- Inflation was good, markets were rallying. US Stock Markets, S&P 500 and NASDAQ 100, were running all time highs, and the Bond Markets were up 1.4%. It was good
And then Jerome Powell came out with his statements.
Markets turned bearish again! The Bonds went back to being bearish, and the stock markets retreated from their All Time Highs. What did Jerome Powell say that caused the Markets to react so strongly?

because if he reduce the interest rate, US dollar will flow out of US market.
So stock market goes up but usd goes down.. pain 😢
The Fed has to consider the uncertainty in 2 war fronts with a 3rd possibility in the Asia Pacific.
Once the Fed start to lower Interest Rate meaning pivot, the share market will start falling. All this is purposely done by the Fed as the US election is happening in November this year.
On June 9th 2024, the Agreement between United States and Saudi Arabia to sell Saudi Oil in USD exclusively ends. Saudi’s Prince has already notified U.S. that this agreement will NOT be renewed and they will no longer accept USD.
Perhaps this might be also one of the key reasons why Jerom Powell is being more cautious, as reducing interest might cause further escalation of US dollar flowing out of US market especially during this period.

Why waste time trying to forecast events that are beyond your control. Even the Feds themselves can't be sure where the economy is heading and geopolitical situation ahead.

Not really under reporting, maybe manipulated ( changed components). Every countries do ithat anyway.

My feel, There is now a 55% of no rate cut in 2024. Since market is already easily exuberant on any bright spot
