YESSSS that is the plan.. and I cannot wait! I want a lovely patio with a nice seating area. It's the better plot to look at the views. I'll still go to lindas though 😂😂 she has crisps and chocolate haha
What you like 😂 Love the sweetpea hack - clever! I like the messy abundance. Look at that banana tree!! 👀🤣 Don't forget to save your strawflower seed too 💮🤗 Oh that's a good idea to let a couple of the garleeks go to seed to collect 👍
Oh no, fancy getting the date wrong! Whoops! All that thinking time has led to these changes hasn’t it? So funny! I think the plans are a good idea. It’ll be fan on the new plot. Same size as my tunnel. Plenty of room for more crops winter and summer. Exciting times! So much clearing and sowing to do. It’s such a strange time in the garden isn’t it? Busier than I thought it’d be. I hope you were pleased with the new hedge trimmer? Had mine a few years now, completely abused (never oiled the blades) and I’m still impressed with it. Looking forward to taking some spares from you at Malvern! Ha…see you next Sunday!
Yes my mind was idle and it's caused more work haha thanks for the suggestion of trimmer. Thanks for making me spend more money haha! I did record a thanks.. but files were corrupt. Weirdly both time I've mentioned you and kerry.. its like go pro doesn't like your names hahaha! See you at Malvern! Looking forward to it 😊🌱
Hi Danny, I'm glad your 'mistake' allows you to benefit from a bigger polytunnel. Your vision for the plot, and ability to change and adapt is fantastic, and is why you are able to create such a lovely, atmospheric area. Sorry your Bulgarian leeks have to go, but as you say, there is always next year. Can you believe that I'm living in Bulgaria and growing them for the first time this year? Take care, enjoy the week ahead xx
Hey Jean! You're right! I can't believe you've never done them before haha! I am still debating keeping the leeks. It's raining a lot here.. but the next fine day I'll mark out the polytunnel to see where it fits best. Danny 🌱
Hi Danny, Wow! 20ft long polytunnel, thats brilliant. Can't wait to see it built 😊 exciting times ahead. We don't have formë to fill in, we have a tenancy agreement which states what wr can & cannot have. Our committee isn't involved in any of that. It is soley for association members, we hold, events, site competition, barbecue & raing money to ensbke the committee to purchase compost etc to sell to it's members. The council also carry monthly inspections too. Great video update. Thanks for sharing and take care 😊
Hi Danny. More polytunnel, more space to play 👍 Yes, definitely looking bare where the old one stood. Pity you cant have a new one in its place. One on each plot. I think your greenhouse will look lost but I'm sure you'll work your magic (and sprinkles) to make it look fab. It gets bad before it gets better. Enjoy Malvern. I wish I could be there. Elaine 👍🌱🌼🌼🌼🌼🌼
Hey Elaine! I could have a tunnel on both plots. But I don't need 2 realistically. The greenhouse will slot into my plan nicely I think. Eventually I'd love a wooden greenhouse. I love them!! Shame you can't be at malvern! Maybe next time. Danny 🌱
All these things happen for a reason! 👍❤ Exciting times Danny eh 🎉 We'll have to have a double celebration, celebrating yours and ours polytunnels 🥂🍾🥳 😉 😂 Still growing lots of lovely vegetables, herbs, fruit and flowers. Hope Doug doesn't go picking our Greek Gigantees, yours are crisp and dry already. Why don't you try and replant your leeks Danny, it's worth a try isn't it. You know me, that's what I would do 😂 Have a great week, see you soon ❤ x
@@TheGrowUpChannel Your plot looks so different without the polytunnel doesn't it but it'll look fabulous with the greenhouse on there. Your new polytunnel is going to be amazing for growing in 👍❤️ x
If you aren't already subbed to Danny then you are missing out! Heart of 💛, with a great sense of humour! Danny you are like Mr Ben. A man with many hats! Always a pleasure to watch and never a chore. 'Today Danny is a pirate, or Popeye'! lol You are looking great and only jesting! Are you fully over covid now? How are the ribs? The date overlook might be a slight under sight but at least you didn't dig up the herb bed! Also, you are now getting a bigger one - poly that is! lol Also, gives you a chance to re jig beds and hit the ground running when it does get installed. What April cabbages are you growing? We are trying to grow Durham Early, Red Drumhead, Tundra and Savoy. I say try as everything is trying to eat them. Also growing Rudolph Extra Early Sprouting broccoli and will replace the tomatoes. I seem to be having the same germination issues again as in spring. Asked hubby and our child to sow 20 sugar snap peas from a new packet and only 2 germinated! We have the bad rain coming down as i write this and just can hear the glugs as it comes down the pipes! I hope that means it is clearing the gutters. With the new poly where it is going to be, will also create some wind protection and shade for cool weather crops. Don't forget to order in any manure and compost you might need! I need to order some for our beds for when the cabbages go in and i have it written down but i keep forgetting still. My memory is trash after covid and i thought "Baby brain" was bad! Submitting plans seems like a ball ache but i guess it is to stop people from taking the pee and being inconsiderate to other plot holders. I don't get the 1m away from paths as that would potentially create an area for grass and weeds, where as a poly would keep that out? Or am i missing something like blow over? Nice to seem you trimming your bush but will you be tackling the over hanging stuff on the other plot once the greenhouse has been moved? You could always move the other shed to the new plot to replace the old one and move the pond up? Does that require another ball ache request? We are getting a second flush of raspberries. We did get another of strawberries until the cold snap 2 weeks ago. They have a lot of runners that i need to bag up for next year though. I really hope the massive flush of raspberries ripen as i am allowed to use them to make raspberry ripple ice cream. I also harvested and blended down some mint in ice cube trays for mint choc chip ice cream. We still have a tub and a half of rhubarb crumble ice cream. Most of our freezer is packed with frozen fruit and beans now. I am just hoping that our remaining tomatoes ripen in time! 