I must have been a bad boy, Santa didnt bring me a new dozer. Lol. Thats a nice tractor. I Have heard very good things on the 700lgp. Very versatile. Merry Christmas, happy new year to you and yours.
Yes they are a very good size tractor for a wide range of applications. I don't think santa had much to do with this. Lol
That's a nice machine. I always love getting new machines, even rentals. Hard to do anything but smile getting in for the first time.
Oh yeah nothing like it!
Thats a nice machine, The sad part is in 25 years it probably won't still be running, when all that emissions and computer crap on it up and dies and the parts are made from unobtainium . Jpaydirts grand kids will be laughing if they have any of those big old cats around. They'll be pushing dirt still, if the old cats of the 40's and 50's are anything to go by now. Thanks for sharing your big day of the new toy. Hope you have a happy new year . Take care
One way or another it will still be running.
It was great to see how happy you were when you were driving up to take delivery, Big Boys and their Big Toys
Lol yeah I love new toys
Nice equipment & good to see folks taking pride in the job and doing it properly. Too many times have i seen lads just going home and not protecting the trench from rain only to have a mess the next day. Nicely done 👍
Well thanks! We try to do what's right even if we fail sometimes.
That smile at that new machine was priceless, new toys make men into little boys, good video
Lol thanks you can't help but smile
Still got the price tag on it like Cousin Mini Pearl's hat. She said she left the price tag on like old country folks would do. Said, "they wuz so poor, when they'd get somethin new they wanted everyone to know, beings so proud of it." ; ) Very nice machine you have there. Hope it serves you well for many years.
Lol they don't even bother putting a price tags on machines like this they just scare people off. That was a tag indicating that the machine had been serviced and was ready to sell.
That is awesome. Trained on dozer in army then get put in a trucking company never seen a dozer the rest of my time in the army. Some times I wish I had went after dozer work when I got out but I liked the trucking. That is a nice one.
Thanks! That's kinda strange, I'm sure you would have liked the dozer deal.
That looks like a nice piece of kit. I hope it works well for y'all and gives you many years of trouble free use.
Thanks Paul I hope it does too.
New Tonka Toys for the Boyz. Dennis, the shit eating grin on your face is priceless. Almost makes me want to get my own Tonka Toyz. :-)
Lol, I know what you mean. Like a kid on Christmas!
I used to cast in place those concrete vaults on pressurized sewer. They had to be formed in such a way that there are no seams, pour all at once to the man hole lid. Very tricky, pour the floor, walls and deck at the same time, then still be able to strip the forms.
Wow that sounds difficult, we have always used precast for everything.
Love the construction videos in addition to farming. Congrats on the new machine. Merry Christmas to you and happy New year.
Awesome! Happy New year!
I have been watching your videos for a good while but I don’t ever remember you grinning so much 😁 Nice Dozer !
Lol new toys make me grin!
So we have to grow up but this guy gets to play in the dirt all day in this beautiful machine? Not fair
It's still work after you do it every day your whole life. haha
Very nice machine. The company I worked for about 10 yrs ago had several JD pieces of equipment. 2 JD 650J’s. They were nice machines, too. I miss running them.
The J series was very good
That thing is a beast 💪should use that for those roads that have the big snow drifts i bet that thing would cut thru it like butter. Good luck with her
Yeah just getting it too the snow drifts at 5mph would take a while.
nothing better then a brand new dozer, that smile showed it
You just can't stop smiling. Looks like a kid in the candy store.
Smile on your face says it all! That is one heck of a Christmas present. :)
😀 you got that right!
Thanks for a Good Sunday morning Video. 12 degrees up here in Wisconsin. Cold is Moving in and no Snow Cover. Frost is setting deep, Nice Christmas present. Super Nice Ride.
Brr that's cold. It been nice and warm here but just keeps raining and raining.
One thing I did like about the cat was it had a pop up backup camera where the control center is. Other than that they're both pretty sweet riggs .
That's always nice
@@DLHFarms wished it wasn't a rental, kinda wanted to keep it!!
