As someone who has lived both. Country is 10x better
I agree
Yeah rural for sure! Living on top of other people SUCKS.
i feel like cities are for young people who are excited to live life at any cost, while rural areas are more for the elderly, who can be calm and collected
Yeah for youngest and older
@@jamescameron2306
I agree..
I'm in my 20s
Never liked city life..
Never will.
I'm a teenager and I'm stuck in countryside i wanna go to city and explore my potential
@@plasticface7875you should try it, but I moved to nyc for a couple years and got sick of it quick. Even though there sos many people it’s the most isolating experience ever, no one cares about anyone and you can never be alone in your own thoughts without others around you
@@plasticface7875city life is shit
NYC is nice because you have a lot to do, and it is literally sleepless so you can work at anytime of day and if you work at night most places pay you more to work the graveyard shift or if you are on call, and in NYC you dont have to worry about transportation cause you have lots of options, the city is a great place if you are a workaholic.
Michelle Marie that is tru
OMG the workaholics 😱
aye im walkin heahr
Living in the city is also more dense living environment typically and that means a smaller house for your money, which arguably would effect quality of life.
Housing prices are a reflection of demand. IE: someone who buys it wants to pay the premium to live there. People wouldn't be paying $300k for a condo downtown if they thought their quality of life would be poor.
Affect
I'm an introvert and I hate living in small town. If you have niche interests, it's unlikely that'll you'll bump into someone you click with in a small town. Small towns have almost no performing arts theatres, museums, zoos, history landmarks, cultural events, quirky new restaurants or Cafe's opening up now and then for you to check out. Most entertainment in small towns are family cookouts and house parties. Public transportation is poor in small towns so you can't have a nightlife without a car. You'll be unsafe and alone by a lonely bus stop waiting a hour for the fews buses or taxis.
stay at home, read more, learn more and be smart.
I agree completely!
Why would you want those things though
As an introvert i love small towns, you can buy stuff like good, home items etc and nature is like 2 minutes walk from here, so i can just spend time there with a book or just enjoying the time there.
@@rameneater1437 maybe because he likes those things instead of things other people like
Please consider living a country life can be extremely lonely and boring especially alone :(
@GIANNA FUSCO where** not we're. We're means we are
Or Calm, peacefull when you are introvert who likes nature. Cities on other hand are just stress and haste.
I agree the crappy prison countryside is straight dog shit to live at. I’m always miserable about it. I’m gonna try to move back to the city before summer 2024.
Oh god, please, just quiet down a little bit. Mine for example can go closer to some locations that are like small cities or stuff, and living in a village is so quiet and peaceful, I lived there and borned in there, without any boredom in here.
Villages are the best place then
In Canada you can have your cake and eat it too. All major cities in Canada are very accessible to the country. So if you live in a big city, you get the best of both worlds. But if you live in the country you only have the benefits of the country.
2:02 is when she says she fells safe in the city. She also finds rat poison and rat trap peanut butter to be tasty
I’m from a small town and I always wonder why would my parents spend their whole life here. I don’t like it at all. Barely any entertainment
Amen!
Small towns are the best.
I lived in a small rural town most of my life then went to college in a big city, now I don't understand how people can live in them.
No fresh air, constant traffic noises, no visible stars, every back alley reeks of piss, people mind their own buisness and are constantly on the move and full of stress, people who complain about the smallest things because they're used everything being within a hand's reach.
Living in a city made me feel not human.
The city is Heaven, the crappy prison countryside is Hell.
New York is a bit of a cherry picked example because it has a better murder rate than most cities. Use Chicago or LA as an example and the murder rate won't look so good. Also, it feels disingenuous to just include the city proper because often, crime spills over into the surrounding area. It isn't really LA proper, it's LA county. Legally they may be separate but we treat a bunch of cities in close proximity as effectively one large city.
Yeah, but if you're stabbed in the contryside no one is going to be there
@Carlos Daniel Costa. If you are stabbed in a city, people will watch, gasp and move on because they wouldn't want to be late for work. It's more humiliating for the victim.
Another thing to mention is that in rural areas the dating pool is abysmal, ESPECIALLY for anyone who has niche dating preferences like for example LGBT, gay and trans people often have nobody to date, or just can't date locally. The low wages in rural areas often leave people trapped there, because they don't make big city money, or even suburbanite wages, they can't afford to move sometimes. And they can't always find jobs as specialists which pay more.
