Great stuff Matt, keep the great vids coming.
Thanks fella :)
Should be an interesting series. Having watched your flights with this plane I'm convinced that you have been getting in lots of practice before announcing the RTNO Limbo Flying competition....
Was the speed increase due to better airflow to the prop? How is the CG with the big battery? I did order 2 when you said they were on sale. Cheap!
Hey Lauren, it was something like 8mph more in a straight line. The CG is perfect for mine with the battery, thats all I run in it. Matt
It looks like there's not much separation between components on the mini desk. Has it ever caused a problem?
I have the MD with extended wings and it is greaaat. I did a personal best if 16.1 miles out with the crossfire and MD. Beautiful plane.
Evening Horsship, yea I've seen those. Glad they work well! Matt
Any chance of get you model set up file for the taranis. I'm also looking to get the mini swept wing one you've demonstrated. You are cost me money.
Hey Carlos, it's already up on UA-cam, just search for it on the channel, Matt
Oy Matt :)
Pulling that many amps from your Multistar 5200.. how many amps exactly with that motor/prop.. you ever puffed one of those batteries?
Howdy fella, when being punched it's upwards of 75A and cruising around I think was 59A, but I can't remember the exact figure, I keep an eye on the pack voltage more than anything else. As for puffing one, not yet & I've tried in the Mini Drak too! Matt
I hope you get commission - making me want one real bad. Interesting about the noise from the mode - it’s what put me off before. I wonder if a 3d printed tube leading up to the motor would also help. I had a foamaroo (might have to google that..) whisper quiet wing because motor moved back a bit and the tube prepping cleaner air for the prop.
I'm not sure about a tube, but moving it backwards into clean air definitely helped cut the raspy noise down. Obviously it's not a quiet model, but one I can fly as often as I can past 9am. Matt
Great overview Matt I just bought one now in 2019. Super excited after watching this video. And you're right after looking at it and laminating is going to be a bitch. But I'm sure I'll get through it. Also NG graphics from Canada is coming out with a wrap for the mini drak in 2 weeks which he says you will not need to laminate it if you use his wrap. I hope this is the case because it's going to be a nightmare to laminate.
Keep up the great work young man
subscribed and look forward to more of your videos
The chase video at the end was intense I loved it 🔥
Cheers from Northern California
Rob
Matt, I finally got to fly my Mini Drak. WOW! Suddenly, all my other wings and FPV planes SUCK! Thank you again, keep up the good work. Oh, Lithium Ion?
Hi, where did you get the skin / foil, if I may ask? Thanks!
Hi, watch the video it's explained in it, Matt
Thank you
Very tempty. What is the lowest speed it can go?
Morning, I have no idea, I don't fly it slow unless I'm landing or have stuffed it, Matt
I use the Runcam2 HD as my FPV cam and DVR. Doesn't seem like anybody does that? I haven't had any trouble with that setup and it looks quite good! Maybe its the mounting, I always make quick swap mounts so I can move it easily.
Morning, yea I hear it works quite well, just go careful of it having a full card, completely unflyable then! Matt
Where can I get these laminate film? I like it.
Howdy, see the series I did on laminating. I got mine from Amazon, but eBay is also an option. Matt
@@RagTheNutsOffNice water transfer design. But I cannot find it on Banggood. I also want to try Hydrodip.
Afternoon Matt, pretty sure you said EPO, 99.999999%positive that model is Modeled EPP, at least mine is, don't think it was ever molded in EPO..
Morning Erik, yes did you miss the annotation about that? Matt
RagTheNutsOff......... uh nope, lol was listening not watching lol, kinda like a visual podcast on the drive home lol
Well this model is quite some time in your possesion. That surely tells something about the model considering your famous landings lol :-)
Hahaha if does indeed Jelle. She's has had some smacks along the way and isn't likely to be cleared out at any point either. Matt
How does this compare to the lil zohd dart ir your opinion?, im kinda new to wings n zodh really helps my barebacking :) ty I love the channel brother keep making great Content fam!
That looks like the big drak
Hey Derrick, yea it's a baby version 😬
What is CG?
Howdy Marcello, I can't remember for mine, but check with Chris Click or the RTBO FB group as one of the +3000 will know facebook.com/groups/1441444805872970/ Matt
So what you're saying is that you're quite ambivalent about this model then? :-)
Let's see... a 5200 10C battery with a 100A ESC... Now that's how you fry eggs! It just needs some laser-pointers on the wingtips for night flying and it would be perfect!
Hmm... I could do with one of those... where's my RTL button? :->
Lol
Funny i love that battery on my 450
Just gotta say 100 amp esc for planes probably would not fly for more than 15 min. on a quad. I will never buy another plane esc again absolute junk for the uninformed, Not trying to be rude but Quad esc"s are decades ahead of plane esc"s. and the hobby companies are steeling from those who believe you must use a plane esc for a plane and a quad esc for a quad. Pay the same with more options and better control and reliability Buy a 3 AMP BEC and never worry about a fried esc again.
Howdy, thanks for the input on this old video. See the later ones for updates around multi rotor ESC's. Matt