Everything is for sell for the right price. Lol
Huh. I always thought LGP stood for large grouser pads. Learn something new everyday. Merry Christmas. Sweet new machine.
Low ground pressure.
We looked at and ran both and we liked the lgp better. We do a lot of work in wet areas also and a lot of slope work.
Ran a new 750 lgp JD ,motor blew at 600 hrs and JD put in a new factory motor in it up in Westford Massachusetts. Weld a plate across the top of the blade to help keep the dirt and rocks from destroying the hydraulic lines. You are lucky, never had GPS on a machine.
Just curious, was it a Deere made engine or some other make?
The problem we've had with the Deere machines is how the AC unit and the rear GPS antenna stick out so far behind the tractor. We've had operators take the antennas completely off and damage the AC condensers on a few of them now.
Cats A/C unit is in the same place
That is a sweet looking Deere Dennis. I would have been like a kid at Christmas waiting to run that. I can't wait to see more of it in use. Thanks for showing it. I had to laugh a bit at your friend not liking it. You should have told him that if Cat would have offered the same kind of setup on one of theirs, they could have made a sale, but, they didn't. (lol)
That's exactly what I told him! Lol he'll be ok
I was a sewer rat with both labor and operator Union cards. Sometimes I miss putting pipe in the ground but then I think of how hard a guy had to work carrying concrete, brick and block, shoveling, swinging a mall..... getting your annual living earned in 6 to 7 months.
I thought I had subscribed a long time ago but apparently not. I haven't been on social media much lately actually trying to farm. LOL
👍
Cat man may grow up someday. Lol. They all make good ones and they all make bad ones, it's just finding the right one for you. That is one sweet dozer!
That's exactly right!
Dang that thing was delivered with a dented grill , id get after somebody to fix that . Thanks man , Happy New year to all y'all ,from over here in the South Central battlefields of Va .
The grill isnt dented it's made that way.
That’s a nice tractor. I just got off a job in Pennsylvania we’re I was running a 1050k side boom on the pipeline. Had like 600 hrs on it when I first got in it. Absolutely loved it. Very operator friendly. And we also had a new 850k dozer I got to play with a little bit. Loved that one too. Been in cats forever but these two machines I would be happy if that’s all I ever ran again. I like em that much. Actually waiting for all that rain to stop so we can get going on the next pipeline near you , our yard is gonna be in Raleigh. Ya made a good purchase I think. I subscribed.
Awesome that pipe line is coming through Rocky Mount VA and they have 2 1050ks sitting on the lot and a bunch of cat stuff interesting to see all the big iron!
Looks like very good all round vision.
Yes it's very good
Nice. One thing about it that yellow tractor will pay for itself a lot faster than a green one. Lol
Lol yeah thats true
JD makes some of the best dozers. easy to run and not much goes wrong with them
I agree 👍
Dennis I know the feeling getting into a new unit When I worked on the railway. They hand you a key and tell you it's yours to operate everyday. I can still smell the new smell now LOL
Its exciting
That’s a slick lookin dozer the chrome stack tops it off!! I’ve ran a 550K before that was a nice dozer pretty smooth machine! Congrats buddy!
Yeah they are smooth machines. Deere has done a good job with third dozers.
After being an equipment operator since the 80s a lot of things have changed but I own both cat and komatsu but have ran case, deere, etc etc. Myself feel the cat is a smoother machine and pushes more. D11 is the largest I've ran besides a 475 komatsu.
They can put a liquid overhaul on a piece of equipment in a few minutes. Most equipment at auctions had a liquid overhaul applied before being put on the lot.
Hmm ok?
Congratulations man it’s nice to see construction company is growing one day your son might run it and you can tell him the story about how you were the first one person to run it
Your right! You know I think about all these videos ive made and how it's going to be fun to go back through them when he is older and show him about the things I've done and we done together that he probably doesn't remember now.
She's a beauty Dennis, good luck to you and your Dad!
Thank you!
Those new 700’s are nice just bought one 3 months ago!!! Our cats all have accu grade integrated gps, John Deere is simpler to use I think and I’ve always been a big fan of John Deere dozers 👍 love that blade shaker too nice to have
Awesome glad to hear that you like it!
