    Ronnie Coleman is a really respectable guy, he comes of as very genuine and he has lots of great accomplishments. Everybody cant be a bodybuilder and every bodybuilder can't be the best.

      unfortunatelly today if a guy have a minimum of potential within less than 7 years or 6 years he can have a bodybuilder shape with all the shit on the market ( drugs ) anabolics steroids and GH + training meals plans ... Coleman wouldn't have accomplished what he did it naturally !!! today he lost over 100lbs pounds of fake muscles so please guys Wake up and get back to health's value .

      +Serge Beaulieu true being completely natural you'll never achieve that size, wonder what his cycles were and the cost a year. Ronnie is cool tho.

      I think it has to do with him having to do public engagements since he actaully runs a business now. Jay Cutler is more outgoing than he used to be. I used to hate talking publicly while in school but then my job required me giving presentations and I adjusted nicely.

Bodybuilding is such a niche "sport", and only a VERY small few at the top make any money, I've never understood injecting yourself full of chemicals, and then pushing a bunch of plates up and down. If you have a chance to be a real athlete in the NFL, MLB, or NBA and making $50 million dollars, then I can understand taking steroids.......but not just to make yourself as massive as possible and flex on stage

    • @Sithtiger
      @Sithtiger 8 років тому +28

      Well, he just had surgery, back surgery I think and it's because of all the really heavy lifting he did and continues to do. I don't think he's on any gear right now and I don't know if he'll go back on it, but with massive amounts of steroids these guys use and then go off it, you lose at least 30% to 50% of what you gained. Plus most bodybuilders don't cycle off gear like they're supposed to so their body can recover. That said, Ronnie is a really nice guy and he deserved every Olympia that he won. Oh and btw, I wasn't implying that steroids allow you to be lazy and just gain muscle. You still have to work just as hard on them.
      The only problems I have with steroids are 2fold. One, you have to do know that if you do gear like all the pro BB's and pro wrestlers do, you're almost certainly are going to shorten your life. For some people, it's worth it. Secondly, gear is only unfair if the sport requires you not to use them, like most sports, UFC, baseball basketball....etc. People who use gear in those sports are cheaters. In something like Mr. Olympia, it's cheating because anyone who is competing in Olympia is on gear. There are natural BB contests and with those if you're on gear, then you're cheating. The thing is I'm on TRT because I actually do have a problem with my body producing enough Testosterone, so I don't cycle, I'm always on it. I do wonder if that will do anything to me, but I take it as directed, so I don't take massive doses like pro BB's do and Test is the only steroid I take. BB's take multiple steroids, HGH.....just a lot of stuff. Plus, it's got to be hard being that big and strong and with age, even if you took the same amount of gear you used to take, you're gonna lose size. It has to be difficult, especially if that was your career, but then I guess the same can be said of any sport. After you get older, you just get slower and weaker. Well I just depressed myself....sigh.....lol.

      The era of monsters of mass started earlier - from Yates. And, to be honest Arnold's body was not so "aesthetically more pleasing" - there was lots of athletes with much more perfect aesthetic.

    Wow…. Not just has Ron’s appearance changed over the years, seems that his tone in his voice has changed and he seems to have is bearings back together. What Ronnie did when he was competing was nothing short of amazing. He truly is and was a Monster. Ronnie Coleman (1998-2005) & Lee Haney (1984-1991)
    Hold the record with 8 Mr Olympia Tittles. A feat that will never be reconstructed or duplicated ever again.

      @@tamirsudri1 Or how about that steroid tests are not on a standard 12-panel and are very expensive?? Also the Arlington police department probably took a great deal of pride in having a Mr. Olympia winner on their force in addition to having a quasi celebrity in their mist. Or just maybe they turned a blind eye because the collective thinking was it's understood the sport involves peds but hey it's not crack, or heroin. Just my thinking on the matter as I always thought the same thing.