🤞 I am sure everything to come together for you Danny. Take care, have a fab week and stay dry! x
Thank you very kind! I still have a tickle cough from covid. My ribs are doing very well thank you. Still feel a pinch now and them. But I plod on. The distance from the path to polytunnel is to stop people falling / tripping and hitting your polytunnel or greenhouse. You can put a raised bed or plant in that area though. I'm getting a second flush of raspberries too! Yes everything will come together I'm sure 😊🌱
@@TheGrowUpChannel All takes time to heal as we get older. Hopefully, by next year after a rest you will soon feel better. I have been on multiple anti biotics but i think the double back to back different ones really helped me kick the long covid and polythycemia symptoms. Ah ok. Like you coming back from one of Linda's "Tea Party's" hey?! lol ;o) "That's wind damage" but they fell in the herb bed again! We've all seen the videos! lol Glad to hear you are still on the mend though. x
Bigger is better in this case 😂 ❤ Ooh snake beans … going to check to see if we have any of those. Gorgeous flower. Wow such a shuffle 😮don’t do things by half do you 😂 It will all come good and be tidy in no time 🙂
Haha! Well if I get more beans from the flowers in the greenhouse I may have some extra. To be continued... if not try long yard beans. You can buy them for sure. I'm sure it'll all come together in the end. 😊
What a wonderful mistake! Now you will be getting something better. I would get rid of the tree as long as you don’t enjoy it. I also would disappointedly remove the leeks. It will give the poly tunnel people some space when they are erecting it. I like the idea of moving the green house too. I will be watching all these exciting changes. What fun spring is going to bring!😊
I agree Debbie. It's not an apple tree I want anyways.. so it may go.. the leeks are in the way too.. but I may decide to chop and freeze them. I luckily planted all my spares on the Fig and olive plot. So all is not lost Danny 🌱
Hey Danny what a plonker but we’ve all done it. But in hindsight the poly delay seems to have done you a favour. Love the surprises you find when clearing the plot. Also this the change of shed plan is a good one too. Look forward to seeing that. Love a good shed. Yes We have to advise the committee re: structure etc reminds me, I’m still waiting on approval for my greenhouse application. It’s been about a month since I put in my request though. Well Im out of allotment action at the moment so I’ll give them a little more time. Dyu have a written plan it may be easier to visualise the plot changes but the your plans seems to keep changing lol. 😂
You're right I am lynne haha! Yes it seems to be working out for the best. I shall have a blueprint to show for next weeks video :) hope you get back to your plot soon. Danny 😊
I love your enthusiasm and energy. I’ve been told to slow down, which is not easy, anyway I can watch you instead. I can always find plenty of little gardening jobs to tinker with.👩🏻🌾👍
Danny I would love to be considered for your chat with the others on the platform 50 odd years of experience thank you for your consideration as always happy gardening Richardx
Hey Richard! Thank you for getting in touch! But I'm ridiculously organised and I've booked every slot up until March! However! Send me an email so I've got a contact and if a slot comes up I'll email you! This year I wanted to get it all setup and booked so I'd not have to worry about empty slots. Danny 🌱
Our allotment site has very strict rules about the size and number of structures you can have on your plot. The restrictions are the same regardless of the size of your plot. I think your allotment is better - submit and proposal for review, makes loads more sense. More admin for them though I suppose? I would love a 20ft tunnel. 😢 enjoy it! 🎊 🎉😊
I understand having huge sheds then then they go to ruin and they leave.. it's a mess for someone else. However some sites are ott with the rules and spoil the fun and creativity. I think a deposit system would be better. £100 when you start and if you leave it a mess, you lose the deposit. Danny 🌱
That delay is giving you more time to think about and plan..excellent! I also love to see how much stuff you are growing at the moment ..I always wonder when someone says, "shall I cover my empty beds for the winter "..what is "an empty bed"?!? 😂
Absolutely! There's so much you can plant..the issue I have is.. I need it out before spring. That's what stops me on times. But I've got loads to plant. I'll probably plant most in the tunnel. We shall see. Exciting times though and PLENTY of content to come over those cold months. Danny 🌱
It will be ok to have the breathing room to get ready for the polytunnel delivery. Always good to be flexible in the planning. You've accomplished so much since getting that 2nd plot!