Nothing runs like a deer exceptsilly when it has a Cat on its ass
Lol
Nice and quiet inside!
Yes sir 👍
That will be paid for on that big job. Nice machine. Thanks for the videos.
It will definitely help pay for it.
We were setting a structure very similar to that one with a 330 cat, had a chain break causing the others to snap also from about 8 feet off the ground landed on a brand new husqvarna demo saw with less than an hour on it and that saw was literally flat like a pancake. Great video Santa was good to you this year
At least it didn't fall on a person!
I'll say it again, you guys get all the cool toys. lol Dennis you must really love tractors man. Fully grown Tonka kid. love it.
Yeah I'm a tractor man for sure! Still a kid at heart.
@@DLHFarms I really enjoy your vids Dennis. I love to see how people from other parts of the country/world conduct their daily lives and the differences geographically. Would love to talk sometime IF YOU'D EVER TAKE A FRIGGING BREAK. LOL . I'm a very disabled, and very bored Cajun in south Louisiana. God bless you dude. Stay safe, protect your body, it's the only one you have.
Sorry to hear that Roland. I can't take a break there's too much to do! Prayers for you buddy... Keep on watching!
@@DLHFarms o absolutely man. Happy New Year
Dennis if I was you I would put blade horn above that tilt cylinder, if a rock got lodged between the cylinder and blade it most likely damage the cylinder or rod or both it could incorporate the angle cylinders as well, gust a thought, you can see the dirt coming over the top lucky it’s soft stuff not rock. Have a great new year and be safe
I'll take a look at it.
Sweet ride!! Need to take that in to the Dairy Queen and get a float.
Lol yeah I'll try that.
sweet machine. smart having the gps integrated in the rig, people like to steal those after thought units. company here lost the gps off 5 machines in one go.
Oh gosh that would hurt.
You can't beat new stuff. Happy New Year.
Happy new year!
I pray that you and your family have great year.
Thanks same to you!
Dang it boy...now that's a Christmas present, congrats and enjoy!!!
Lol thanks Tim!
Before long you will probably be able to just sit in your truck to operate the tractor. Very nice rig
Or at home.
Why not an eight way blade? Just curious!🧐
well done dennis you deserve a new mans toy, hope dad relies your a really good son and a brillaint worker , love the shows dennis .
brillant driver ...
happy new year m8. xxx john and family uk london.

We all had a wonderful Christmas!
Thanks and Happy New year!
The new Deere dozers are no joke, i've ran a 650k lgp and now i get to run a 700k lgp next week! keep the videos coming from this site i enjoy watching them even if they are long.
Awesome. I think they are right there with Cat. I would never have thought that 15 years ago.
Nice Xmas present Dennis, that should help you do your job more efficient, the look on your face when it showed up was great, I could tell you were excited to get in it and go to work!
Happy New Year Buddy!👍
Lol it's always exciting to get a new toy. Happy New year!
That's 1 beautiful machine! Merry Christmas
Thanks Happy New year!
Haha can’t help but crack a big ol smile 👌. Sick chunk of iron man. Looks like your happy ,
Yeah it's a nice machine 👍
Great video Sir!! I heard on the news record rain fall this year in the Asheville area. You sure have had a wet year in North Carolina!!
I miss working in the trenches!! All I got for Christmas was cookies!!
Lol I guess that's better than getting coal.
DLH Farms , I got that last year!! Lol!! So I must have done something right this year!!
Congratulations on the New dozer!!
Lol well at least your improving.
I live in Buncombe County, and yeah it's been crazy Wet,amazing hay growing weather.....not that great for harvesting it tho
I don't like hydrostatic drive. And I'm not crazy about JD. But I guess I'd be happy to have a new machine no matter what it was. Enjoy yourself.
I like both so I guess we're good.
Congrats on your new toy! Looks very cool!
Thanks 👍
I was really bad I didn't get a nice new toy like that...lol...thanks Dennis
Oh no maybe try to do better next year. Lol
The new machines from Deere are an engineering marvel. l could stare at that machine for days, inch by inch. Don'tcha hate getting it dusted up? Enjoyed these JD 700K videos a lot!
