God I love the 757. I have flown on the 757 more than another airframe (737, 767, a319, a321, a350 &md 88) combined. I will genuinely miss the 757 in a few years.
I came to take a look here because I'm flying out to SFO tomorrow and the flight I'm on has this particular First class seating. I've flown in a number of times before, but this will be my first Transcontinental fligh to CA since 2019 and Covid. I've had usually good service in Business First. Doesnt' surprise me a passenger who slept through the meal service was offered their meal when they woke up.
Those gates in the corners of concourse C3 are a mess: squeezed in on top of each other. But otherwise a nice modern concourse at an otherwise 1970's airport.
United Polaris is only available on International flights in their 767s, 777s, 787s. Check on The Points Guy website. Hopefully you can review one in the future.
oh for the pillow, since my grandma was a long working united member, she told me that you have to ask for the premium polaris pillow by the flight attendants because many people where just taking them and bringing it with them, and some did not, just a tip for future United business or first trips :)
I flew an identically configured United 757 two years ago LAX-OGG. We did get pillows and blankets in first class. I suspect that your flight was an odd one off, since that is (or was) supposed to be standard in United's first class. The food is okay, nothing to write home about, but okay. I feel that for the money, they could improve the little amenities and really make United first a better value. The domestic cost isn't that far above premium economy with all of the little extras that you can purchase in that fare class depending upon booking time and routing, so just a little bit of an upgrade here and there could really make United first a tremendous experience for the money.
Very cool....I like the 757-200s. I like the First Class section and then in Economy...I use to work that aircraft a lot.. I am a former Purser Flight Attendant from United Airlines...Well, you fly safe always...
Foreign airlines' international first & business class on the other hand... have top-tier fancy restaurant quality, and sometimes from famous celebrity cooks. This is in foreign airlines & good airlines based in america. sad how mainstream u.s. airlines have got crappier, even in first class
Just curious what you used to shoot the video? The clarity is amazing. The wing view was among the best and hearing those RR engines spooling was amazing. Great video!
This was kinda helpful becuase e and my younger brother are going out of the country to meet family alone over the summer and we're gonna fly first class and im so nervous cuz its our first time flying and im only 14😭
EWR is an amazing beautiful airport. But I rather fly Delta's 757 transcontinental plane. It's nicer of jfk. I wish I was able to partner with you I'm flying Avianca next week to Honduras off from JFK. Either way nice video bud keep it up.
Infinite flight Aviatior I wish it was as nice as your comment makes it sound. However airside/concourse C3 which this flight departed from is quite modern, in contrast to the 1970’s look of the rest of the place. I have hope that enough extensive renovations can bring it a bright future.
United fly the B757 with the 16 first class seats from Edinburgh to Newark transatlantic, but I flew it with Continental in 2008 and it was ok, American Airlines fly their B757 from Edinburgh with no AVOD to Jfk, which was poor for this route, but they are changing To Edinburgh to Philadelphia.
WOW cool this is one of the best airplane videos I've ever seen the way you got a shot of the airport what it has the plane and the first class area and what accommodations it has amazing I'm subscribing to you right now
That plane looked pretty nice except for the fuel problem prior to departure. :) I once flew round trip on a British Airways Boeing 757 from London Heathrow to Copenhagen. Not bad and I loved that British dialect!
Why did you board through the first door and not the second door. The reason why most 757s on United board and de plane through the second door is for privacy in the Bussiness class cabin
Great video. Thanks for filming and sharing. I have chronic back pain issues & have been hesitant to fly for many many years bc of it. I was curious how the seats were in first class- if they reclined fully etc and your video showed me they do... so I’m realizing if I can swing first class my back could probably handle the flight with the reclining feature and comfort level your vid revealed. Good to know. I live in CA and want to go to Denver. That engine did sound smooth 👍🏼
Yes, in terms of United's fleet, if you want full flat beds, then shoot for any 777, 767, 787, and the 757-200. As those feature flat beds in first class.
Not surprised it would not be packed on Thanksgiving Day. It’s the two days before and the weekend after which are the busiest travel days. Sunday after is busiest and Wednesday before is second busiest. By the way, that was a weird thing that happened with overfilling the fuel on the tarmac. Cabin looks fairly nice for an old airplane.
Thanks for review. Just booked what is expected to be the same 757-200 model plane traveling from Newark to San Diego flight on Christmas Eve 2019. Will be flying in economy plus. Let you know what happens.
Good video. I have never flown up front on one and never the ex-Continental 757-200. I had no complaints. I believe that the reason for getting rid of the screens is that few used them, at least in the back and I bet the equipment over-all adds a lot of weight. Just a guess.
i have noticed whenever i am on a Boeing 757. I wonder what they classify as heavy turbulence. Because, they will ask the flight attendants to be seated when it feels like just a couple bumps that feels like a ERJ turbulence and ERJ's can get rough. 757 Turblence feels like a couple of little shakes, and yet they ask the crew to be seated for that.
This is NOT the upgraded Polaris Business Class you’ll find on international, overseas flights. The 757 is an older aircraft that ought to be put out to pasture....
Mulberry John If you are a standby flyer. You hope the plane doesn’t have Polaris since it takes up more room meaning less of a chance to get a first class seat.
I just flew "Polaris Business" London to DC on a 757-200. Same plane. Same seats. I did get the Saks bedding. Biggest issue is you either sit at the window and have to wake your neighbor to get up, or you sit at the aisle and get woken. The 777 I flew in the other direction was a much better choice.
So I’m super afraid of flying but I recently moved from NJ to Vegas so the only realistic option for me to get to go home to visit my parents and friends is to fly. Would you suggest I spend the extra on a seat like this to make me feel as comfortable as possible with as many inflight things to do as possible for the flights to NJ and back? Also any tips to help with my fear?
