Thanks for watching and thanks to Rich Renken for coming on! Check out James Tyler Guitars. They are awesome. Also, please use our Sweetwater link if you buy gear. 👍
Great show. The discussions were great and Mr. Tyler’s career spanning stories are amazing. I had no idea. I love walking away from a show learning something. Thanks 🙏🏽
Great show Marc and "Yes" Dave is the easiest (and coolest) customer service, amazing modifications. Definitely going to check out James Tyler Guitars.....
I played a James Tyler Japan classic in guitarguitar Birmingham, it was the best guitar I have ever played. The neck was perfect, the size, shape, the frets everything. I bought a suhr classic the year before and didn’t have the money for the Tyler. I still think about that guitar, even after all that time 😢
When are you going to feature Billy Rowe, Friedman luthier who replaced Grover Jackson on the COA? I've had eight Friedman guitars and love them. thanks.
Did Rich ever work directly with Lincoln Brewster? Lincoln helped Line 6 sell a TON of gear over the years. Brewster even has his own USA made Fender signature Strat that came out a couple years ago. The Lincoln Brewster and Eric Johnson Artist model Strats are at the top of the food chain for that particular series. Rich must have worked with him. I wish I had had watched this live so I could have asked him with a super chat.
California commercial property rent is too high, gas is too high, taxes are too high. I bet if Friedman moved to Austin Texas, he would do better there.

So fun to geek out about the inside history and stories. Rich seems like such a great guy
Came late to this one. Great episode and a rich resource of stories. Many thanks.

Excellent show as always.
Rich seems like such a sweet dude. Love his enthusiasm. Hope to own a Tyler one day.
THIS is a great guest, in fact you and Mark owe US money, Rich did all the work 😄. Great stories, seems like a genuinely nice guy.
I so relate to the picky eating. Now, whenever people offer to cook, I tell them anything from a kid’s menu 😅

Great relaxed show! I know he’s touring right now, but you guys should get Doug Aldrich on the show.
You guys should have The Edge on show. I wonder if he remembers his signal path from PopMart era 😉
Anyway anybody can get 1 of those smoke damaged cabinets 😄I would’ve happily taken 1
Of "the magic" in a guitar Dave speaks of at 1:08, check out Rick Toone - Goshawk.
The venue he described sounds like the Crofoor/Pike Room to me
