That second half was insane but definitely a shame that it overshadowed the task so hard because it was really funny, if only it had been part of a different week :(
i really don't like this task, it just entirely kills the pacing and everything else that was going on in this series. i was enjoying it more when it wasnt a free-for-all
I think that's exactly what it is. Every life series has been under 10 sessions and intentionally meant to be that way- all the creators have other commitments too and I imagine they also want to finish this before the holidays. I think the removal of the boogeyman, having 30 hearts and a way to get them back (secret keeper/gift), slowed down the series more considerably than they thought it would.@barrybto
@@bunshineThis session was literally the opposite of a free-for-all, it was a team based fight. Every other session has been to each their own, which is the definition of free-for-all. I think your criticism about the pacing is unwarranted. Having a big event that breaks the pre-established alliances was smart. The narrative needs to get bloodier and dangerous because that's the nature of these series. What's the point of doing more silly roleplay tasks if everyone's all geared up anyway? Now it's killing time, the rewards for completing a task barely matter anymore. Besides, after all the deaths from last session, returning to a more mundane la-dee-da day of goofy "i do my task and you do yours, tralala" would have been the REAL pacing breaker
I would've been peeved if Cleo turned red before the end of the session because she might as well have given herself up at that point, *I'm SO glad she decided her own fate this session.*
Scar, started his own business, completing his tasks on his own, not living at home Bdubs, does not have his own business, generally gets help with his tasks, living at home
This episode is so terrifying, and honestly such a good zombie movie. Starts out with regular day life, something starts seeming off until it becomes clear and the survivors rally together. Then they get picked off one by one and there's just two survivors. You even got the hiding in a place where you're sure the zombie is gonna get you but then they pass omg. This was amazing
19:00 "and eat them" Grian not beating the cannibal allegations Edit: how ironic. The only zombie is the one who didn't turn. Or actually, pretty fitting Edit 2: 58:13 this whole scene was actually terrifying. Reading the thoughts going through her head, the zombies groaning as Impulse walked around...
One of the best things about this episode is how many questions are raised by watching which means watching the other Lifer's eps to find out, like what was Scar up to before the chaos, who *was* Etho speaking to, and has Pearl finally embraced her 5am self at last?
Honestly I really home that after a few other life series, they do a second attempt ar Secret Life because this has easily been the best of the series so far for me. I often lose interest midway through but with all the tasks and the incentive of guessing them from one perspective, it's been so fun
Having seen this and Pearl's episode, the parallels are really interesting and I think will echo through the rest of the series. The moment Cleo turned from sorta amused to dead serious was when her dogs got burned, you could hear it in her voice. And yet towards the end, she burns the dogs she finds, assuming they're a stash and not knowing they're Pearl's dogs, kept intentionally out of danger, which is when you see Pearl get really mad in her episode (She does start going 5am mode at Scar earlier, but the way she declares her alliance with Cleo dead is definitely personal). Whether that dynamic remains broken or can get repaired could be the biggest storyline for the rest of the season imo, because both Cleo and Pearl are absolutely deadly when they want to be, and between Pearl's god bow and Cleo's Rambo skills, those two could make it a long way this series. And the fact that it was the same reason, without either knowing (Pearl wasn't involved in the attack where Cleo's dogs were burned cause she was getting the Warden, and Cleo didn't know those were Pearl's dogs) makes for a really, really interesting plot point.
Angel and Devil choice is perfect. Also, strange, that the task didn't have a name, because I'm absolutely sure I saw it in the comments of the previous session's videos
It's really good game sense. It's sometimes hard to remember that the person is technically out to get you despite being a completely different issue than the one currently happening.

this is sad when you think about where we started in episode 6 Grian and Etho literally murdered all but 1 of the reds, then one of the yellows get the job of murdering everyone else
@@Adir-YosefI'm sure that was intentional, the series is designed to be short and normally reds actively drag everyone else down, now its the secret keeper that trys to kill everyone. And we already know the admins give player specific tasks. (Like the ones that force them to reroll, or Etho & Grian's joint hard task) And Gem is one of the best PvP players on the server, so they probably intentionally gave her that task as the most likely to get the snowball rolling.
Etho as Cleos devil seems a lot more favorable than Skizz being her Angel. 😅 🤣11:50 Cleo is gonna milk that for all its worth. And I am here for it. Talk about heartburn. 25:25 Somehow, someway. Cleo and Etho were the last greens. That's an amusing coincidence. Man, Etho(and Grian) did so much that resulted in the perming of most of the reds. And now he get turned into a 'zombie'. Spawning mob eggs and craftable spawners are the best thing they added to the game. 49:53 The irony is funny. The latter half of this episode was so tense. Etho is the best. He willingly took the L on that zombie task to save his team mates.
