𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐥𝐝 𝐖𝐞𝐭𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐬 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟐: 𝐖𝐞 𝐚𝐥𝐥 𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐞 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞
We present the last in the series of 9 films from this year's celebration of the World Wetland Day, organised on February 5, 2022, by the Wetland Conservation Centre (CMok).
Prof. Ifo Suspense Averti teaches Ecology, Forestry and Climate Sciences at the Marien N'Gouabi University in Brazzaville. He is also a member of the Congo Peat team, which is studying tropical peatlands in the Congo Basin, discovered in recent years. Professor Averti with the team discovered that the Cuvette Centrale wetland is the largest tropical peatland in the world. The results of the research were published in 2017 in Nature.

Przedstawiamy ostatni z cyklu 9 filmów z tegorocznych obchodów Światowego Dnia Mokradeł, zorganizowanych 5 lutego 2022 roku przez Centrum Ochrony Mokradeł (CMok).
Prof. Ifo Suspense Averti wykłada ekologię, leśnictwo i nauki o klimacie na Uniwersytecie Marien N'Gouabi w Brazzaville. Jest również członkiem międzynarodowego zespołu Congo Peat, który bada tropikalne torfowiska dorzecza Konga, odkryte dopiero w ostatnich latach. Profesor Averti wraz z zespołem odkryli, że mokradło Cuvette Centrale jest największym tropikalnym torfowiskiem świata. Wyniki badań zespołu zostały opublikowane w roku 2017 roku w Nature.
