    Great looking clock. I love it. I did not notice the music, so I guess that it was a great choice as far as I'm concerned. Thanks for the video.

    Music was great and the clock looked great! Using an old cable spool as the clock face would look cool too.

      +Duncan McLeish that would look cool! There's an electrical supply place I pass every other day and they've got their old empty spools out back. I keep wanting to stop and ask about them

    Well done video. Complete explanation without lots of words and time not related to the actual project. Good background music that does not distract. Thanks for the useful information.

    Please make another giant clock making video using a different type of wood... Your style of presentation is totally superb and im starting a business making giant clocks like this. They are a hit here in Africa where im watching you from. Thanx a lot man 👍🏾👍🏾

    Another way to locate the numerals is to temporarily install the movement and hands. Then just crank the minute hand around and when its at 12, the hour hand will be pointing to the correct location for the number.

      Great tip, Bob. Tom Howbridge suggested that too. Definitely seems like the simplest way to do it! If I had only thought if that when I was making the clock...

    Thanks for the instructions on making a clock. A 36 inch clock will be ideal. I know I'll have to watch this video several times to catch all the steps but this is going to be fun and will definitely make a very personalized gift.

    Yes, a 2x2 for the back would have been wiser. Plus you could probably design it into a french cleat for hanging the clock as well.
    Again, well done.

    I like the clock and loved your rough and ready approach - it made the project seem much more achievable than watching somebody using lots of fancy kit! I'd prefer no music on these 'How to' videos and don't understand why everybody seems to have it. This music was ok but it was a bit loud.

    • @wmwalkerco
      @wmwalkerco  4 роки тому +1

      Thank you for your feedback. I've since learned the art of sound design and have toned down the music. Music can tend to draw a viewer to watch longer. Think of it like an elevator, department store, or restaurant. To create ambiance so you spend more money. In my case it's adsense dollars.

    A other way of finding where to put the numbers is FIRST install the clock and it's hands.... make the 2 hands face the same way, BOOM there's 12! Now just turn your minute hand and every time it hits the 12 put a mark and there's ALL your numbers, EXACTLY..... again...BOOM

      Great! I'm not sure if it will be easier to paint the numbers or not but I think it would look good either way. One tip some viewers commented: To mark the placement for your numbers, start the minute and hour hand at 12:00 then move the minute hand around one full turn, mark each hour until you get back to 12:00. Seems really simple now, I wish I had thought of that when making my clock.