Pleased about your larger polytunnel, you will soon fill it. I wish I had your enthusiasm though, but perhaps I would if I was having a new polytunnel as mine is full of huge gaps…..had it a long time though. Can’t wait to seeing it being erected . Thanks for inspiring us all to keep on planting.
Hey Marilyn! I think I am a little too enthusiastic haha! I just enjoy It all. Especially the designing and creative part. I'm hoping mine lasts me a long time too. Keep growing! Danny 🌱
Hi Danny funny how things work out with your new tunnel isn't it , if the date was correct would you have had any regrets , anyway I think the dates have helped you make great decision what's the saying do it once do it right lol , good luck when it does go ahead , I can't wait to see the new tunnel in place . On the garlic and overwintering onions front I have my garlic and IOW Fertilizer at the ready and have started off from seeds my senshyu and also some Zebruin shallots about 2 weeks ago and I'm sweating a bit lol , anyway Danny great job as usual keep up with the good work mate 👍
Thanks jim..um probably wouldn't have regretted it, but it's funny how things worked out for the better! I said I won't be doing onion again over winter.. but I am haha!
Oh fantastic! Ann my advice would be build the beds in halves at home while watching telly. Your hands will be frozen doing it at the plot otherwise. I'd like to see pictures once it's done. Danny 🌱
@annthomson-ewers2835 sounds like you're preparing well! Another tip. Treat the boards or they won't last 3 years. I also would suggest getting a bag or two of small peagravel and making a rectangle on the ground, then place the bed down.. so the beds aren't directly touching the soil all the time. The pebbles will help with keeping them dry.. Danny
Danny you've lots going on,no wonder the date mix up,ha ha I do that alot. Fantastic size pollytunnel on the way,you will make use of every bit of it. I think I might have missed this, but where did you put your chickens. Great work, well done. We can't put tunnels, sheds or the likes, and trees have to be mini idea, we knew all this before signing up. I was upmat my plot today, plenty work to do, so yup it's that time of the year. Danny well done ,you are doing a great job.Danny I have strawberries coming threw aswell,it's all weird.
Hey Lorraine. Yes it's a fantastic size! That's okay, the chickens still live on the old grapevine plot..the new owner has them now. With uni and exams this year. I can't guarantee I'd be able to come over everyday. So it wouldn't have been fair on them. It was a very hard decision, but I had to do what was best for me and them. Plus I had no where to put them on the new plots in a short space of time. That's their home too. I'd rather them have that beautiful coop to live out their days than have to squash in somewhere until I made space. Maybe in the future I'll get more... but for now. I really don't have the time to be over everyday. They are doing well though 😊🌱
@TheGrowUpChannel I knew you would do good by them Danny, well done making a good decision for them,I know very hard for you. Sure they are only a few feet away, and in good hands. Best of luck with Uni,fairplay juggling everything.
Actually the blunder was a blessing....definately more sun in the winter is key. More work but that greenhouse moved to the poly space will also look great...open up the F&O plot a bit. I have blooms on one of my blueberry bushes....weird.
That mistake was a blessing really, the new poly tunnel will be epic, just think all all the thingssyou will be able to grow the winters ahead. Next years tomato crop will make up for this years disappointment. 🍅
Wow. Jealous of your 20 foot polytunnel. You definitely have green fingers. Your little brassica plants look so healthy. Difficult to prioritise when so much to do but it will get it done. I go out to do one thing and end up doing half a dozen other jobs. Still tomorrow is another day - rain free hopefully.
