I love fishing that trench anytime I visit my in laws. It produces so well. You can even get walleye and smallmouth all day bank fishing the rocky shorelines there
No. Way... I was looking through videos on kayak stabilizers and came across yours... I knew I recognized this voice. Thanks for the helpful idea, but more importantly, thank you for being a great teacher and coach! FYI - more than 20 years later and I still take all of my deposition notes in RED PEN - Scout Team Captain
It’s wonderful to know you’re doing well Jeffrey. I hope you got something out of the video. Are you kayaking in GP? Wishing you the best.
Wow, that's a gr8 addition on your kayak. The DIY was very economical, & EZ. Thx 4 sharing on Utube.
I'm glad I came here, because I have the exact same kayak. Now I know what I need for a stabilizer.
This is brilliant! Much love from the UK 🇬🇧
That is an awesome design!👍✌️
I just fished in 2 foot rollers this weekend...it was a little mentally taxing, but that was rare for my waters...gotta give you lots of credit for fishing truly big water regularly and showing the footage! Here's to lots of fish and paddling in your future. 👊
Thank you for your input. I agree with the stress associated with “big water” especially the rolling waves. I must say the stabilizers in this video take away this anxiety completely. Wishing you the best.
great work mate
Great job 👏.. i fish offshore sometimes so will give these a try!
Looks good!
Could you provide a parts list and a cut list for the pipe please? I just bought a Sun dolphin Journey 10ss and it's so unstable I wish I had never bought it! I have to build out rigers if I'm going to seriously use it for fishing! Please help??? Thank you for your video! Really Awesome!
it is in your way paddling I just installed my stabilizer further back
I'm attempting to make this . Question ? The arms that extend out are 2" in diameter or are they 1-3/4 ?
It is 2” - on the video there’s a supply list. Good luck - I hope the assembly goes well.
Hello Sir.
Great design.
Only question the pvc which goes in to the rod holders of the kayak is 3/4th inch and the Tee used is a 2" how is that possible
PVC 2” to 3/4” reducer was used
I found them on Amazon
Do you have a complete parts list of pvc parts ??
On the video there’s a list of parts.
Gotta tell you not that long ago I was swimming the equivalent of over a mile in a Olympic sized pool or 82-85 links a day 5x a week
During that time I damn near drowned 2x ONLY reason I survived was because I was in absolutely excellent physical condition no doubt in my mind whatsoever if a person in average shape I would've never survived either incident
I say this because even in my prime of physical shape and an unbelievably strong and capable swimmer I would NEVER even consider taking a small boat let alone a kayak out on a big water lake and go farther from shore than I was absolutely confident I could swim even though I were a PFD when ever in a small boat Kayak or canoe
9/10 people have absolutely no grasp whatsoever just how lightning fast things do go from absolutely calm to absolutely life threatening that's why so so many people do not survive emergencies on the water
I would NEVER take a small boat or kayak out on the open ocean just me personally
What are the actual pieces that go into the rod holder??
PVC goes directly into the rod holders. They’re then strapped down to the kayak to minimize movement and strengthen stability.
Could you please provide me the information to build these stabilizers?
I’d love to help - beyond what’s provided on the video what details do you need?
A detailed parts list would go a long way helping most, I believe.
I’ll try to put something together
@@Askteacherz I really like your system Mr Teacher. I agree. A detailed parts list would be great cos otherwise I will come out from the Plumbing shop with a new Bidet))) I once went into a bike shop and came out with a share in a racehorse. I live in Ireland. These things happen.