The Zombie apocalypse became so central I forgot Cleos first task; had to replay the beginning to remind myself lol! So impressed ZombieCleo was one of the few to avoid infection 😂
@bjiii’s task idea: you are a vampire for 45 mins, at daytime you need blocks to shield yourself from the sun and you have to be invited into bases that aren’t your own
Whats really funny about Grian's point of view, in his video- is that he went into the nether, and got one of the worst mobs for his task, for no reason, he kept zooming past a block of netherrack in one of the chests, he never had to go through the portal.
I was missing Scott from all the action, and I was so excited when Cleo escaped up to Gem's base and I predicted it as soon as she mined through the wall It was a very cool moment, the final member remaining
Task idea (Your task is now my property) You must Punch a person who has not yet completed their task, to swap your task with their task Now you have to try to complete their task And they have to try to swap this task with someone else This game of swapping continues until the end of session The person who has this task at the end of session has to reroll for a harder task next session and has to get punched by everyon who had their task swapped this session

@@JeffDeff-hp3el I had to try 😔
Skizz's analysis of the prospects of his Angel task was absolute gold! "It's already an uphill battle, as it's YOU!"
Scott and Cleo teaming up
Me: *Double Life flashbacks..*
This was one of the most intense episodes I've seen along with last session 😂
it's so full circle that cleo is now burning lizzie's house when their first task ever was to build on top of lizzie's :))
"The only one that takes me out is me." WAS NOT EXPECTING THAT RAW OF A LINE DAMN
So, it begins, the long awaited and teased chaos of the 7th
A monument for the ages, a session of torment
And it starts with etho lost in the mines lol, perfect
(spoilers for my reactions to more insanity):
WHAT
A ZOMBIE PLAGUE
THATS INSANE
Wolfspawner ooooh yeeeeah!
Ooh I bet its Scots under the secret keeper tunnel
Drowning, that is incredible
The fact Gem saw Cleo in the beginning and was like "nah too hard" lol
She did it YEEEEEEEES Team GrianCleoEtho ftw
this is sad when you think about where we started in episode 6
Grian and Etho literally murdered all but 1 of the reds, then one of the yellows get the job of murdering everyone else
Team Grietheo
That's it, I was trying to come up with one, that works@@CadanL
@@Adir-YosefI'm sure that was intentional, the series is designed to be short and normally reds actively drag everyone else down, now its the secret keeper that trys to kill everyone.
And we already know the admins give player specific tasks. (Like the ones that force them to reroll, or Etho & Grian's joint hard task) And Gem is one of the best PvP players on the server, so they probably intentionally gave her that task as the most likely to get the snowball rolling.
@@jasonreed7522coulda just as easily been Joel. imagine Joel as patient zero!
The Etho Cleo loyalty is SO STRONG
cant wait to binge every episode that comes out today. always nice to start with cleo's episode
That scene hiding from impulse was tense!
Etho as Cleos devil seems a lot more favorable than Skizz being her Angel. 😅
🤣11:50 Cleo is gonna milk that for all its worth. And I am here for it.
Talk about heartburn. 25:25
Somehow, someway.
Man, what a teeth clenching episode. I could feel the stress the entire time!
nice
I'm one minute in and this is already my favourite task in the entire series.
This whole episode was so heart pumping! My heart was pounding so much in the end there.
8:40 The greatest music ever created
Martin watching all this go down from the sidelines is peak comedy
Cleo keeps rolling the most complex and elaborate secrets. It's incredible
Cleo's survival skills showcased in this episode is incredible!!
I love how with arson, everyone knows if it's not Cleo, it's Scar, vice versa, but if it's neither it'd be Scott.
I was missing Scott from all the action, and I was so excited when Cleo escaped up to Gem's base and I predicted it as soon as she mined through the wall
It was a very cool moment, the final member remaining
I love how calm Cleo remains throughout all the chaos
Her camera was shaking so much. I think they were panicking so much that they weren't speaking lol
The editing on this to convey the absolute TENSION of that session. Absolutely impeccable
This is one of the best episodes of the life series I've ever seen, from any pov. The DRAMA! Omg this was so much fun
1st quarter of the video, etho is a really good devil 😂
Edit: Finished the video it was intense but no idea if she completed the task
Task idea
(Your task is now my property)
You must Punch a person who has not yet completed their task, to swap your task with their task
Now you have to try to complete their task
And they have to try to swap this task with someone else
This game of swapping continues until the end of session
The person who has this task at the end of session has to reroll for a harder task next session and has to get punched by everyon who had their task swapped this session
