- Hey everyone! If you haven't heard of dafont.com it is an amazing website with tons of beautiful and fun fonts that are free to download for personal use into your cricut design space. I'm sharing this quick tutorial on how to use dafont, download a font, unzip a file, and install the font onto your computer and into your cricut design space. Thank you for sharing! I am borrowing someone's cricut for a project and this tutorial was so easy to follow.! I am using a Mac, so the commands are a little different. After the download, two files were in the download folder, the zip, and a folder containing two files. Go to the folder > right-click on the ttf file > select "open with"> choose "Font Book" (it was the only option for me) Once Font Book opens, there will be an option to install the font > click install. I closed out Cricut Space and reopened. The font was there :) Thank you again for the tutorial!

It took me about an hour to figure out why my downloaded fonts were not working with this app but i finally figured it out and im very very very happy with the results. I can now use fancy fonts without running the risk of messing anything up or getting so frustrated to the point that i abandon the project/ font. Thank you so much for this full tutorial and the step by step! I even took notes for every step I need. Look forward to more tutorials and the future as I am brand new to this. Thank you so much!!!!

Thank you a million times over. I own several cricuts ,as I keep purchasing hoping that the next one will be easy,LOL. I use the 2nd one with cartridges. You have managed to do in 5 min what others spent days trying to do . ( Teach me to use a cricut)After MANY years of tutorials , I can download fonts, attach lettering etc. Thank you for taking your time and using language the average crucut beginner can anderstanding.

Hi, just watched your video, thanks, it was really helpful, but I have a couple of questions. 1st. Once you extract the font and go to folder to download them which one do you download if it has an A by more than one, I think it said True Type Outlines and True Type Font, would you download both of them? 2nd. After you download them, do you delete out the zip file? As you probably can tell I'm not used to doing this. LOL That's the reason I appreciate you. Thanks Deloma

Unloading the fonts is one thing but getting them to showing cricut is another🤷🏻♀️
Victoria Arcturus once you download and install the font you need to close down the Cricut application and open it back up. I would give that a try if you haven’t yet. Hopefully that works! :)

Helpful tip: After ungrouping the letters, you can use your arrows on the keyboard to help connect the letters instead of using the mouse! Much more efficient.
Thank you. Thank you so much for this tutorial. I waited until I turned 50 to develop a love for crafting and I'm loving it so. Therefore, I'm learning all there is to know for what I'm doing (mainly the glitter glasses, etc). However, I downloaded some fonts but it is not showing up in my design space...ugh!. And I'm clicking refresh over and over also. What else can I do or what is going wrong?
