@Andrew Salter well define 'big' Andrew. They hit the nail when they needed to with IoR. Also the hence they broke up doesn't make any sense. You could say that about any band
@Andrew Salter why do I feel as though you're missing the point. I'm merely pointing to the fact that in the 2000's they were popular in the metal scene. I don't care why they broke up.
@Andrew Salter 🤣 where are you even coming from dude?! The man said he thinks they're underappreciated, and I said they weren't, they enjoyed many years of success and fandom.
@Andrew Salter he literally said 'the most unappreciated metal band ever'. I'm not interested in you trying to justify it with your essay because it's only your opinion. In my circles they were a popular band. That's it.
Awesome. Just turned 33 myself and I was shown them by a friend when I was 17 been hooked since. Praying they reband and make new music. I suggest checking out their former guitarist rob arnold you tube channel. He just made a solo album and it rips
First Chiamira song I ever listened to... who would've thought it'd turn out to be my favourite band for the rest of my life. I'll miss my teenage hero's :/
2021 still banging. I miss those good old time, I remember when a friend bought this CD and we went over to him only to listen to it for a few hours and have fun.
Saw these guys live at UEA tonight as well as Whitechapel supporting Trivium. Chimaira totally blew me the fuck away and I never even heard of them before!
This album is fucking amazing, but for those saying that Chimaira sucks now they probably haven't even listened to their newer shit, it is not as good as this don't get me wrong, but it still kicks ass.
They are definitely one of the few *solid live bands* that I am waiting to make a major comeback aside from *Mudvayne* and *Rage Against The Machine* to be honest.
It’s been many years…they took a break.,and many bands have succeeded..trying to make there sound ..? But no one has ever been successful…Chimiara..is back.. and ready to take the metal world by the balls..! This band is way before it’s time..!
I was at the last show of the Artery Metal Tour last night. They had a bunch of dudes put on banana suits and lobster costumes and run onstage just to be crazy. Mark sang "determination, perseverance, resolution..." then held out the mic to the lobster. Everyone wanted to hear "RESUURRECTIOOOONN", but I guess he didn't know the lyrics, so he just went "Bllaargh!" and Mark started laughing in the middle of the song.
Any Chimaira fan or heavy metal fan should check out their initial underground EP release titled "This Present Darkness". It's 7 songs plus a bonus track and it's absolutely amazing. Very raw compared to their newer stuff but better in my opinion. It's my fav album by them along with self titled. I actually like all their old albums prior to this album "Resurection". This song is ok but they went downhill from here in general. This is a good song but the rest are just ok. And the albums after this are let downs. They def peaked with self titled. The first EP plus the next 3 major releases blew my mind!! Check out their old stuff!!! The rarely known album "This Present Darkness" is a must own for any fan!!!
The Krunch 106.66 had some legendary tracks on it. Helmet - Unsung , Avenged Sevenfold - Bat Country (We were somewhere around Barstow, when the drugs began to take hold!) , Chimera - Resurrection, Lamb of God - Redneck & 3 Inches of Blood - Deadly Sinners to name a few
Most of these guys went to owning their own business or other artistic endeavors. The vocalist mark is a photographer and journalist for metal magazines. Rob the guitarist is still doing music as a producer and session musician and will be doing an album either this drummer so that'll be nice to see (they were the main music writers along with Mark)
Maia Forman Wait... Death Metal? You don't know what Death Metal is if you're calling this Death Metal. Deathcore at best which I don't really consider Death Metal. But it's actually Metalcore. On the heavier side of it.

When he started getting into the who UFC/MMA brocore BS that's when the band started to take a downhill turn for the worse. He's a fucking amazing vocalist, and I'll never take that away from him, but seeing how his attitude changed so drastically over the years is what killed Chimaira. R.I.P. 1998-2007.
I remember one dude once told me Chimaira was just a knock off Pantera. Not even close dude. They possess their own sound and brand. Definitely would consider them just good family fun clean metal really. Banger of a band.
@thychaos I was trying to explain this to someone too. I'm the only one I know that can actually appreciate death metal/melodic death metal etc. You have to be able to pick up on parts of the song that you might not notice the first time you hear it. The first times I heard In Flames, I didn't think they were too great. Now though, they are one of my favorite bands of all time.
The most unappreciated metal band ever
I mean, not really, they were pretty big in their heyday
@Andrew Salter well define 'big' Andrew. They hit the nail when they needed to with IoR. Also the hence they broke up doesn't make any sense. You could say that about any band

my favorite thing about Chimaira is their ability to end almost every song with kick-ass heavy riffs and breakdowns.
awesome stuff
After 33 yrs on planet Earth I have finally heard this amazing band, and now I'm hooked
Awesome. Just turned 33 myself and I was shown them by a friend when I was 17 been hooked since. Praying they reband and make new music. I suggest checking out their former guitarist rob arnold you tube channel. He just made a solo album and it rips

They are legendary
First Chiamira song I ever listened to... who would've thought it'd turn out to be my favourite band for the rest of my life.
I'll miss my teenage hero's :/
I feel that dude, saw them twice live. Was sure they'd be around forever..
Just to let you know their lead guitarist Rob Arnold has a UA-cam channel it's pretty awesome you should check it out
Filmed and audio recorded with a potato and this song still makes the bestest, hardest, crunchiest fries i ever had
Oi
Well the audio quality isn’t that bad actually
It’s gotta be the upload quality. I was in this music video and they had some pretty legit cameras and tons of production gear.
The recordings not TOO bad, but the video definitely has that Eazy-Bake-Oven quality
Just heard the news...THEY'RE BACK TOGETHER!!! I used to buy Chimaira albums the day they came out, still have their first 5 CDs to this day.
Now this is the Chimaira that I'm used to listening to. R.I.P. Chimaira: 2001 - 2007.
Those were the days... sady I missed those years.
3101max yeah the ''new'' chimaira sucks
snakeoo38 they hav some pretty cool songs like year of the snake.
RIP Chimaira 1998 - 2014 (the band splited)

the is one of THE most brutal chimaira breakdowns on all their albums - it is complete SAVAGE.
Chimaira my favorite band:) please come back
1998-2014... Especially "Ressurection" album was so good!
Saw these guys live at UEA tonight as well as Whitechapel supporting Trivium. Chimaira totally blew me the fuck away and I never even heard of them before!
I saw them on their first tour when they opened for SLAYER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was an incredible show!
This album is fucking amazing, but for those saying that Chimaira sucks now they probably haven't even listened to their newer shit, it is not as good as this don't get me wrong, but it still kicks ass.
Chimaira is my favourite grove metal band and when I heard this song in saints row 2, I listened only two stations
Determination, perseverance, resolution... RESURRECTION!!!!!! This non-stop when at the gym baby!
His resurrection isn't as yours . Only if you people had open minds. Let's just say it's they're turn
Determination, Perseverance, Resolution, Resurrection.
*Reminds me of albums by God Forbid, Hatebreed, Lamb Of God.*
The REAL Chimaira had so much power......I miss them.
i dont like this song, but i like POWERTRIP, could you recomend me more?
You don’t like this song?? Gtf off chimaera homes this is one of their best:

Consumida pela ganância e pelo ódio
