- Decided to try out a Puma folding knife. They are an old German company with a decent reputation... some of their knives are still made in Germany, others in Asia using their steel.
Let's open it up together and see if its a keeper?

Good video, nice knife. They're not pocket knives, they're pouch knives. 😊
Well, I always carry knives in my pocket, so that's usually my criteria for whether it works for me or not. The only real place to put a belt pouch, is where I already have a gun holster...
@@SquireSCA carrying that in your pocket might give false impressions. 😁🤪😏
Or.... DOES it? haha
Kershaw, black horse might be the knife you were talking about in the beginning of the video.
Yeah, it was in the late 1980's, so I honestly can't recall, other than when I look at a modern Gerber Gator, it looked a lot like that, except the black handle scales were more flat sided...
Yup, just looked it up and that was the one!
Puma, RAWR! 😀
Did you ever take an exact weight of the whitetail?
Skinny frail looking next to the ranger. Wiggle leads to pieces over time. Real stag or their plastic version? Not critical but...
Oh yeah, the ranger is a way beefier and more substantial knife... But it does feel a bit like a boat anchor in your pocket.
I like both but the ranger is meant to be a belt knife.😒
I think Puma SGB are made in Spain. Puma Tec are made in China.
Web sight reads Asia
