Hi just come across your channel looking for a review of this model. I need to cut up my decking for transport to the local tip. So I will now go out and buy it.
    Thanks for your review.

It’s a decent saw, still going strong now after absolute abuse 👍🏻

I purchased one yesterday to demolish my wood decking. When I cut through the decking the vibration was quite prominent and even gave me a blister. I gave in as I was concerned regarding the vibration. It was tough to cut through the wooden decking but the wood was wet. I gave up in the end due to my concerns. Would the wetness of the wood affect the cut? Or is it that I-should accept the vibration?

To significantly reduce vibration, keep the shoe pressed up against whatever you are cutting (you may need a shorter blade)
Also you should not be using this saw without a decent set of gloves.

I wouldn’t attempt wet wood, the blade will catch and struggle especially decking boards.
Use a shorter blade and keep the saw tightly pressed against the wood, you can use gloves but overall there is no need.
      👍🏻

I have just found your video and am glad that I have. I am trying to figure out the differences between the DCS 380N and the one you are using, is it compactness, or more, it is Brush and brushless, there is a 40+ price difference so the one you are using should be better I guess. Also, the blades seem short, I am cutting 10 x 4 sleepers and 3/4 driven bolts that are holding these sleepers down as a wooden-sided fish pond. I over-engineered it 8 years ago and cannot get it apart without one of these saws. I need to enter the sleepers sidewards, between each one, and locate the large bolt. cut through the bolt separating each sleeper to be reused as raised garden beds. So would I use a metal blade, as that sliding between the wood to find the bolt would be the first major substance to cut? Any help and advice would be so welcome, and apologies for a long message, cheer in advance Paul

This is a great piece of kit and I’m sure if you buy the longer blades you will be ok 👌🏻👌🏻
