Mark Kay, thank you so much for this information! I just had to rescue a hydrangea standard from a huge web of these! It was killing my tree and the mature bugs were eating my leaves to bits! So gross!!! Thanks again from Georgia!!!
OMg, THANK YOU!! I’ve never seen this before and we’re having an infestation in town (urban area) and surrounding towns. Following your suggestions! Again, much appreciated!
I'm in mobile Alabama and these worms are on the pecan tree every freaking year and I'm looking for a way to stop it this year. It's humid here year around and I can not prune every limb on the tree plus I'm a disabled veteran so I have some limitations. I heard that some older folks in the old days use to smoke the pecan trees to keep the worms infestation down. I wonder how that works
all of my trees and both neighbors on either sides trees are covered in webs and everytime we go outside they are everywhere . one of my cars got covered completely in one night
My biggest thing for me is everyday when I go out to my garden they have strings of webs that are hard to see, coming down so I'm heading right back to the deck to get my hand towel to knock out the webs so they are not all over me. SMH. ERR
I have them in my birch trees it is terrible they are dying I am sure? They are 57 years old . Your thoughts if I have 4 birch one bag do they go and eat others close by?
LOL... this response... don’t kill the ants in your kitchen or cockroaches in your closet or termites feasting on your house, or the mosquitoes sucking your kids dry either... they’re trying to live. 🤣
This is the best detailed and thorough video on this subject!! Really good! Thank you so much!!!
Awesome video, so informative!! The best explanation on the net!!! Thank you!!!
This is the best video on the subject that I could find - thank you!

What I find most interesting is when there's hundreds of these things in our backyard with webbing going from the ground up to the tallest limbs.
That is good info. Back in the 80s, I found that white wash, limestone powder, does the trick to keep the worms and moths away.
Thanks for the great info

My oak tree itself, the main tree and the limbs are coated in webs. Not just the end of the limb
They make great fish bait also.

Thank you!
Got some white and black caterpillar/worms on my lemon trees? What can I do? Got some pictures but it won’t give me the option to upload it.
I prune it off tree and throw in the burning burn pit
No expense
The hackberry trees are completely overtaken by the webworms. Out of reach unless I use a sprayer.
Thanks so much! I want these unsightly webs gone!!!
Exactly what I have! I cut some beaches with a lot on them and open the webs. Tree is thanking me. Cherry tree even though I never get Cherry’s lmao
What exactly is the name of ea spray please. I didn't understand or could see the name. Thank You very much I'm infested!!
I shoot the web with wasp spray. I pretty much saturate it.
I'm doing it too🤦🏽♀️ I never saw them on my mulberry tree until today.
??? The wasps eat them.
Very sweet lady.
Don’t kill them there trying to live

@@jaclynmcclure I'm with you Jackie,
So are the trees! And the trees do greater good! Nice sentiment tho, Crystal, you're obviously a caring person!
Oh, please. We will NEVER be able to kill them all. Shall we allow them to kill the trees? They also are trying to live.