Yes, I like the Rolls Royce engines...THE GEs are what I like for the 777s...And yes, I do miss the Rolls Royce on the 747-400s with the winglets on that aircraft...Very nice....
I know a dude who won $250k then invested half and made big gains and travels a lot. Some people get lucky, some work hard af and rise up and go on several business trips per year. A friend of mine goes to Europe 6x per year on business. Some save and find really great deals and can get discounts somehow. Look up Noel Philips, that guy finds all the deals and discounts.
Its a great seat for a narrow body. Too bad United uses this on wide bodies too. How is United with their pre-departure beverage consistency?? 8:25 was probably my favorite part lol #Avgeek 12:39 was an awesome view!! The breakfast looked pretty good. The approach and landing was really cool. I'm an AA flyer but recently flew Delta and was really impressed. It just that Skymiles is no match for AAdvantage. Great review.
I was on a united airlines flight from Porto to Newark on a 757 200 in first class of a view of the engine we had a bird strike so we had to come back to the airport and it was on the side I was the engine was on fire and it was banging
No pellows for first class? I was on the same plane type, when Continental just installed the business class seats for my EWR-Lima flight, the plight attendants had their first flight with the new seats. It is very cramped in J, much better would be a wide body!
I wanted to ask you .. what do you do for a living? And do you use credit cards miles to fly a lot? If you don't mind answering those questions. You have the lifestyle I would like to have one day!
757 first class is pretty similar to first class 767 same seats in first class the rows of seats were 2 on the left 2 on the right and one in the middle and they gave me pillows.
I highly recommend you to try a International route on these B757. I took from Lima to Newark and I was provided of two kinds of pillow, including a gel one. Two blankets, amenity kit, the flight just was awesome. Nice trip report, Im looking foward to try a national flight on 757, also think is a mistake to replace them with 737.
Did you realize how close you were to the flock of birds (geese?) at 12:20? That could have been disastrous (not that there's anything you could have done about it).
The EWR and NYC port food options represent the two Australian doods who started it. They did a really good job of it!
8:10 that is one of the best startups I’ve ever heard/seen! WOW!
I don’t care how many times it still amazes me
Lol I wouldve been freaking out about the announcement
.like take me off this leaky ass plane
I love the 757-200s a lot...And yes San Diego is really nice.. I have family and friends there..
I love this plane. United pilots are excellent, but the cabin crew has been really inconsistent in my experience - ranging from great to grating.
God I love the 757. I have flown on the 757 more than another airframe (737, 767, a319, a321, a350 &md 88) combined.
I will genuinely miss the 757 in a few years.
12:20 OMG those birds!
That what I was saying! Thank God they were a couple feet away from the plane!
OMG
Oh my god these 🗿🗿
And it was New York too!
These Canadian birds. Damn you, Canada! Don’t do that again!
That sunrise in the terminal 😯
QFS Aviation I stayed there for almost 5 minutes waiting for a plane to pass to get the “perfect shot” but I gave up...
Those gates in the corners of concourse C3 are a mess: squeezed in on top of each other. But otherwise a nice modern concourse at an otherwise 1970's airport.
Have flown on UA757, was even upgraded to business since it was full in economy and I held Thai Airways silver status at that time. Great aircraft.
Your intro music sounds like a Dipset beat from the mid 2000s
frrrrrr
Great video as always! Enjoyed this video! Seems like EWR is improving!
The RB211-535E4 powered 757 on UA was delivered in late 1990s until the early 2000s
Continental originally I think
Me gusta mucho tu trabajo brother! Sigue así
Fantastic trip report. I love the smoky start up
United Polaris is only available on International flights in their 767s, 777s, 787s. Check on The Points Guy website. Hopefully you can review one in the future.
I have been in an American 757-200 from Dallas-Boston.
good video . Newark NJ the best airport. i love newark nj
oh for the pillow, since my grandma was a long working united member, she told me that you have to ask for the premium polaris pillow by the flight attendants because many people where just taking them and bringing it with them, and some did not, just a tip for future United business or first trips :)
I flew a 757 on one of United's longer 757 routes from Denver to Lihue!
I flew an identically configured United 757 two years ago LAX-OGG. We did get pillows and blankets in first class. I suspect that your flight was an odd one off, since that is (or was) supposed to be standard in United's first class. The food is okay, nothing to write home about, but okay. I have flown on UA‘s 757 from Lima to Newark. 7h flight and I enjoyed the 757. The cabins aren‘t old (seats etc...) so I can‘t complain
Very cool....I like the 757-200s. I like the First Class section and then in Economy...I use to work that aircraft a lot.. I am a former Purser Flight Attendant from United Airlines...Well, you fly safe always...
Thanks for posting, will definitely miss the 757!
Man, I miss the approach into Newark and takeoff out of Newark. The only thing that I miss about moving from NY is that approach and takeoff
That meal would be low level coach in the 1980's.
George B Unfortunately yes.. Sad what flying has become..
That breakfast looked great
I really love the airplane I like you think a comfy blanket and a pillow would have been nice, otherwise the service looked perfect nice flight!
Good food on a United flight? I'm impressed!
This was kinda helpful becuase e and my younger brother are going out of the country to meet family
alone over the summer and we're gonna fly first class and im so nervous
cuz its our first time flying and im only 14😭
My first time flying was when I was 6 weeks old
my dad loved ths plane it was his first with a glass cockpit
Love the 757, so sad to see it being retired
Any reviews and tips on this 757-200 baby. Flying on this exact Newark to San Diego trip on Christmas Eve 2019?
Very nice report
Great video.. I always try and book on the 757... not particularly a fan of flying on the newer 737s
I flew on their 757 2 years ago to Houston it wasn't bad my third time flying on a 757 flew on one with eastern and delta previous to my last trip
We, our country, in the Presidential Fleet has a couple of 757s for the Secretary of State Post...The 757s are so cool...Fly safe always...
EWR is an amazing beautiful airport. But I rather fly Delta's 757 transcontinental plane. It's nicer of jfk. I wish I was able to partner with you I'm flying Avianca next week to Honduras off from JFK. Either way nice video bud keep it up.