A lot of things also kinda just depend, commute times can be less in cities or more. If you live right in the downtown area and you work there, its cheap, if you live in an exurb or suburb, then enjoy your 40 minute drive. Short commute times are definitly NOT guaranteed for people in rural areas either. Those are really just averages. Really most types of people can make either one "work" but for some high costs, or crowds won't be worth it, in the case of cities and the social alienation, and for others the need to drive long distances to go to social gatherings or do anything fun isn't going to be worth it.
I believe that most people can be accomodated by cities if the urban planning is good and the location meets their needs. Only problem is, a lot of cities are planned very poorly, especially in america. Rural areas also mean you'll have a hard time finding anyone with niche interests. To some people one represents freedom and the other is some hamster wheel or sensory deprivation chamber, but really. You're not free no matter which one you pick. You just have a set of preferences.
We as humans are not meant to live in large cities rather close knit communities where you grow most of your own food and know your neighbors
Is it just me or does that white country house remind me of Nezu from My Hero Academia 😅🤷♂️
RURAL LIFE FOREVER AHH
If you’re driven you’ll end up in a city. Quality of life has nothing to do with it. Big fish live in big ponds.
That's fundamentally not true. Plently of "driven" people who became successful did so in the country as those in the city
Of course there are plenty, but definitely not the majority. I’ve lived in both.
I agree with this statement I tried to live in the country with my partner, but it felt like i was swimming against the tide, People in cities discuss big ideas that would seem crazy if not for the fact that everyone considers it the norm in the city, but in a small country town its deemed crazy or far fetched small poppy syndrome is most prevalent in small towns. there's more money in cities because that's where all the driven people go who are turning the cogs in the wheel of our so called economies
Yeah covid proves you can work remotely without living in a city for a higher wage. Gotta love yet internet
The internet is a bigger pond than any city. Besides barely any of the highly competent or high networth people actually live in cities. Their interests require actual space. No one is experimenting with rockets or building flying cars in cramped studio apartments, coffee shops or shared workspaces.
love city but i want to live in rural for its peaceful
Same, I was born in a city but someday I wanna live in a rural area.
I think i like the country more
Yep! Air is fresh, trees are more green, you have own vegetables, mushrooms from forest, fish from river, its cool and healthy
Yup! No sirens every five minutes during the night and loud traffic, no terrorist attacks or large scale robberies, no dirty streets littered with rubbbish! The country is the best place to be, I'm glad I live here 😌
@@wondertyzipp8260 Amen brotha! 😎

i’ve always lived in rural areas and i have always hated it, whenever i go to cities i love it so i be in the city fr
I 100% agree. I’ve been living in the boring countryside since 2007. It makes me bitter and miserable. I might move out before the end of 2024. I’ve always been a city boy and I’m glad you like the city too. 😁
People in cities like to have everything provided for them
No they make everything country people take for granted like cars
@@metalfansavarani where do you get the ore lol
@@metalfansavarani where do you think the lumber for your houses come from? its not downtown lol
@@metalfansavarani or the leather on car seats? leather doesnt grow on trees. it comes from the country; on farms. everything the cities have in physical terms have been provided by those invisible rural communities.
@@metalfansavarani And country people can actually drive them instead of getting stuck in a traffic jam every 2 minutes...
Well if you are a single guy, with no family or car countryside life is not realistic... I'm a city person, however I dont like Megapolices either. I like nice towns 30k-450k...
Urban is way better in my opinion
Exactly, I’ve been trapped in the crappy countryside since 2007. I’m gonna try to move back to the city around 2024. I’m glad you like the city better.
If you think people are rude and crass in the city, just wait until you find out how some people in the country will treat you. They're literally just too stupid to understand the idea of treating people how they themselves want to be treated.
Rural people and city people hate each other because they live different lives since city people live fast lives and to rural people who live much simpler lives see this as rude
I’ve always found it to be completely flipped I’ve lived in the country my whole life and everyone is so polite where as city people are so rude and you can’t even say a without getting ugly looks or somebody thinking your tryna press them
@@pluto5067 I live country too and i hate the Dirty looks people give me when I try sparking a conversation and somebody bumped into me while walking but didnt stop walking
I've lived in both sides and I experienced the opposite.
Sure yeah, there are sh*tty towns. But there are also really great towns to live in.
Cities however, you're guaranteed to experience the sh*tty side every week.
Personally, I can't tolerate stupidity and childish people, and the cities are conjested with exactly that.
Split the difference and live in the ‘burbs!
where can I find the text of the dialogue?
For now, that's why I prefer the suburbs.
Hmmm cheese sampling vs peace and tranquility? 🤔