Oooh Oct 14th for the Polytunnel. That’s my birthday. Shame it’s on your plot and not mine. 20ft will be a good size - look forward to seeing it. You mentioned about the winter brassicas and cabbages, do you need a glass greenhouse to grow them on? I’ve got a plastic mini greenhouse and wondered if that would work outside - or if it would end up being too cold?!? Lots of changes ahead Danny. We’re lucky here, as we don’t have to get any permission from the committee about structures, it’s only if you’re thinking of big big structures that you need permission. Enjoy Malvern 👍
Haha ! I'm sure you'll have a polytunnel one day mark! I'd germinate the seeds inside on a windowsill. Not heated. Just a windowsill. Then as soon as they surface..place in your plastic greenhouse until big enough. Then pot on and on.. then once big enough. Plant out. Winter brassicas are bred for the winter and are sweeter in taste for it . Danny 🌱
Oh I will be doing that soon .. maybe 2 weeks or so.. I try and hold out just in case we get some warm weather... but I'll go through all the process for you 😊🌱
@swiftytowers66 oh bring it indoors! Pot it up and place it in a porch or conservatory.. or if outside put in a pot, next to a wall that it gets the heat bounced back off the wall. It'll lose all it's leaves and look like a stick . You'll think it's dead . It's not. It'll come back:)
Hi Danny, yes on our allotment site we have to get permission if we want to put up structures over a certain size. Just a tiny shed or polytunnel is ok though. It's only fair as it affects our plot neighbours. I'd not be happy if one of my neighbouring plots puts up a large structure that puts my plot in shade and therefore affects what I can grow there. 🙂
I had to essentially destroy my vegetable garden, the downside of being a tenant with capricious landlords. They wanted my raised beds made of cedar (for free, no less) a long with the perennials and all my soil. My point? Don't feel bad for me, but please fully appreciate what you ARE able to do. There aren't any allotments here.
I wonder how many plot holders would rather have a small farm? I know I want a place big enough to grow what I want to, not restricted. If course that means dawn to dusk work too, drawback. 🙄😅
Hi Danny our rules are no more trees allowed to be planted no ponds no chickens and we have to grow at least 70% for eating. Sheds mustn’t be high or any other structures. It has to be kept tidy and organised. We also know that we probably only have 0 years left to grow as it’s designated building land. Some of the land either end of our plots has already been built on. So I am 70 so 10 years is probably about as much as I will cope with🤣🤣🤣🤣I feel sorry for wildlife as we get foxes. Badgers and a little monk Jack. But beyond our control. 👋🏻😊
Oh Mandy that's made me feel so so sad! Sounds like you have so many rules to dampen down the fun too! I hope you cherish the time you have on your plot. Maybe move it all to your garden afterwards. I hope you continue gardening Mandy. Danny 🌱
Oh goodness me that's really very bad news,l would be deverstated l mean really upset and so many rules.Best out of it and find somewhere else as quickly as possible.Good luck 🤞
That's greedy susie haha the one I'm getting Is more than I need, plus I'd prefer linda to have it and grow plenty of tomatoes 🤣. She deserves it 😊🌱 I may have to freeze the leeks actually
@susiespearing6165 well you've missed a video then! Or you skipped. Ya little skipper 😂😂😂😂 yeahh the lovely Linda's having it .. well she's got it. She has offered me, I can sit inside her new tunnel while I wait 😳🙄😂😂😂😂😂😂 xx
I am the allotment secretary for our plot and I pretty much allow anything as long as it's safe. I've built greenhouses and suchlike myself for my plot and help others to put up their tunnels. The direction of the sun is such that most of the plots dont have issues with sunlight so nothing really to be concerned over, trees on the boundary are more of an issue. It's good to see plots being tidied and changes being made, change is a good thing most of the time. Excellent video!
Wow, go big or go, Danny BIG 😅 20ft, we'll never find you inside there 😂, only from the outside we might spot you moving around in there ❤ Have a great time in Malvern, would love to meet you all 😢
@@TheGrowUpChannel I haven't seen anyone doing as many as you , maybe they don't like the winter crops. Myself I love garlic and red onions so have ordered a load to go in for autumn.
@JacobsonFamilyAllotment maybe! I usually watch other youtubers on a Monday after my video. So I don't get influenced on what to record haha. It's a shame if they dont, but some may not like the weather too. I love the colder weather haha
@@TheGrowUpChannel haha that's a good idea. I feel like it's the start of the growing season now it's planting things for next year. I like the weather too reminds me Christmas is coming
Sometimes mistakes happen for a reason. It will all come together….just be careful not to burnout. I’m having to order some clubroot resistant seeds for next season but at least I have Kale Chard Beets Leeks & PSB in for winter.
Thanks Vanessa. I'm hoping it'll be less time demanding this year. We shall see... oh club root is a pain. Lime the soil a few weeks before too.. helps !
