Hi Henry Your video inspired to me to built an rc “seagull engine” , ill put the lunk to your videos in my description. Have a nice day! DIY RC outboard motor with wpl d12 axle - seagull engine like
me and my mate had one of these, we got all the sand out of it and got it running and went fishing in the hauraki harbour for 1 year, we caught so much snapper
Quite a nice video of your Seagull, working steady even at low revs. Even your faithful dog is sweet. I have a similar Seagull which I used till 2012, still well kept but with my backache it's difficult for me to keep going on a boat. This video link leads you to my last trip with my cousin. Shot in Malta. Take care of your Seagull and the dog! ua-cam.com/video/IZonVHRn0U8/v-deo.html
I’m just restoring my 102 and can’t wait to it out, thanks for sharing 👍

Gotta love the ole Seagull outboard, but the dog wins the prize :)
Thanks, the dog Coco loves boating aswell.
If you grew up with Villiers 7, 8 and 9E motorcycle engines then the Seagull was right up your street.
I thought my old 60 yami was a beat until I seen this thing.
what was the cooling water outlet pipe???
A Seagull can be forced to run on white spirit and cooking oil ( I discovered this the hard way...)

Ours sank to the bottom three times. It worked fine after.
They are pretty reliable!
Looks like you have left the choke on
Stuart Sinclair Black platebon the carburator is up, so the choke is not on
I bet it used hardly any fuel.
1-2 litres / hour
Oooh! Risky!! Clamps not fully gripping the transom, no lanyard....
How fast it is mate?
I dont have this motor anymore, but if i remember correctly cruising speed was about 5 knots
@@galax650 looks like going faster than my BF5 mate be honest.
