Gotta mostly disagree there. It honestly depends since you have to find the right person but therapy helped me a ton and has made my life 100x times better. If anything needs to change it’s that there needs to be more qualified therapists and not ones that are enablers.

(The joke in Glacier Park was that the way to tell black bear scat from griz scat was that the griz scat would usually contain some bear bells. YES, making yourself known is key but no need to scream ... or yodel ... or ... oops, I think I got triggered. Carry on.)

I used too work at a Military Aiviation Supply and Support company that shared the Landingstirps of one of our International Airports.
When the stress of the day would get to me I'd let my Manager know with a secret sign that I was going too a specific spot near the fence.
I would wait there until the next big airline came in for landing and just let out a Loud scream that nobody would hear. I usually repeated it a few time and then could go back and face the ugly parts of life again.
We still stay close too that Airport and I still find myself going too a secluded spot near the Landing Strip every now and then just too let it all go.

I’m not sure if it was japan or Korea or China. Back in the 90s they had this program were they would take people to a warehouse and have them release stress by breaking objects with baseball bats. They canceled the program when they realized that subjects were actually becoming violent in their every day life. 🤷

Dang! I hiked eleven miles today in the forest surrounded by sequoias, pines, and firs and I saw exactly two people the whole time. All it cost me was the gas to get to the trailhead!
