Great looking clock. I love it. I did not notice the music, so I guess that it was a great choice as far as I'm concerned. Thanks for the video.
Thank you. This is exactly what I want to make, have no router or table saw, just like you. Thank you! 🙏 🙂
Music was great and the clock looked great! Using an old cable spool as the clock face would look cool too.
+Duncan McLeish that would look cool! There's an electrical supply place I pass every other day and they've got their old empty spools out back. I keep wanting to stop and ask about them
Well done video. Complete explanation without lots of words and time not related to the actual project. Good background music that does not distract. Thanks for the useful information.
Glad you found it useful!
Please make another giant clock making video using a different type of wood... Your style of presentation is totally superb and im starting a business making giant clocks like this. They are a hit here in Africa where im watching you from. Thanx a lot man 👍🏾👍🏾
Another way to locate the numerals is to temporarily install the movement and hands. Then just crank the minute hand around and when its at 12, the hour hand will be pointing to the correct location for the number.
Great tip, Bob. Tom Howbridge suggested that too. Definitely seems like the simplest way to do it! If I had only thought if that when I was making the clock...
Thanks for the instructions on making a clock. A 36 inch clock will be ideal. I know I'll have to watch this video several times to catch all the steps but this is going to be fun and will definitely make a very personalized gift.
Your demo was really easy to follow. For someone who does not have access to sophisticated machinery, I think it is within my capability! Thanks
That was one of my goals for this project. To keep the need for expensive tools to a minimum. Good luck and I'd love to see your finished product!
Loving the clock William! Everyone loves a good pallet wood project!
Looks great, working on a wall clock from a old elm log disk . Love this kind of stuff ,stay safe .
Admittedly, I was skeptical when I saw that you were using pallet wood but I was pleasantly surprised. The clock looks fantastic!
Thanks for taking the "TIME" teaching me something I've been wanting to do 😀
That is an amazing clock. Pallet wood makes beautiful projects.. thanks for sharing
hi Will! What a great project! Someone gave me a 36" round oak tabletop. It's quite weathered.... and thanks to your video, it will soon become a fabulous distressed clock! Thanks!
LOVE THIS!!!! Keep making videos. I will be making a clock now after watching your thorough video! Thanks
Great video/tuition. You moved it along at just the right speed and explained it all in a simple way. I wanted to make a clock, and its given me the confidence to have a go thanks. Oh and the music's good! Pinned it too!
Very cool.........you have gained my subscription.
Yes, a 2x2 for the back would have been wiser. Plus you could probably design it into a french cleat for hanging the clock as well.
Again, well done.
ah yes! a french cleat would have been pretty clever.
Thanks for the great idea and great video! My wife and I just hung up our interpretation of your clock. Thanks again!!
That's awesome! I'd love to see a picture.
Great video! Thanks for sharing!
cool...love the patina and weathered look...
Great video. Thanks for sharing.
That's pretty dope I like it
Excellent Job, project and video !
+Saw Dust Thank you! Great user name by the way.
Thank you for all of the great detail provided in the video. Also by sharing exactly what your tools / products are you make it easier to make one ourselves
I like the clock and loved your rough and ready approach - it made the project seem much more achievable than watching somebody using lots of fancy kit! I'd prefer no music on these 'How to' videos and don't understand why everybody seems to have it. This music was ok but it was a bit loud.
Thank you for your feedback. I've since learned the art of sound design and have toned down the music. Music can tend to draw a viewer to watch longer. Think of it like an elevator, department store, or restaurant. To create ambiance so you spend more money. In my case it's adsense dollars.
New sub here. Awesome build. Love to see projects that a relatively new woodworker can actually accomplish. Nice video work too.
Thank you for sharing! Beautiful!!!
Loved the clock and your instructions were awesome...I cannot wait to start making one
Thanks! I'd love to see yours when you're done!
Great project Bill, it would look great also done in a paint wash for hanging on a darker background.
I like how you mention alternative tools.
There's always more than one way to do something so I try to offer alternative methods for those that might not have a certain tool that I choose to use. Thanks for watching!

Very cool! Thanks!
Love the clock! Thanks so much!
Great job Sr. !!!
+RC C thank you!
I wanted to thank you for your diy oversized wall clock video, looks easy I'm gonna add my own artistic qualities to it and make one for my house. Wish me luck, I've never used electric tools before, you video makes it look easy.
+Margie Rice Best of luck! Thanks for watching!
Love the clock, looks good, and a nice build.
+Albert Ondic Thank you much. My wife loves it too.
Awesome rustic wall clock!
Looks awesome and is a huge help. I am just about to make a 48" one for a friend and was looking for a large enough movement to use so thanks for that. Also was worried about how to get it to fit in the back since I am using 1x4's. Great work and super helpful. And music wasn't bad either!!!!!
Absolutely amazing project! I personally love the rustic look, so i shall be making this for my next project!
+William Hall I'd love to see your take on it!
Great job! Only thing I'd have done is make the centre timber central, may have given you odd end pieces though.
+James Stimpson that would have been a nice design change. Thanks for watching!
Your video was so soothing and very informative, learn a lot. I will be making one real soon
Great, good looking project. Like the stenciled numbers.
Thank you very much!
nice job dude.........................
Love the video and the music! I am about to start on my 36: clock and you've given me some confidence. Thanks for the great vid! P.S. LOVE the 'pro tip!'