Hi Danny. Did you plant any sweet potatoes this year? I did but they were very thin. But loads but I think my bucket was more root bound. I will use them for soups. When can I sow onions and do I start in trays? I had minimal success this year with onions. I am a container gardener as I live in a flat but I would like to do onions and garlic for next year. I would like your advice please. Love your channel. I am in Bristol
Hey Denise! I did! But God know what's happening to them.. they were planted in the tunnel.. now that's been taken down. I shall dig them up soon to see. You may have bought a carrot shape variety. Some are long and thing. Hey they all mash down to the same, don't they! I'd definitely recommend onions and garlic! Or shallots! Use that soil you've already got from the sweet potatoes. Mix some fresh compost into it & plant some garlic and onions in a few weeks. Onions I guess you could start now.. but I always plant my garlic on Halloween haha thank you so much! Glad you enjoy my little channel 😊🌱
The date mistake sounds like what Bob Ross famously called "a happy little accident". That time to think about how you could set things up sounds like it's going to give you a much better result. Could you transplant the leeks? If they are going to be "wasted" anyway... it might be worth seeing how they'd go? My strawberry plants are showing signs of putting on fruit and we are only just in the first month of Spring... I guess any nice weather will prompt them?
Youre absolutely right. I have considered transplanting the leeks... I do have another bed of leeks, so I do have plenty..I could try and transplant, but there's a risk of them bolting. I may just dig them up and freeze them. They are of decent size now. It is what it is, I guess. We've not had any good weather to prompt the strawberries haha that's the mystery... Danny 🌱
Yeah for delays, huh?! 😅. Sounds like it will be a better location. The greenhouse move is a definite yes to get more sun also. Big win you don’t have to move asparagus. Weird weather in WI, US also. Too much rain all summer and worst jungle like atmosphere with a ton of mosquitoes. We’ve been in drought since 9/1 and last night to today 5.88” of rain 🙄 but boy did we need it. Oh yes, it’s busy time! Perennials to be moved that reseed and catalpa tree is now making itself at home also by seeding everywhere 😅. Seeds to collect, compost bin to make and new polycarbonate and extend the greenhouse. Thinking of a cold frame on GH end, but then it gets close to asparagus 😂. We need to get fall veg in by end of July or beginning August and this recent couple weeks of really hot temps and drought have been a struggle. Not sure when frost will be, but it will be later than the normal 9/25. It’s tricky to know when to plant garlic if it stays too warm. It is weird year as SIL had an apple tree bloom. Look forward to the next update!
I agree. I think it'll be worth all the changes in the end. I know right! It's been a weird growing season all round the world by the sounds of it... but I am hopeful next year will be better. I live in hope. Thank you for watching. Until next week.....
I walked outside and had 5 minutes to myself when I realised. Then a fee youtubers had a fee phonecalls of me ranting HAHA they all laughed 🤣😊 October is better for me, to prepare it all I guess...
It’s all looking and sounding great, Danny!! 😍 The poly tunnel will be worth the wait! ✨ I have got my garlic and onions ready to go in and am thinking about starting my broad beans in cells this year and transferring them rather than direct sowing, just as an experiment. I’m at Malvern on the Sunday 😊🍂 which day are you going?
Hello! Yeah I think so too! Oh great! My garlic is all ready too. Do you have elephant garlic ? If not I can bring some to malvern for you 😊 yeah we are all there on Sunday! Meeting at 12pm for a group photo. Send me an email or instagram.. and I'll keep you updated on the day. Would be great to meet! Danny

Great video Danny, what about moving the Musselburgh leeks elsewhere, they might be okay. Also, when they build the tunnel, I doubt they’ll tip toe around them. All looking very promising for next year. Though and a 20ft tunnel will be a joy, you’ll have so much more space.
Hey chris! Yeah I may do. I have got 30 planted on the other plot , so I'm not stressing. I shall try some and freeze some I think. I'm not worries about it though. 😊 really looking forward to the tunnel. See you thursday! Danny 🌱
Oooops! That’s something that I would do date wise 😂 however everything happens for a reason and it seems like it’s all worked out well plan wise in the end 🌞
Hey, do you have any advice as to where to buy an IBC? I’ve looked at a second hand one but I don’t know what to do about the connections and taps. Any help appreciated from anyone here. Thanks. Your Plot is still looking great, even for autumn. My butternut squash are dying off now but have done better this year than last, considering the weather has been rubbish…. Have a good week!
