I love seeing your garden. I work at a seed company, and want to tell folks to order early this year if you are buying seed. The worldwide lockdowns in spring and early summer have left us with less seed than usual, and it is best if you can get the orders in early so you can get what is available. Also, last year we were so busy, and many companies were 2 weeks behind.
Noticed some of the landscape companies are installing these raised vegetable beds since the pandemic...... Many of them are using a Hardscape, such as blocks, bricks or stones, and they're also putting a nice seating wall on the top cap; this allows a lot of the seniors/ or the handicapped to sit on top of the raised vegetable beds. I've also noticed then placing many water spickets throughout the beds, so they can hand water along with drip/ or permanent irrigation Some are using low voltage outdoor lighting, it looks great. I would imagine in some of the colder climate they will put a cover over the some of the tender horticulture.
Don't we just love that "Creekside Smile"..lol...today I am planting some collards, 🍓 strawberries, 🌶 peppers AND guess what.. I am going to plant my little mums in the ground(thanks for the previous tip)....I call it my "Fall FingersCross Crop"..! #TrySaynThat3TimesFast... xoxo PaulaShanae
This field is not cure in irrigation so we’re just depending on the rain to water it. We’re entering into the “rainy season” here (aka rain at least 1-2 a week).
Yes Here in the Carolinas we experience a lot of rain, it can be good and bad, I'm not a fan of the humidity it causes and more chances for powdery mildew problems 🥴
Great healthy choices Jenny, sowed some mix greens salad mix ,kale spinach, radish ,bok choi, cilantro about 10 days ago and so happy to see most of them are about 2 inches already, our Connecticut temp have been so favorably warm ,this morning coming hm from wk atc6:30a.m was 55 degrees 🙏 that I'll be about to enjoy some of those beauties, stay safe and cool ❤
@@GardeningwithCreekside From your mouth to gods ears Jenny 😉 hopefully no invasion of little critters, it's always a joy to watch and learn from your video's ❤
Got a question - I live northeast from you in the Triad area of NC and I planted beets in the late spring. They came up and are pretty leafy things, but are doing nothing much else. Should I leave them in the ground now that it’s getting a little bit cooler? Or just pull them out and start over? Thanks for showing us your contraption for planting! I think my grandfather planted corn with something like that. Great memories! My Grandparents farmed in Union County btw. 😃
Jenny, I'm sorry I come off as needy when it comes to my plants... it's because I am! My issue is really not a bad thing but more of an astonishment. My Summerific Perfect Storm Hibiscus is going into bloom again! It has about a hundred new blooms all over it! The Choco Latte has a couple new blooms on it too! I don't think they're suppose to... are they? Why are they blooming again?
Oh honey you’re not needy! I’m not sure why they are reblooming, but don’t question a good thing 😂. I have noticed that one of mine has started putting on new flowers too.
@@GardeningwithCreekside Maybe it's just the year of non rebloomers to rebloom! I am very happy I get to watch the magnificent show again! Thanks Jenny ❤
@@GardeningwithCreekside sorry to hear that. I wish you Better luck with the fall garden. In Canada there is no such thing as a fall garden, so please enjoy yours

That is great advice, and I agree 💯 percent!

How are you watering the sunflower garden?

I can't wait to see all those sunflowers ❤️🌻💜. I love beets. I'm eating a beet salad as I watch you plant.
Girl planting on the fly. Love it. A kale smorgasbord.
Lovin' these southern girls! "Life is too short for minimum spacing!"😎
The excitement and anticipation.😊😊😊
Watching now and preparing! So excited ❤️
Spectacular gardening skills and knowledge! 👏👏
Love your no nonsense attitude ❤️❤️❤️
I am definitely going to try planting veggies next year 🤗
An ideal way to plant sunflowers. Love the different colors!
Thanks! I can’t wait to see them all in bloom!

I would take them out and try again. Beets have a pretty quick turn around so if you planted them in the Spring you should have had them by now.
@@GardeningwithCreekside Thanks!,
Great video! Cant wait to see them grow !
When you planted the vegetable seeds, you used the tool in your right and left hands. Are you ambidextrous or close to it?
I’ve never even noticed that I switch hands while gardening!
We are opposite to you veggie planting … 🇦🇺🌱🥺
Wouldn’t it be fun to visit each other’s gardens for a week???

Can’t wait to see the sunflowers!!!
They've already germinated and are growing well, yay!!!
This video is awesome! I love that seed machine thing! I’ve already planted sunflowers from seed but now I’m probably gonna pant more!! 🌻 🌻
Do you have issues with birds stealing seeds from the garden? I do. Any recommendations?
Just planted beets for the first time in a galvanized tub! We shall see,
Sadly my neighborhood deer enjoy snacking on my sunflowers!! Looking forward to your crop!
Oh man! That stinks! I’ll happily share mine with you 😊
Excited to see the ☀️ sunflower 🌻 field.
Great video from your favorite nephew I hope Megan is doing well.
She is recovering nicely, thank you ♥️

THAT is the small plot!!!😳
😂😂😂. What can I say? Jerry is very ambitious 😉
I've used that type of seeder for all kinds of veggies.
Just curious did I miss your video of where you showed the mature summer victory garden?
No you didn’t. Our Spring season at the nursery was beyond what we could have predicted (all good things) and the summer garden suffered.
