I believe that Ryan was fully aware that his chances of defeating Tank weren't certain. Even his team harbored some doubt about the outcome. It's clear to me that Ryan admires Tank greatly, and perhaps saw him as a stepping stone to a bigger platform. He prioritized his rise in fame, so much so that he was willing to risk defeat at the hands of one of the best, just to be in a greater limelight.
That weight cut and no-rehydration clause also played a big part in it, if you've ever had to cut weight like that you'll know it's true

Hector wasn't really crafty and his footwork was pretty bad. Tank figured him out real early then started to beat on him. Fight was really exciting though

I know alot of people don't know. Most people think Tank injured his hand in the fight but the reality was Tank injured his hand with 2 weeks left in camp. He came into that fight with his dominant hand jacked up. No way in hell that thing was gonna heal fully with a week and a half left to showtime. But no complaints people in his camp didn't even know. He fought through it. Boxed circles around Cruz and Reinjured his hand during the fight. I saw the x-ray. One break had a point on it like a ice pick. Nasty! So shout out to Tank for keeping it G💪🏿Team Tank all day long😤

@@Animefightforum with the resumes each fighter has I think the non prep time favors Cruz. Tank was winning the fight clearly until he stopped using his other hand which was broke don’t get me wrong it was a good fight. But I think it wouldn’t be nearly as close as it was the first fight. I understand both fighters benefit from prep time I personally feel one fighter would benefit more than the other based on style. Just my opinion though. Tbh everyone wants tank because of the payday so him choosing who he fights you have to take that into consideration. I can fight you and make 5mil and you’ll make 2mil i can fight someone else and make maybe 8 to 10mil. You fight someone else and maybe make 250k. Of course you’d wanna fight me again.