Yeah wish it could stay new forever but it's gotta make our money back.
I just started watching your channel and you have some really great videos and that a really nice JD750 you got there and I didn’t realize how close to home you are to me I am over in SOUTH Boston Virginia . Great videos keep them coming
Welcome to the channel! Yeah your not to far away!
That’s a beautiful machine must of cost a pretty penny! Good luck and safe operating.
Thanks! No it wasn't cheap.
DLH Farms
What like $500K i could only guess. Idk what those are worth
Bout half that
Nice Dozer Dennis Merry Christmas, happy new year to you and you family
Thanks happy New year!
Sweet looking machine Dennis. Congrats.
Thanks!
Hot damn Dennis, ol' Santa Claus was good to you this year!
Lol yeah he sure was
Bet your glad Santa footed the bill for that one! I would hate to have that payment......... Very nice machine.
Lol thanks
Never been on one or seen one up close, but this city boy can tell you, Excavators are the best invention ever, amazing power and utility. Thx 4 the the vid.
Your right they are awesome machines
Dennis Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family!! I love your new Christmas present..
Thanks so much! Happy New year!
Awesome! May God continue to bless you.
Thanks! Same to you!
Merry Christmas. Great video. Good lookin machine. I’d have same grin as You if Santa brought me that😁👍🏼
Lol👍
Good looking dozer. I sit in a 200 most time and love it.
I like our old 200 it's been good to us.
Very nice dozer! Need any mud? We’ve got plenty in southeast Kentucky, lol!
No it's killing us on this new job we can't do anything but lay pipe.
Gorgeous machine I'm jealous😘 I wish I get Christmas presents like that all I get is a shirt. Ive ran both and like Deere over cat but they are both great machines, can't go wrong with either machine.
Yeah I'm not a big fan of Cats Diff steer.
They do have different steering that’s for sure. I wish all the companies that make heavy equipment would make the operation functions all the same. It’s a pain I’ve had to learn many machines cause most guys I work with only like Cat or Deere don’t want to learn any other brands a pain for me. I’ve been in NH Deere Cat Kubota Bobcat Case and Gehl. All have different functions pain.
Yep I know what you mean
I visited John Deere in Waterloo Iowa back around 2003. I was impressed with their engineering quality and technique. They had every competitor's machine and had stripped them down to parts to see if they did anything better. They had a year old 9000 series tractor that had been sold in Ukraine and had basically been run 24/7 ever since, it had over 8,000 hours on it. They made the owner an offer they couldn't refuse and sold them another new tractor. They stripped it to see what was wearing well, or badly. Very impressive place. I was disappointed to hear that the people I was visiting spent a lot of the last 15 years trying to force people to use their dealers for all service and repair by locking parts to the machine with software. "Oh, you have the wrong serial number injection pump, that's not the one I know so I won't start." That sort of crap. They were a very churchy group of people, it's surprising how mean they are. I wouldn't buy from a company that prevented me from repairing equipment. I don't know if they do the same BS with construction equipment?
I've been to some of the Cat and Komatsu plants always was very impressed!

"They were a very churchy group of people, it's surprising how mean they are..." You raise a good point. Never stand between people hiding behind religion and a dollar.
@@Mercmad I have a lot of Mennonites, and Hutterites round here in Canada. The Mennonites are some of the most crooked church goers I've ever seen. A few of the Hutterites are ok, but the rest of them I wouldn't give you the time of day for. They make the crooked Mennonites look good !
Good lookin Machine, hope you and your family had a good Christmas Dennis
Yes we did thank you! Hope you did.
Nice dozer I think it's made in the dubuque iowa plant witch is only about 45 miles from me. Keep up the great videos
Cool deal!
A couple things to say. Firstly. I have zero experience in what you do. But I do have mechanical sense in figuring out how parts fit. So when you put that pipe junction down and there was a gap between the laid pipe and the junction. I was curious how the final connecting pipe was put in. It had to be longer than the edge to edge gap. Secondly. Your Christmas gift is having no trouble pushing though that nice soil which appears to have little rock and a fair amount of clay but not too much clay to make big clumps. It should make a good barrier in blocking the rain runoff to the pit.
