Plastic Welding the Firebird Bumper...Again!

A while ago I tried to fix the bumper on the Firebird with a plastic welding method using hot staples and...well...it didn't really work all that well. So trying a different method this time with what amounts to basically a soldering iron with a special tip, and some plastic stock to melt to it.
Never done this before. No idea if it works.
Side Note: Definitely should NOT quit my day job and start fixing bumpers.
