Pro tip for some OEM+ wheels. Get some style 21's! Also you could install a X brace in the front, they come on convertibles and they fit right onto all e36's. They help stiffen up the front a bunch.

That BMW OE water pump is actually fine - it has a composite impeller, far better than the old plastic ones that crack. I'd actually use a composite impeller over a metal one, since the heavier (cast) impellers place more wear on the bearings
Just use the oem water pump. This is the same case as the E92 rod bearings. The pumps easily last 60k-80k and don't start leaking like the metal propeller. Also, use the oem plastic thermostat housing, metal ones warp and leak over time.
I was thinking the same thing. Metal albeit stronger is heavier. The composite material is lighter will spin more efficiently for a lot longer and causes least damage to the bearings. I hate that there is no definitive proof whether metal or plastic impeller is the best hands down.
When you do the clutch also replace the Clutch Release Fork (Part #: 21511223302) and the Ball Pin (Part #: 21511223328). I’d get the Stainless Steel Pin from BimmerWorld (Part #: RE.CLU.PIN). Part of the reason your Clutch engages so low is that the Fork has wear on it. A tiny amount of wear on that fork, yields a tremendous amount of lowered clutch engagement. My buddy is an E36 BMW Guru.
Buy the BMW specific rear ball joint and trailing arm tool. Allows you to remove and replace pressed in BJs with hand tools. Otherwise you are signing up for a hellacious job.

I recommend upgrading to the chase bays tripled baffled power steering kit. It wont leak or “sweat” like the oem ones tend to do over time and the fluid always stays leveled especially during hard turns and corners
You mentioned a low bite point in the clutch pedal , you need to change to a braided house between the clutch master cylinder and the slave cylinder I did this mod not long after I got my car 18 years ago and it's still perfect.
When and/or if you pull the tranny out there's an all metal throw out bearing that's a much more durable upgrade for the plastic oe throw out bearing. I bought mine from Active Autowerk. I've had to pull my tranny and replace just the throw out bearing due to the grease drying out and frying the plastic casing. So, "while I was in there" I also did a complete clutch replacement...
