Ordered one today! Well for the price I’m like you I’d rather buy several of these than invest a minimum $4000 in one that will take up space and I can’t move it easily and may break. Love it! I set it up in one hour, filled with water in two hours and heated overnight ready for use the next morning! Bubble power is amazing. Because it is summer I’ve set it to 95 degrees which seems perfect to soak in during cool mornings and evenings. Highly recommend this spa!
I am on lockdown in Denver. This was so easy to setup. Just had to wait over night for water temperature to come up to 104. We had bubbles after breakfast. And two times a day since. Made huge points with the girlfriend. Made a huge difference in my imprisonment when I did nothing wrong....
Probably the best money I've ever spent! This got tub was worth every day I spent! I have the in hot tub chairs and the cup holders..t The hot tub works excellent even with the bubbles on the temp never dropped below 96deg! Recommend this to a few friends and they are hooked 😊
Fishermen 82, I like your setup. So, how cold does it get there in the winter? Can't you just recirculate water from the spa into the tankless heater and back into the spa using a small pond pump? If not, why not? I want to get an Intex spa and run it all winter. I'm in western PA.
I have the intex spa and it is great!.. I see other videos where people use the tankless propane heaters with a small pump so yes, it is certainly doable and I want to try it eventually. Right now , in the middle of summer, the intex is just fine at keeping the water hot.. but in colder weather I worry that the cost of electricity is going to be too much.. Being able to quickly get it hot with propane will likely be was less expensive than continuously keeping it hot with electricity.
I have been paranoid to set mine up in the "cold" of SF bc at night it gets down in the 40s and the instructions say not to leave it out under 50 degrees. Yours been surviving freezing weather?
We've had our setup for 2 yrs now with no issues holding 104 in freezing temps. It cools down faster when you're in it, but has not problem getting up to and maintaining 104.
Great review! I’m looking to figure out the timer function. I’m in Chicago and would love to leave up all winter but fear the egg or outside pipes would freeze. How cold does it get by you?
I had to order a tub liner because mice ate holes in it. I purchased a tub liner but it was square and the first on was round. The first one had a clear return hose and the new one doesn’t. Is there a reason there isn’t a return hose and is it needed.
Marketed as a 4 person, but it wouldn't be very comfortable with 4 adults. My wife and I fit very comfortably in it. A little crowded with our 3 kids (10, 7 & 5) but not too bad. I'm 5' 10" 170 my wife is 5'3" 125. Hope that helps!
Unfortunately the heating element is a little weak. It depends on condition. If it just me and not that cold outside it will maintain temp pretty well. Its it cold (40 degrees) and just me I'll notice a temp drop with 10 mins. If it's cold and my wife and I are in it drops a little faster. We don't use the bubbles often but the kids do. They lowers the temp very fast.
@@fishermen8232 oh ok i live in arizona dosent get to cold here even in the winter so im sure it will maintain the 104 no problem and only i will be using it but good to now about the bubles
Our pump seems to be leaking at the air source....It doesn’t sit level with the pool valve attachments...did you put anything else under the spa besides the mat to give it some height?
There are two mats under the hot tub. One is provided from the manufacturer and it's kind of like bubble wrap material. The other is a foam mat we purchased for additional padding.
I have a standard 110v 20 amp GFI outlet on the deck just behind it. Plugs right in. If you need to use an extension cord I'd recommend a good heavy duty 12 gauge cord because the heating element is 1500 watts. You can find one at a local hardware store for $30-$50.
Our water is cloudy and our hottub is slimy on sides and bottom. We have bromine granules, ph down (these were high) and a clearer to try and clean the water. We are getting new filters as ours are already dirty. Do you know if it has to be dumped to get clear water again?
Nope. We only drain our twice a year. I pull the filters out once a week (depending on use) and spray them out and put them back in. I "shock" the water with the chemicals I show in the video almost every time we get out. Just a little. You definitely need to keep the filter running always. Otherwise it will get nasty quick. We've only used the all in one chemicals and have had no issues. I ask change the filters every 30 ish days.
@@christineesboldt5599 we spray them out. The slime goes away with 24hr once you shock the water. The all in one chemicals that we use is more than enough. I put a little less then a cap full after we get out. If it sits for a while without you sand gets slimy all usually put 2-4 cap fills in (depending on how bad it is) in to shock the water and clean/replace the filters. 24 hrs it should be crystal clear. Regular pool chlorine will work as well. You don't need a lot though. Chlorine goes a long way.
@@christineesboldt5599 yes it will get slimy if we slide on cleaning or replacing the filters or don't use it for an extended period of time like a week. Shock the water with a little bit of chlorine, clean the filters and it will clear up in 24 hours. The only downside to this spot is that the filter is pretty weak. You definitely want to treat the water everytime or every other time you use it if you're using it frequently and clean the filters weekly and replace them when needed. We keep the chemicals clothes and drop a little in when we get out. I have a weekly reminder for the filters.
Does anyone have an idea about this? We decided to set up our Coleman in one of the bedrooms just to make sure it does not have any leaks. When we plugged it in, the little light above the buttons on the plug does not come on. Any thoughts?
@@fishermen8232 Yes we did several times, however, husband said the outlet outside that we are plugging into is GFI. Bestway purchased Coleman, went to their website and all you get is error codes, can't even register it for the warranty. I guess we will see. Thank you so much for responding!
Honestly I've never used the timer feature. We keep our heat function on 24/7. It heats to 102 or whatever and it shuts off until the temperature hits 100 then the heating element kicks back on to heat up the water again.
@@fishermen8232 oh ok so once it his set temp it turns off then drops to a certain temp and auto turns back on?? how u get it to turn back on at a set temp??
@@Eastbaypisces its basically a thermostat much like the one in your home. Set it to the desired temperature, leave the heat function on and it will maintain whatever temperature you set it to. No need to turn it on and off .
Hard to say. Haven't really researched it. I haven't noticed that my bill is any higher than usual if that helps..I'd say less than $30 a month. Far less than a 240 volt hot tub.
It was over a year ago. I'm sure they have doubled in price now. It was originally $479 and came up on a deal of the day for $379 I think. Bought it immediately!

Are you referring to the hose coming from the egg heater unit?

YES! I doubled up two pieces of 1/2" plywood about 12"x12" and placed it under the pump. That lifted the pump an inch and solved that issue for me.
Check to make sure there is a rubber washer on the pipe where it screws together.
