  • Are you a UX Designer, UI Designer, Visual Designer or Graphic Designer who wants to stand out from a crowd of applicants when applying for jobs? Of course you want to stand out - that's why you created a beautifully designed resume! How else can you immediately demonstrate to future employers that you've got the design skills they need?
If you've been applying to jobs online, you have probably heard about the "ATS" or Applicant Tracking Systems. There are several types of ATS software products, and they all do roughly the same thing: they help companies manage candidate information so they can make good hiring choices. These systems are designed to "read" resumes and give hiring teams the ability to search the contents of many resumes to find the keywords - and candidates - that they're looking for.
The ATS is designed to be friendly to text-based resumes - the boring, ugly, recommended style you've seen plenty of times. They are NOT friendly to resumes with any graphics, shapes, fancy text styles, etc.
Here's how you can get your gorgeous, full-color designer resume past that ATS and into the hands of the hiring manager.