We cut a pipe to fit from the pipe you see there to reach into the structure. It goes b inside the structure a few inches and we use bricks and morter to seal around the pipe. On the other end the pipes are designed to fit together and they have a rubber gasket that seals them.
Thank you for your quick reply. Very few do that. I like the DLH videos. I'll be keeping a watch out for new ones. Winter is not over yet. Looking forward to more snow videos, should weather permit. I would subscribe if it were not for the bothersome push notifications. Just remember I'm still watching.
Thanks for watching! Hopefully there will more snow coming soon. If not I've got some other stuff coming.
That’s nice Dennis! I’d rather get that for Christmas than a dumb ole camera!😜😂😂
Lol yeah me too!
Awesome Equipment and work. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks 👍
Nice video and nice rig!
Hey thanks! I've been watching some of your stuff lately. Very good content!
She’s a Beauty!!
Thanks!
Reminded me of - Men, Boys, The price of there toys
Congratulations
Lol yep
Just like a kid with a new toy !!!
Got that right!
Where did all of the snow go? It's always fun to lay pipe. At least with the GPS, it will be easier to keep track of where everything is underground.
Yep thats what's great about Gps you know exactly where everything goes. The snow melted before Christmas.
Now you can park that New Holland and have a real snow plowing machine.
Lol yeah right
What kid wouldn't want to find a toy like that under the tree?? LOL All you needed was a Christmas tree on top of it & wrapped up with a bow on it. LOL Nice looking outfit. I look forward to seeing it moving more dirt in the future. Stay safe.
I'll see if I can get a video or two of it.
Nice machine ... noticed No smoke from the stack ...LOL I guess Tier 4 Final and No DEF ... Happy New Year !!
It has Def
Dennis Can you tell us something about the soil. You are digging deep. One layer is red, the other grey. I see a few large rocks. Is it sand or clay, sea bottom or glacial moraine? The pipe seems to be very large diameter. Is this to act as a restoring during a major rain storm? Is there a catchment pond prior to discharge to natural environment? What slope is called for? How heavy does it rain in your area?
It was clay so deep then turned to sand, there was scattered big rock. Had about 6inch of top soil dug off fist that I put to the right of the ditch. The pipe is 42 inch and it does go to a catch basin.
The pipe is on a 1 percent slope. Sometimes it can rain 5 inches in a couple hours here
Beautiful dozer man
Thanks 👍
Happy New year, a very nice machine. I know u will enjoy it. Those things are expensive, put are worth their money. Enjoy your new toy. Great video also. 🎊🎊🎊🎊🎊
Thanks Ronald! Happy New year!
Congrats on the new toy.. Happy Nude Year...
Nude year? What you got on your mind? Lol
Nice christmas present take of it now maybe you will get bigger one next year lol.
Alway nice to have a new boy toy to play with.
Lol I think this will have to do for a few years.
700k looking good! Big money. Hope it pays for itself in a year!
It will pay for itself over time.
now thats what you need to use snow clearing lol nice bit of kit hope it works out good for you, cat man didnt look happy lol
Lol he'll get over it. Would work good for super deep snow.
12:49 that big ole smile a man and his new toy and looks like all your snow is gone eh and buys brand new dozer didnt even bring it to the shop straight to the job site
Yeah the snow is gone it left pretty rapidly. It can't make money sitting at the shop. Lol
Nice looking machine! Hope it serves you well.
Happy New Year!
Thanks James! Happy New year!
Blade looks coated with Dry Graphite. Nice machine.
Probably was cause it came off easy.
only thing I don't like about a John Deere is the joy sticks, I prefer cat. but those new 750 are nice
Oh hell yeah the best dozer I ever ran but the pipe usually gets set first then the structure is set guess you all are backwards down there.
It's easy this way unless you don't have room to put the pipe in. Stick one end in the structure then bell it up with the strap. Easy
