Look at most bodybuilders from the 70s and 80s today. either dead or walking with a walker. Forget the 90s onward. Those guys are so full of roids they'll prob not see their 50th birthday unless they stopped the heavy lifting and roids altogether. That's the only way.

He looks so much healthier and more alive than Coleman who is always under the knife. I mean Coleman great champion but he paid the price for going too hard. And yes I get it different eras but still the human body can only take so much.

I always liked Lee Haney as a champion and true ambassador of BB.....but there's no way that he beat Lee Labrada in 1990....Haney was 20 lbs lighter than the previous year and Labrada was the same weight as 1989 and conditioning was awesome.....anyway, glad mr. Haney is doing well and looking healthy and happy...

I liked Lee's era of bodybuilding best. Small waist, wide shoulders, excellent conditioning, and great overall size. Most people that strive to be "body builders" want a look like this, but generally smaller haha

Lee Haney had a look that was legendary l, but it wasn't freaky. A look, where women themselves would probably swoon over. The Symmetry, the lines, it flowed perfectly. He also never made any drastic changes, I believe he said he only gained maybe a pound of muscle per year during his run.
Lee is a great champion and fine person. He loves God, loves his wife, and loves bodybuilding. He’s probably the healthiest former champion because he’s got a life of balance and healthy perspective. He’s a true athlete as opposed to a chemical experiment.
I am from China and have known Lee Haney since 1980s. He was the best of that era! It still is! As he said, I think the game is going the wrong way, beauty, symmetry and health are going away!!
If you take less of steroids and more of nutrients you look like this post retirement. Otherwise you get a life of Rich Piana. Looking at his face he was the most unhealthy bodybuilder I've come across. Ruined his body within, specially arteries and world know what happened to him
Today's bodybuilders all have thick guts, I agree with Lee that it takes away from the look of being totally fit. Back in Lee's era you never sew the heavy breathing and sweating like you do today. I watched one show where a athlete in the top 5 had trouble holding poses.
Gonna be hard to top that.. in fact only Ronnie has "tied".. hah No disrespect to Weider.. but they should go back to the original style Trophy like these.
I like Lee. I just wish he was a bit more upfront about the role steroids play in the sport. He always struck me as similar to one of those old school wrestlers that didn't want to admit wrestling was stage. If there are more conversations about roids maybe one day the could be legal or at least legalize to a point like England

no one ever questioned any of his wins because he consistently brought quality physique every time he stepped on stage. It is hard to critique any of his body part in any of the 8 outings
I feel like Lee Haney is a better 8x mr Ollympia then Coleman. He never had any controversial win and he was never beaten by anyone. He was always spot on and always the clear winner.