Yo, EWR is some hot garbaje! The airport was built with nobody's piece of mind!
How could you call Newark, "beautiful"?
You belong out in Joizey with all the goombas
United fly the B757 with the 16 first class seats from Edinburgh to Newark transatlantic, but I flew it with Continental in 2008 and it was ok, American Airlines fly their B757 from Edinburgh with no AVOD to Jfk, which was poor for this route, but they are changing To Edinburgh to Philadelphia.
Good video, the flight looked nice however I agree a pillow and a nice blanket for First Class would have been greatly aporeciated I think!
I flew a United 752 in seat 3A, the flat bed was nice, but it was just a flight from Newark to Florida, so having no amenities was expected
WOW cool this is one of the best airplane videos I've ever seen the way you got a shot of the airport what it has the plane and the first class area and what accommodations it has amazing I'm subscribing to you right now
Lucky you guys didn’t digest those birds on the initial climb out!
That plane looked pretty nice except for the fuel problem prior to departure. :) I once flew round trip on a British Airways Boeing 757 from London Heathrow to Copenhagen. Not bad and I loved that British dialect!
*Great video - thanks! Might I ask, what type of cam did (do) you use? The picture quality in HD is outstanding* !
Why did you board through the first door and not the second door. The reason why most 757s on United board and de plane through the second door is for privacy in the Bussiness class cabin

