I love how you do the Kanto section, I do the same way and have level cap for all the gyms as to not make it mundane, always got a bit annoyed when youtubers just skip over the Kanto section when they had plenty of encounters

I thought I had tried everything and I even asked my friends who were no help at all. It took me persistently walking into each and every wall in the house to discover how to leave!

I really enjoy the little touches you have in your playthroughs. Things like noticing or reacting to dialogue, making funny little interpretations (step dad machoke in your ruby/sapphire runs is an example). It just feels like you legitimately enjoy exploring the world rather than rushing through all the fights, even though you must've played these games hundreds of times by now.
A bug only run of gen 1 would be fun with all the bugs in it. Or maybe a starter only run in gen 7 since there are a few to pick from in the wild from island scan. Both sound fun
a starter is called started because you start with it. it goes weird if you get more with island scan in starter only run, looks a bit not starter only.
Am I the only one that finds it kinda hilarious when people forget about Overgrow/Blaze/Torrent? Those abilities have both saved my rear end and been the cause of certain deaths in the few nuzlockes I've done. (RIP Lukey the Lapras in my Pokemon Y nuzlocke - AKA my very first nuzlocke ever)

Great video as always Silph! If you're in need of another idea for these run videos you could do runs where you limit how many encounters you have. Loved this water video but there are so many encounters that it gave you an embarrassment of riches. If you limited yourself to the first X amount of encounters it could offer up the ability to do type runs an additional time. Just a thought. Thanks for the videos as always!
You're correct in remembering the Ex-Rocket member. In Black and White you could go to his house in Icurrus City in the winter time, and it was, in fact, this one from the Kanto bit. You also get to hear a BW soundfont rendition of the Team Rocket Radio Tower Take-over theme in there. In BW2 they were replaced by a married Aqua and Magma grunt.
Well down this is the first time I’ve seen a gen two run if kanto in almost all vids they just show highlights then red never really showing anything else thx for doing this part two and I hope you do this more often (when it’s not boring) have fun and stay safe
I remember getting Gold and later Crystal after playing Red and Yellow. As a 9 year old it was just mindblowing beimg able to go to Kanto 😂 HeartGold and SoulSilver are perfect remakes. I bought them ftom my first money of my job with a new DSi at the time aroumd 2010. Theyd be a 10/10 game if they just fixed that bad levels on the Kanto gym leaders. But still 9,5/10 games in my opinion. Peak Pokemon next to Emerald and Platinum

According to damage calcs on the Venusaur vs. Kingdra bit, Venusaur's Frenzy Plant was going to do 93 to 110% to Kingdra. Venusaur has a 122 SpAtk stat and was in Overgrow + STAB 150 BP Frenzy Plant. RIP Thorpe
Ss&hg will always be one of the best pokemon games out giving you opportunity to fight gen 1 gym leaders again but way stronger watching this made me want to bust out the Ds again and play a nuzlock of hg

The Rocket Grunt in another region you're referring to is supposed to be the Rocket Grunt found near Cerulean, and he's in Unova in Icirrus City.

You probably didn't need 11 badges for the Super Rod, you can access the whole map aside from the Rock Climb Area & NT Silver with only 8
