Everyone that keeps yelling about reliability, has never driven one or owned one. If you havent had one since the DISCOVERY 2, im sorry you’re traumatized but that was literally 25+ years ago. these new cars are actually solid. Stop yelling unreliable and go drive one
@ yup, super solid. Just did an oil change on my moms Velar two days ago. 81k miles and no timing chain rattle. Checked underneath for leaks, and guess what….. no leaks! Amazing cars. They aren’t perfect but much better than in years past
I used to see so many of these when they came out in 2018 or so. Now that I watched this video, I realize I actually haven’t seen a single Velar in the last 6 months. I use to want one of these sooo bad but compared to modern designs, the Velar actually looks outdated. Good review Joe!
@RaitisRides Joe, Don't stop me now from Queen popped in my head. It was written for u, brother. "Don't stop me now!" " I'm having such a good time, I'm having a ball."
Funny to be a “midsize” for American public. In here in Spain it’s a total monster (a neighbour has one and it calls your attention for sure). Nice review as always!
Yeh around 16:00 you almost drive off the road while trying to show the screen controls. This is what I REALLY hate about the new high-tech "touch screen for everything". You can' t just feal and operate the dials by touch while watching the road, you MUST take your eyes off the road and LOOK at the screen to actually see what you're doing - very dangerous ! Sometimes old school really is the best. Just because it's new, does not automatically mean it's better !
As a previous 2018 Range Rover Sport owner, the vehicle looks good but can not justify spending such money on a new one. Putting it through a laser touch free car wash, it's incredible how much plastic is on the car. High cost to insure & service, as reliability is poor. A large money pit. For the same amount of money, best look at other mid-sided luxury SUVs and for huge savings best look at, say, a Mazda CX-70 for the family. Thanks for uploading.
I’m definitely biased but I love my awd sport Lyriq much more compared to this. Better styling (imo, styling obviously subjective), 500 hp, super smooth ride, nearly zero road noise, and electric fits my lifestyle perfectly. Had it for almost a year now and I feel like it still stands out on the road!
Cadillac EVs & others now guarantees no possible maintenance money pit issues so can't go wrong But Because now you never see Velars on the road due to reliability issues means they should make it an EV
You cracked me up with the old lady and the diamond. Beautiful Velar, but I hope they will eventually put a cooler in the center console. Only then will I seriously consider it over the Sport.
You can get a Range Rover for less than a Grand Wagoneer! I never thought I'd see a time of that happening. If I had one, there would be no eating scones or anything, or drinking tea in mine! Nope!
Thats why you get the p250 SE model. Coil springs, 4cyl, with the 8 speed. The i6 has been proven to be reliable as well, but you’ll definitely be fine with the 4cyl model.
Hey Joe. Good video. Are you sure that isnt a 2025? I traded my Jag F-Pace SVR for 2025 Velar P400 HSE 10 days ago. Wanted something mellower, since traded F-Type P450 for 2024 F-Type P575 R75. Didnt need two bonkers vehicles. Have been pleasantly surprised with performance of the Velar P400 - it's a nice compliment to the F-Type. Great blend of performance and luxury (but the interior is no match for F-Pace full leather. F-Pace are a much better value). Thought I would miss the physical knobs, but have no issue after a week with it (used to Pivi Pro from the F-Pace). The Mode short cut buttons help a lot. My 2025 Velar has 360 degree camera.
@@normanoleinik2420everyone knows they're money pits there is no guess work. Anyone that owns one and says they never had problems is a liar and never owned one
Unfortunately the interior of all RR’s have become so stale and “Telsa” like. They are losing their distinctive interior qualities. Particularly the Velar. I would go pre 2024 for the sake of interior beauty.
Cuz they lease these Velars until the next one comes up for the next model year. Lease darlings is what these are so these aren’t beholden to anyone except social media clout chasing kids flush with trust fund money.
@@HemiLyfestylewait really?? Everyone I know think these look great. Thank god you told me to trust you! That convinced me to change my mind! It’s ugly!!! 😒🤡
Heed everyone's warning about Land Rover's horrible reliability. In fact, it wouldn't surprise me if Joe had to drop the Velar from this video off at the dealer cuz it broke down right after the on throttle drive. They're horrible. Horrible, horrible, horrible.

I agree , I just bought my 3rd range rover and all last years no one gave me one issue
Facts!!! I just ordered my third Rover. They are wonderful vehicles.
Thank you!!!! Someone with sense
This is so true... I've owned 2 Velars, and never had any issues! People just love to repeat nonsense.

Great Video! Range Rover is personally my favorite luxurious car brands. :)
“That's what she said!” 😂 I need a Range Rover.
RR Velar my favorite 😍

Very good performance numbers. I have to say that it does look sharp.
11:42 😂😂😂😂😂 Good one, Joe!
Love that they didn't go with the floating ipad design
It is nicely setup for sure!
Have you ever done the 2023 BMW x1 or if you have, can you send me the link?
Better start booking your time at the repair shop. These cars are notorious for the time that they spend being fixed!
Looks good.
Love your car video
I love bringing them to you!
Yes of course & I buy this 1 day if I got lottery.
Sounds decent
I go BMW X5M (PC) but I do like the looks of this RR. Yes no 360 camera? Zonk. Needs more physical buttons.
I wish the Range Rover brand wasn’t so watered down. Was nice when seeing one was a rarity.
I think for most people it comes down to reliability.
Joe, I guess the mentality has changed about needing to climb on the roof. The color looks like what GM has in the Dark Ash Metallic.
You are right about that!
I love them just don’t trust them for reliability that check engine light come on they might not can fix it 🤷♀️
Uuughh … Range Rovers frustrate me. They look soooo good, but totally lack reliability on any level.
AGREED!

Looks good but reliable ?
That’s the million dollar question Tom
@@RaitisRidescoach knows the answer is no
I suppose it was too costly to remove the window sill on the Velar facelift.
This one is my baby, my baby. 😊
I'll say it for Joe 😏 Hell NO I wouldn't pay 80k for this SUV, are you crazy? 🤣😂🤣
👏🏽💯👏🏽#RaitisRides 💯👏🏽💯💪🏽
Can you review the Ferrari Purosangue, Mr. Raiti?
I will try to get my hands on one Adam

Best advice on this one!
I thought the velar was a compact SUV and the RR sport was midsize
So then what would the evoque be?

But only americans would call a Velar "midsize".
Turbo charged and supercharged to leave you stranded on the side of the road faster😂😂😂
I’m so upset they took away all the buttons. The point of Range is luxury yet utilitarian. That’s why we buy.
Also one thing I love about my Range is you can cover the cup holders. What happened to the sliding cover??
Joe, this is a nice unreliable luxury only a money with no brainer would buy these.
get it and I will tailgate you with my Camry XSE 😅
This SUV will spend more time at the mechanic’s shop than in your driveway
But the dealer will treat you like a king, or so I hear.

I can understand where you are coming from.

Stay tuned!
Still basically looks the same imo
You are mostly right Freddy!
Drive it for a month, and sell it on CARS & BIDS.
How about selling it to Autohaus Of Naples? Or to Bill (Curious Cars) to take to auction?

Easy! Unreliable vehicle, multiple repairs continually not worth the price
Total junk, you will literally have a problem every week.
Most people I know driving this are really really bad driver.
Bad rep is there for a reason.
