Do you recommend laminating the mini drak I know it's 2019 now and you probably moved on to something different. I'm getting mixed answers it's like 50 50 people saying to laminate it and then people saying not to. But I do know that NG Graffix from Canada is coming out with a wrap for the mini drak and I will be getting in one of the first ones I wonder if it will be more than enough without any laminate. Especially since I suck at painting it would be a blessing lol. Anyway back to your mini drak videos to see what I can learn.

This is the coolest plane I've seen. That nose cone is seriously strong. It can handle at least a half dozen old guys on crutches without even a dent.

Great tips Jeff:-) I really love the Ritewing SS motors. The long shaft really increases the performance of the motors. I wish motor manufacturers would learn from this and offer similar style of prop shafts. The propeller work much better in the cleaner air. Maybe a longer shaft puts more strain on the bearings though. I would assume so, but I haven't heard of any bearing failures.

+Håvard Støre Andresen I made the mistake of not buying the ss motor for my big Drak- I was pulling 20-25a cruising- too much. Always regretted that decision

Hey 7demo7, I talked to you at Flite Fest West. I watched you fly that DRAK a few times and it was very impressive. I'm really interested in FPV wing racing and its just a matter of time before I get an FPV setup and start flying FPV. I live in a rural area and I have plenty of room to fly (and I do) but it seems there aren't too many FPV wing pilots around here. It's like having you're own baseball field but nobody around to play ball. It seems there are plenty of drone guys though. If your ever up in my neck of the woods, near Paso Robles, CA, I've got a good place to fly. I like that DRAK.

I would love to fly Paso Robles!!!! You will love FPV- don't be to worried about going far in the beginning, just get comfortable with flying around...

Seems like a great plane. Could you recommend a plane for my first one. Things to take in consideration. I fly 5-6" quads. Acro and race. See my channel. So I have all the gear for the quads. Batteries motors etc. Wondering if there is a great crossover plane for me. One that I would not get bored with quick, I guess you could say one that I can grow with. Also maybe small enough or can be taken apart to fit in a small car. Thanks a bunch.

Look into the S800 Sky Shadow, It uses quad motors and fpv parts. Just get the CG spot on and limit the throws of the elevons and its an easy flyer. I recommend if this is your first wing to laminate the entire plane- this will help the durability for a beginner pilot. Have someone experienced maiden it to trim it out. Check out my channel for some info and product links- it will help out my channel.

It's a really nice kit. I've got mine and all the components, I just need to build it out now. And then learn how to fly it ;-)

Hey Chile! Have you flown fixed wing before? Hopefully so. It's an amazing robust sporty platform!

I would kill to have a drak but I don't have the time, knowledge, or money for it... Guess I'll stick with my FT scratch builds for now.

FT scratch built planes are so cool, and outperforms most of ARFs available. If you want to invest in something really special, you should consider something in the Hardcore series or one of the Draks. They are amazing flyers.

Does this stay as 3 separate pieces (2 wing pieces and fuselage) for transport?

+Cincinnati FPV it easily breaks down- takes about 30 seconds- sorry I didn’t respond before- was away for the weekend