I purchased my last one from a local salvage yard. Be careful you don't get one that's held cooking oil or any chemicals. Mine was used for fabric softener. So was easy enough to rinse.. 50 times haha I had lovely butternut squash 2 years ago. Failed since. I shall show you next week and then next week ill put in the description the 2 different taps I have for you. Danny 🌱
Hi Danny. Great vlog. Thank you. In answer to your question, yes the council imposes many restrictions on our site such as only one shed and greenhouse, maximum size og 8x6 (2.4 x1.2m). No glass in greenhouse. No polytunnels. No fences. No bonfires/live flames. o fruit cage structures. I find some of the rules rather annoying. I bought one of those small plastic polytunnels in readiness to put on my plot when I acquired it, ready to erect when i cleared the ground, only to find that it wasn't allowed because it was 9ft long and not 8 ft. I did make a special request but was flatly refused. I now have a brand new small polytunnel that I can't use and have lost money on. WE have no water or toilets on site, and loads of empty, unkempt/overgrown plots, so maybe the council needs to review what they are offering. The fees are very competitive though at only £38 pr year for a medium size plot. Happy gardening 🙂
Oh wow. Some sites are more stricter than others I suppose. That's not a bad price. I pay around £24 per plot I think! With water, gated and shop. Danny 🌱
Looking forward to the new tunnel, sounds amazing. We have guidelines to follow regarding sizes of structures, a shed & greenhouse is 8ft x 6ft & polytunnel is 12ft x 8ft all heights 7ft. Only fruit trees allowed
I'm dreading going to my plot tomorrow, when the rain stops. I've not been there for over two weeks, me and hubby have had covid. We've escaped it since it started in 2020 but it finally caught us. It's wiped me out, no energy to do anything but hubby was asymptomatic. I don't know what I'm going to find as no one has been watering in the greenhouse and although I use quadgrows I fear they will have dried up. I'm trying to be stoical and say it doesn't matter at this time of year, but deep down it does, but I've not been able to do anything about it so I just have to get on with it. ( I understand how you felt earlier in the year when you damaged your ribs and also you had covid, seems like everything is out to get us this year. I can't wait to see all your plans come to fruition Danny, exciting times for you.
Oh sorry to hear you've been poorly! Yes it wipes you out for sure! Get well soon and don't worry about the plot. Always next year. Take care Liz. Danny 🌱
Hi Danny , exciting time on your plots, looking forward to seeing the poly tunnel up and running, I'll be harvesting and getting my plot ready for the winter, looking forward to the lives starting again, take care Steve Colwell
@@TheGrowUpChannel I would try and get a freebee from one of the other polytunnel companies as they might supply a smaller tunnel and they can clearly see this channel is on the up 😁.
@ibrstellar1080 noooo! You're a troublemaker ian! Haha I am loyal to first tunnels 😂 if I want a smaller tunnel for the other plot.. in the future.. I know where I'll be going lol
Can't you try to save the leeks by replanting them in some buckets/another bed? Making lists📝 and making a new version 📝the next day/week isn't that part of the joy of growing/ gardening? Wish YOU a joyful visit at Malvern☕🍰🥪 on Sunday📅🍀🌿🍂🏵
I have thought about this... but I'm not sure they'd like the transplant at this stage. I do have another bed full of leeks so I'll manage. I may freeze them if I need to dig them up. Danny 🌱
This year has been mental, Especially in Wales the weather has been so wet its crazy. certainly makes you think mate
Wasn't sure I needed a polytunnel or an ark mate 🤦♂️🤣
Danny glad the polytunnel will be away from the hawthorn good move.
@tassiegirl1991 it was always a bug bear and I couldn't get behind there all the time. Was a like a trap in a saw film 😂
Now you'll have room for a seating/eating area on your fig & olive plot like Linda has!

Thanks Christine! Yeah we are very similar! Thanks for sharing your info. Take care. Danny 🌱
Hi morning xx your allotment.looks so.tropical xx beautiful views as well xx I can't wait to see the flowers you will grow xx🦔🦔🦔🦔🦔
Thank you Susan! Danny 🌱😊⭐️
Exciting times Danny eh 🎉
We'll have to have a double celebration, celebrating yours and ours polytunnels 🥂🍾🥳 😉 😂
Still growing lots of lovely vegetables, herbs, fruit and flowers.
Hope Doug doesn't go picking our Greek Gigantees, yours are crisp and dry already.
Why don't you try and replant your leeks Danny, it's worth a try isn't it. You know me, that's what I would do 😂
Have a great week, see you soon ❤ x
Absolutely! Haha! Plenty to grow linda. We will be there all autumn and winter. With our coats on haha. Danny 🌱
@@TheGrowUpChannelyes no doubt Danny 😂😂😂
I am sure everything to come together for you Danny.