12:19 Bird Strike so close
Flock 😢
Thanks for review. Just booked what is expected to be the same 757-200 model plane traveling from Newark to San Diego flight on Christmas Eve 2019. Will be flying in economy plus. Let you know what happens.
It’s been a year… what happened 😂

I am disabled and am trying to learn about the lay down seat. This video is 18:38 minutes long and about 2-3 minutes of helpful information. Wow!
We may see another 757 type aircraft by Boeing in 2020. They finally figured out it was a mistake to stop building them.
steve s the new 757 plane will be like a mix of a 787 with 757 and they will call it the 797
Love this shot 19:02
i was in the same plane and i had first class i loved it
Flew a UA 753 LAX-BOS, great flight
Amazing review man! What camera do you use? about to start the trip reports again and Im in the market for a better camera
This is NOT the upgraded Polaris Business Class you’ll find on international, overseas flights. The 757 is an older aircraft that ought to be put out to pasture....

Newark out in Joizey??
Are you MAD????
LaGuardia and Idlewild are right here!!!!
Great video!!

I am curious how do you afford to fly this much? Especially First Class. Share your secret i want to do it too.
6:36 PLANE LEAKING FUEL .. I WOULD HAVE GOT OFF RIGHT THERE...
Great Video, United’s 757 in Economy is horrible.
Delta airlines 757 economy is pleasant...(for coach).
Not impressed at all with United First Class from this video, this airline needs to step up their game.
Julian Gutierrez ikr
this is the same runway that ual93 takeoff?
Hey how do you get to travel to all these places. I watch your videos and i want to do this too.
Another Great video love the International United B757 Business Class comes in a bit to Dublin from IAD 😃
very sharpness images
Its a great seat for a narrow body. Too bad United uses this on wide bodies too.

I'm an AA flyer but recently flew Delta and was really impressed. It just that Skymiles is no match for AAdvantage. Great review.
Love the video, but got dizzy from all the cuts lol
I was on a united airlines flight from Porto to Newark on a 757 200 in first class of a view of the engine we had a bird strike so we had to come back to the airport and it was on the side I was the engine was on fire and it was banging
Do you have any reviews on any of the flight to and from Hawaii? American, Hawaiian, United?
One of my favorite airplanes.
Are you going on the 787-10 inaugural flight on jan 7th, LAX-EWR?
landing was smooooooooooth!
Fantastic Review !
Great video
Did you ask how the system appeared to be ‘tracking’ your flight from Frankfurt to IAD?
No pellows for first class? I was on the same plane type, when Continental just installed the business class seats for my EWR-Lima flight, the plight attendants had their first flight with the new seats. It is very cramped in J, much better would be a wide body!
Emirates first class on the a380 makes United first class look like an outhouse.
Looked like a great flight to me.
Did the captain say 'severe' turbulence?
I wanted to ask you .. what do you do for a living? And do you use credit cards miles to fly a lot? If you don't mind answering those questions. You have the lifestyle I would like to have one day!
7:10, I see you!
Engines sound like glory
All hail
Awesome video ,but you should also come to Europe, there are so many airlines to try here.
The plane spotter BG; Have you seen the Emirates Air spots on UA-cam? Wowowow!
Wait, they updated the software on the 757-200 IFEs?
757 first class is pretty similar to first class 767 same seats in first class the rows of seats were 2 on the left 2 on the right and one in the middle and they gave me pillows.

Actually a few weeks ago while departing IST, our aircraft had to dive to avoid birds by mere inches... now that was scary
we are waiting for the upcoming 757Plus the new generation and 767x as well
I love ur videos but I have a question. Around 5:43 u talk about L2. What is that?
Super 789 L2 is the second door on the left side of a 757
Joaquin Wells ok. Thanks
Super 789 no problem
Wow!
20:45 American Airlines US Airways heritage Livery
Lol that pilot loves hearing himself talk.
@ 3:29 C137.... Rick and mortys earth dimension. Rick C137 makes an appearance lol.
