The Clockers are really turning into some sort of a mafia family. The way Scar and Cleo were threatening Bdubs was kinda intimidating. Let the fanart artist rise Also the cold dead silence from Cleo after Etho killed the kids LMAO
The degree of miscommunications in this series, at least thematically and for dramatic effect, is amazing. Especially this session. I'll keep it general to avoid spoiling anything but... Well, it's a super thematic way to move from Yellow and go into Red Time. I would not be surprised to see some of the animators making a tragedy of miscommunications out of it after this. And I'd love to be the fly on the wall after the series is over if and when you all go over each others' videos afterwards and see what was up with what. Absolute Kudos to you all. The things that can just come together in improv~
I don't know for sure obviously, but I have a little theory. I think that the fact that pretty much all teams go around causing mischief and miscommunications is a deliberate collective choice. Most importantly, to create entertainment. But secondly it means the slight amount of drama is spread around fairly evenly and one team isn't always villified. The viewers can see good and bad in every team, which kind of defuses the viewers as they can't as easily pick one side and stick with it. It's actually fairly tricky to cause drama without viewers getting way too caught up in it; I've seen it really bad in other gaming communities.
Yeah, I imagine its somewhat _fuzzier_ than that (everything is a bit fuzzy in improvisational games and play, IME) but everything I've heard about at the creator community here, at least on the Hermitcraft side of things, is that they've gotten _really_ good at internal communication over the years. Which is surprisingly important for Mafia/Among Us style games where ignorance and limited information in the moment of play is the entire Thing that defines it. The Boogieman and the fact that people don't act like they've been sharing details outside of play seems to put the Life series into that category, methinks. Even with ye olde forum mafia the game is so intense and takes so many weeks that you need a degree of --- aftercare, I suppose would be? --- to ensure hard feelings and such are hashed out, just to avoid burning out on the concept. I'd imagine that would probably be only more important when it comes to the likes of the Life series. Hence my Kudos: It's fun to watch in the moment, but impressive when I think about everything that has to be going on to make it both as genuine as it is and also avoid all the pitfalls that could happen.
That's actually a smart move from Cleo and Scar. In order for Bdubs to keep away from Ties, they didn't just made an alliance with the bad boys, but made them part of the family that means Bdubs can't hurt them and will be forced to go against the Ties