Loved the look.
That looks great! Nice job
I'm glad you like it!
That is giant! Well done William!
+Make Something Thank you, David!
Nice
I've found great e-book on wood prix. Good solutions for everyone I think.
Awesome solution Verla!
Really good plans
@@gregrandol2801 I love that
Great Clock. My daughter has gone all Magnolia, and she -clearly- needs a giant clock for her wall.
Love it!
I've been wanting to get 3 big wall clocks , one for each of my kids marking the times they were born.
Thing is they are very expensive. I could make all 3 for the price of one.
Thanks for this video. It was awesome. Gonna so hunt for some pallet wood ;-)
Such a cool idea! I've got an abundance of people trying to give me pallets but I also see them on Craigslist all the time (free)
AWESOME, I have been make 20" clocks. I learned tips from you. THANKS!
+SAA 77 great! Glad I could help
Beautiful job!
Great video. Like the clock and your channel.
Thanks Clester!
Always so well produced!
Excellent work👍
+Asgarali Tanveer ali Haidery Thank you!
What a great idea.... I've got to give this a try.... thanks for the inspiration...
I'd love to see what you came up with. If you make one post it to your social media of choice and tag me :)
Nice video, easy to understand. I will check out your other projects. I really like the clock, gotta have one! Thanks!
You should make one! Really quick project.
Nice clock! When determining number placement, you may have found it less stressful to measure the circumference and divide this by 11 to get the spacing between numbers.
Nice job
Simply beautiful
Excellent pro tip.
Good!♡ so beautiful!
awesome job!!!!
Thank you!
Looks great!! Nice job
This helped me..I plan on making a 11" square one. I did not know how to carve out the back for the little box. I am gonna try..need a router, might borrow one. THANKS
Glad I could help!
I'm making a clock with 5 ft and half spool! Any suggestions before I get to that? The middle hole is 3 1/2inches wide. How to hide it and where to buy large enough hands...
Very nice.
FIND A BIG PAPER AND FOLD IT IN 3 TO GET 30 degrees protractor... actually an A3 and some straight edges would be okay.
Nice,cool,creative.....what about adding stains to the wood ...wouldn't is look more catchy...but I did loved ur work...
Thanks Ali. You could definitely add stain to the wood. I'm not big on staining but that's more of an aesthetic choice. Our house has a lot of neutrals and grays so I liked the faded weathered wood look for our wall. Thanks for watching!
Love it
Awesome work 👍
very nice man , I like it
I feel like a jerk now, but the new music is much better. The clock looked good and your video production is on point.
+z dubs hahahaha don't feel like a jerk! I honestly got a great laugh from your comment before. And hey, it inspired change right? I'm not too proud to hear constructive criticism and implement new thoughts. Worst thing that would've happened is other people saying they didn't like the new music. Thanks for watching!
Very nice project William! And the video is really well done too :)
Awesome work. I liked the music and editing also.
Thanks Geoff!
Nice job!
cool stuff bro
nice job, came out great. awesome (clock) hands.
+Miter Mike's Woodshop hahaha you don't think I could be a hand model?
A other way of finding where to put the numbers is FIRST install the clock and it's hands.... make the 2 hands face the same way, BOOM there's 12! Now just turn your minute hand and every time it hits the 12 put a mark and there's ALL your numbers, EXACTLY..... again...BOOM
Great video, love the music😊👍
I want to make an absolute ENORMOUS wall clock!
Your so welcome I'm a fan now !
loved it and loved the music. OK to use clock outdoors? one would look good on our garden wall. happy new year from Eastbourne UK
+Barry Parks I just checked the specs on that particular clock movement. It unfortunately can't be used outside. The pallet wood and solid stain would be fine, just not the mechanics. You might be able to replace the movement with one that could be used outside. Thanks for watching!
Excellent !!!!
nice and easy. Well done
Sweet .
very nice!!
Thanks!
You rock man! Nice vid. Thanks for sharing
Thanks so much for watching!
Love it, great info thanks
awesome! You're most welcome!
u got a new subscriber .. great job ..
+deniz sönmez Thanks so much!
Nice!
Great ! Another way to mark out the other numbers would be to try it out time it for the numbers !
that's a brilliant idea! great tip!
So nice i like
That's tight!
+Christopher Cutforth thanks!
love it, it is just what i am about to do, I will have the pallet wood the other way though if that makes sense? easier to paint the numbers? Just a thought ... thank you :)
Great! I'm not sure if it will be easier to paint the numbers or not but I think it would look good either way. One tip some viewers commented: To mark the placement for your numbers, start the minute and hour hand at 12:00 then move the minute hand around one full turn, mark each hour until you get back to 12:00. Seems really simple now, I wish I had thought of that when making my clock.
fab tip thank you, made the clock base repeatedly watching your vid :) just cant wait to get the hands on but no time yet ;( I am gonna print a pic of clock face and mark out from that?
Would love it with a white wash of colour
love this video! perfect tutorial! i happen to have the same stencils, would the number size look good if i were to do a 24in clock instead? Thank you!
Love the background music buddy! What song is that? And nice clock bro.
I like Roman Numerals better but I love the pallet idea.
I looked back through the questions and answers others have asked but didn't see where anyone had asked you this question. Can you please tell me how far you came up from the bottom to put the support strip? Thanks
