More than just a super video from you again. Calm and informative. I'd like to join such a clinik and really congrats to Tim to admit he was scared 💪 !!!
Hi Marko, thank you. Great to hear. I hope you get a chance soon to do a clinic like that. You can always contact Bob and just maybe you could organize a clinic at your homespot. You never know... Thanks again and.... See you on the water!!!
Very good footage demonstrating that how benefits you can get in short time when having tips frm pro, i'm still missing air jibe because i don't know what's wrong ...
Hi Eric, Thank you, great to hear! A clinic by a pro like Bob van de Burgt is absolutely a shortcut to the next level! If you have the chance I can definitively recommend it. If you send me a link of a video (or send the video via DM on my INSTA) of you doing a foil jibe I'll will discuss it in an edition of WIND LIFE. Have fun and... See you on the water!!!
Hi Mats, thank you! In windfoil racing you are looking for a comfortable stance and control. As most of the regular iQfoil racing is sailing up- & downwind the foil will be pretty powered which can also be seen by how far the foilers are hanging off to the front while in their harness. To have more pressure on the front of the board when going on a deep downwind course you can place your backfoot out of the back strap and in front of the strap (and to the inside) to have a comfortable stance and be able to keep the board level. In this situation you will be going relatively fast without having much pressure in your sail. I also use it as well sometimes when pointing so it's easier to have a more upright stance, but when really pushing across or just slightly off the wind I prefer to use both straps for maximum control. I don't do much course racing on the foil, but mostly slalom, so maybe the iQfoilers on the channel how are reading this can complement. See you on the water!!!
Hi Carmelo, I'm using the older slamom version of the X15 in the width 81cm. This board is great for slalom with sails up to 8.0. I also use it with 9.0 and a 90cm wide 850 cm2 frontwing, but for the bigger sail sizes I would recommend a wider board (around 90cm). I almost never use a course race setup, but I expect you would want the wider boards 90-100cm for that. Have fun flying over the water and... See you on the water!!!
Hi Michal, If I look at all the pro's in the PWA it looks like the Patrik foil is absolutely one of the fastest. In the video Bob van den Burgt used the Patrik foil during his clinic and he was quite fast! Although I must admit that besides having a fast foil it was also to a large amount due to his skill and training. This winter I'm gonna try to break my personal best speed on the windfoil again. So stay tuned to the channel and... See you on the water!
Great video and great tips. Keep up the good work!

isthis the lake Geesbeek? I have been there many times, I love foiling.
@@GuolinLiu-v7y it’s “de Zuwe”.
The foil is fantastic especially for those small lakes with often gusty conditions
Hi, great video. A question, sometimes I see windfoiler (iQfoilers) standing with the back foot infront of the footstrap. Why do they do this?

seems x15 going well...any opinio about this board with light wind for course racing?

speed depend on the foil, look at Patrik AEON Foil Set PWA-Ti 375/550 you can reach 33kts maybe more :)