We've all seen the videos! lol
Glad to hear you are still on the mend though. x
Every cloud has a silver lining Danny, simple mistake means a bigger tunnel 👍 I’m looking forward to seeing the build 👍 in OCTOBER 😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣 thanks haha!
Bigger is better in this case 😂 ❤
Ooh snake beans … going to check to see if we have any of those. Gorgeous flower.
Wow such a shuffle 😮don’t do things by half do you 😂
It will all
come good and be tidy in no time 🙂
Haha! Well if I get more beans from the flowers in the greenhouse I may have some extra. To be continued... if not try long yard beans. You can buy them for sure. I'm sure it'll all come together in the end. 😊
@@TheGrowUpChannel sure I have yard long ones!! Just gone through my 30 NEW tomato varieties!! I must be mad 🤣
@TheRightPearPlot must be? ... we know you are 😂
@@TheGrowUpChannel 🤣🤣
Danny 😊
Yes we have to have approval from the comunity. I have Alotment in germany here everything is very strick😂
Thank you for all your video❤❤❤❤❤
I can imagine! Haha lovely to see you have a plot though! Danny 🌱
I love your enthusiasm and energy. I’ve been told to slow down, which is not easy, anyway I can watch you instead. I can always find plenty of little gardening jobs to tinker with.👩🏻🌾👍
Yes slow down! Nurse orders! Haha! Little jobs all add up in the end 😊🌱
Wow! You're taking a lot on over winter. Your plans sound really good. Cannot wait to see the huge politunnel. Will follow with interest. 🌺
Don't I always 🤦♂️😂😂 the polytunnel will be such a benefit to the channel.. especially in winter. Danny 🌱
Danny 🌱
That is immensely sensible! Danny for Prime Minister! 🎉 🙌
Thank you lea! But I feel I've not done enough there tbh. I feel I'm so behind with that plot. Danny 🌱
@@TheGrowUpChannel quite right too Danny lol 👍
I’m in same boat waiting g to die back and changing it around with new metal beds and raising others can’t wait to see yours Danny x🥒🍓
Oh fantastic! Ann my advice would be build the beds in halves at home while watching telly. Your hands will be frozen doing it at the plot otherwise. I'd like to see pictures once it's done. Danny 🌱
@@TheGrowUpChannel yeah I built two in my garage got two more and a few are going to be scaffolding boards yeah I send a few pics when I start x
Danny
@@TheGrowUpChannel brill thank you I will get the gravel and paint thank you x
Danny you've lots going on,no wonder the date mix up,ha ha I do that alot. Fantastic size pollytunnel on the way,you will make use of every bit of it. I think I might have missed this, but where did you put your chickens. Great work, well done.
We can't put tunnels, sheds or the likes, and trees have to be mini idea, we knew all this before signing up. I was upmat my plot today, plenty work to do, so yup it's that time of the year. Danny well done ,you are doing a great job.Danny I have strawberries coming threw aswell,it's all weird.
Danny I was commenting while it was playing so wouldn't muss anything ha ha
@LorraineG123 thanks Lorraine..they are doing well and only round the corner 😊 thank you. Danny ❤️😊
Actually the blunder was a blessing....definately more sun in the winter is key. More work but that greenhouse moved to the poly space will also look great...open up the F&O plot a bit.
I have blooms on one of my blueberry bushes....weird.
You're so right Robin. It was meant to be! Wow blueberry blooms now! Danny 🌱
That mistake was a blessing really, the new poly tunnel will be epic, just think all all the thingssyou will be able to grow the winters ahead. Next years tomato crop will make up for this years disappointment. 🍅
Thanks Jenny! You're sharing my optimism!! There's always next year. Danny 🌱
@@TheGrowUpChannel This year has been so awful on the plots, next year has got to be better to us.
I was thinking to skip this year. But yhea lol free months of the garden ehu ehu nice dream NOT

Hahaha I know right! Imagine that dream 😊🌱😂
Haha! I'm excited but also want it today. Haha. I agree with you! Always tomorrow for jobs :)
Danny 🌱
Thanks for the tip Danny. I’ll give it a go 👍
Please could you show when you put your banana plant to bed for the winter, thanks x
Oh I will be doing that soon .. maybe 2 weeks or so.. I try and hold out just in case we get some warm weather... but I'll go through all the process for you 😊🌱
@@TheGrowUpChannel thanks, it’s my first year with mine 😊
How big is it ?
