Great saw, I have ran several tanks of gas through it and it is running great. it came with two bars and chains and arrived in 4 days. Very good value for the money.
After assembling my proyama chainsaw which wasn’t to difficult. I used it on some blowdown limbs from my white pine trees. Most limbs were 10” on down. The chainsaw performed flawlessly. I bought the 2 sprocket one and I highly recommend it. Extremely impressed!!!
Yep, compared to my 72 and 105cc saws, this thing is little and lighter than those others. Highly unlikely that it is actually 62cc by the way it cuts.
Thank you for such an honest review. Just bought one and arrives in a few days . You have reassured me on my purchase. Can't wait to see more videos on it in the future!
It's the feedback on the ns872 that you have that I am very interested in, since I bought the same one on Amazon while they had a great sale on it. I'm in the US and I bought mine about a week ago for about $250 counting tax. Mine came with a 24inch bar and chain. I haven't even started mine up yet. So I admit I'm hoping to hear good things about your saw holding up. Lol I admit it was an opportunity buy that I couldn't resist. The saw I was wanting I bought just before this one. A Farmatec G111 top handle saw. A clone of the Stihl Ms200t I use to have and missed. I had to pay more for it and still buy a bar and chain for it. Anyway I'm really rooting for your ns872 to hold up and keep working great for you. That big milling saw looks like a real beast and I hope you have no issues with it. Cool video and thank you for comparing your new saw to the ns872. I was hoping you bought this new saw because you were so impressed with the ns872. Lol Wishing you much success. 😎👍
Hey man, thanks for watching my videos! When i got my ns872 i did a video on it, here is the link ua-cam.com/video/2u6CSsAWx2o/v-deo.html It has been a great saw and is my go to for cutting down trees and making fire wood, though its too big to tote around in my work truck or on the jet boat, which is mostly why i bought this proyama I bought the ns872 also as an opportunity saw because i got it for $275 canadian with the bar and chain. She was a little tough to start at first and still can be, but i have it figured out now. Choke on, 2 pulls, choke off 2 more pulls and she should fire up! It leaks chain bar oil alot so i store it vertical with the bar up, no more leaking. Shes a torqy beast and i actually love the saw! The 105cc milling saw has been awesome! Really easy to start, and torque to no end, perfect for milling, but way to heavy to use for fire wood, but great if i have a huge tree to fall with that 36" bar. Check out my channel and some of my videos, im sure you will enjoy my newer videos!
@@FabbinAdventures I watched that ns872 unboxing and first cuts first. I was really glad it turned out to be the same version as mine. The first starts when you fuel up for the first time are always alot more pulls when you don't have a purge bulb to load fuel into the carb. I use to have several Stihl pro saws and they all were pretty much the same that way. Of course Stihl saws are out of reach for me anymore. I subscribed after that first video I watched of yours. Thank you so much for replying and letting me know how you've been using it. I was afraid you was just using it for a small wood milling and I won't be using mine for milling at all. Mine will mainly be used for bucking and not alot of that to be honest. I just really like a great working chainsaw of Stihl's design that holds up good. My G111 will be for little bonfires and camp fires. It's light weight and a clone of one of the most prized arborist saws out there. A used Stihl Ms200t goes for around $600 and can't afford that at all. I'll be looking out for any videos you put out of falling and bucking up trees. 😎👍
@williamgrissom1995 well thanks for watching that video and subscribing. That big 105cc neotec saw started on the 4th or 5th pull if i remember right, and i was so impressed by it that when i found this super sale on the ns872 it was a no brainer to buy it. Unfortunately the prices of these neotec saws on amazon has doubled or tripled and they are not a deal any more. May as well buy a stihl if im gonna only get a chinese knock of for a few buck less. I have a project coming up that i will have to mill some logs for. Maybe i'll turn that into a video. Thanks for watching and commenting!
If you haven't already, make sure the carburetor bolts are tight. It is pretty common that they aren't. Also, it is my understanding that the smaller Proyama chainsaws have a very restrictive muffler compared to my PCS 68. Getting a better muffler should wake up the little cutter a bit bit don't forget to adjust the carb after or it will run a lot more lean.
Thanks, i hadn't heard about the carb loosening up, i'll check it out! I did hear about the restrictive muffler, i'll look into that! Thanks for watching and commenting!
@@FabbinAdventures I noticed the bar oil thing as well with mine, saws always mark territory so it weirds me out a bit! The powerhead is insanely light as well, with the 24" bar it is very bar heavy and if I am measuring correctly the 24 is actually a 25 and the 20 is actually an 18 but that's a non issue.
I bought this saw last week. My experience was totally different. I spent an hour reading the manual front to back, assembled the saw, mixed proper fuel, added bar oil. Checked spark plug, too. Followed start directions exactly as written. 2 hours and probably 300 pulls later, after completely disassembling and reassembling the saw, not only did it not ever run, but I can't even reassemble it anymore. I took the side cover (chain side) off to try to adjust the bar and it simply will not go back together - inside the plastic cover is a metal ring that is supposed to go around the outside of the chain sprocket, but it's too tight and no matter how much I pull, twist, or flex that ring, it will not slip over the sprocket, and therefore I can't secure the side cover. Mine is going back for a refund on Monday.
Well that sucks, isnt that ring the chain brake? Id have to look at mine as im not real familiar with it. But if it is, and i know its a silly question but did you try with the chain brake handle in the unlocked position? Thats too bad because i really like the saw sofar. You're welcome. The MS 250 is a nice saw 45cc and 3hp. That's very good power for 45cc, my Husky 50 (50cc) had 3hp. Well like they say, " one mans junk is another mans treasure"
Im not saying they are better than the big names, but for the money, this saw is pretty darn good.

It looks like my Husqvarna
Oh yeah? What model husky do you have?
This saw has been great, though not as powerfull as a 62cc should be.

@@FabbinAdventures 455 rancher 55.5 cc
Ive ran a couple ranches in the past, seemed like good saws, heavier and better built than this saw.
@FabbinAdventures they are awesome saws but that chinese one looks really good for that price. Everything is made in China now so can make replicas of everything. You're jet boat elk hunt looked awesome I was thinking about that last year for my elk hunting.
@devante5885 oh yeah, for the money this saw is great!
We did a 4 day jet boat elk/moose hunt this year. I got a bull moose with my bow, my buddy got a 5x5 elk with his rifle.
That jet boat elk hunt video is one of my favorite videos ive done, too bad it doesnt get many views. I made 3 parts to that video, basically the whole season.
They will cut good for a while..then there shot..not worth it.
Mine is still cutting good, will see how long it lasts i guess.
These saws are too heavy.
Really, i dont find them heavy compared to my bigger saws. Not sure how they could make them any lighter.
Thanks for watching.
@@FabbinAdventures the one I have is 10kilo.
I've never weighed mine but i dont think mine weighs that much. I cant see there being much difference in weight if both saws are the same model.
@@Denvermorgan2000What the hell is that? I have the top shelf Farmertec MS660 the Stihl clone and it's 18 lbs. Maybe weigh it again sober😂
@yungsmile7546 the 8105 is a tank compared to the 660, add a alaskan mill and yes it gets up there in weight. If thats what you were refering to any way.