@@TheGrowUpChannel it’s only a baby, about 1.5-2 foot
@swiftytowers66 oh bring it indoors! Pot it up and place it in a porch or conservatory.. or if outside put in a pot, next to a wall that it gets the heat bounced back off the wall. It'll lose all it's leaves and look like a stick . You'll think it's dead . It's not. It'll come back:)
Oh no 😮 things happen for a reason, even when it’s a mistake. Onwards and upwards to a bigger poly xx
Absolutely ! It'll fly by ! 😃
Hey Angelika. That's another reason why I've decided to put the polytunnel where I am. It doesn't impact my plot neighbour at all. 😊🌱
Oh that's shocking isn't it! Oh I appreciate all I can do, but even that sometimes I get frustrated with as I'd love a huge shed aha
I wonder how many plot holders would rather have a small farm? I know I want a place big enough to grow what I want to, not restricted. If course that means dawn to dusk work too, drawback. 🙄😅
I used to be indecisive, I'm just not sure now 🤣
😂🤣😂🤣
👍👍👍
Thank you 😊🌱
Hi Danny our rules are no more trees allowed to be planted no ponds no chickens and we have to grow at least 70% for eating.
I'd have had two polytunnels 😂Those leeks can be frozen anyway.
That's greedy susie haha the one I'm getting Is more than I need, plus I'd prefer linda to have it and grow plenty of tomatoes 🤣. She deserves it 😊🌱 I may have to freeze the leeks actually

I did lol its mentioned in the video haha. 😂😂😂😂 x
you are seeing it wrong, your ready a month before the deadline. Well prepaired guardening.
Haha I like that !
What a legend and how it should be! If the plots being loved and it's safe. Let them be! Danny 🌱

I love how many things you are growing over winter seen a few other channels that just seem to stop growing things now.
Are they not ? Can I ask why? I prefer winter crops tbh! So it's now my season haha
Totally. I love winter veg and I find the cooler weather is a better time to be building and preparing for next year.
My family has a drinking game every time we hear you say "here" in your cute accent 🤣🥰
😂😂😂 I love that haha!!!!
That 3 weeks will fly by anf and you'll be more than ready when it arrives. Great video mate 😊
Thanks matey..you're right! Plus with this weather. I'm taking each sunny day as a blessing to get it ready.
It may not feel like it but, time is certainly a gift. But I'm excited too and finding it hard to wait longer.
Oh absolutely! I couldn't agree with you more 😊 Danny 🌱
I did the exact same thing. I ordered something and somehow it is arriving October 18th 😅😅
I walked outside and had 5 minutes to myself when I realised. Then a fee youtubers had a fee phonecalls of me ranting HAHA they all laughed 🤣😊 October is better for me, to prepare it all I guess...

Danny 🌱

Oh that's interesting! We strangely don't have a height restriction on polytunnels. Which shocked me haha.
Thank you Stephen. Yes the lives start back Thursday! Danny 🌱
Can't you get another tunnel to go where the old one was aswell 😁.
Now that would be greedy lol
@@TheGrowUpChannel I would try and get a freebee from one of the other polytunnel companies as they might supply a smaller tunnel and they can clearly see this channel is on the up 😁.
@ibrstellar1080 noooo! You're a troublemaker ian! Haha I am loyal to first tunnels 😂 if I want a smaller tunnel for the other plot.. in the future.. I know where I'll be going lol
@@TheGrowUpChannel Maybe Premier Tunnels do a black pipe tubing tunnel 😁😉.
HAHA! Linda has a black polytunnel now 😂👍
Ooppps lol well loving the idea of swapping the greenhouse and poly over, lots more light and a bigger tunnel is a bonus
I'm hoping it'll all come together for sure 🙂
Have a great time at Malvern Danny. All your plans are very exciting.
Thank you Cheryl! Exciting times 😊🌱
Doh to the polytunnel date 🙈
But now your asparagus and herbs can be saved 🎉
I know right 🤣🤣🤦♂️ such a josh thing to do x
And yes asparagus and herbs are saved !
@@TheGrowUpChannel 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 but Josh would be a month late, not early x
@RhysK19 he would.. but he'd have a colourful spreadsheet... " foolproof he says " ...
Always great to hear from you. Those cosmos are beautiful.
Thank you. Glad you like them! 😊
Wow Danny your always full of surprises. I love your always a silver lining ethics. ❤❤❤❤❤🧄🍏
Why thank you very much 😊🌱
Can't you try to save the leeks by replanting them in some buckets/another bed? Making lists📝 and making a new version 📝the next day/week isn't that part of the joy of growing/ gardening?
Wish YOU a joyful visit at Malvern☕🍰🥪 on Sunday📅🍀🌿🍂🏵
I have thought about this... but I'm not sure they'd like the transplant at this stage. I do have another bed full of leeks so I'll manage. I may freeze them if I need to dig them up. Danny 🌱
