I think what he meant to say is that the government shouldn’t be involved in the marriage business at all. There are a lot flaws with it such as when your single financially your discriminated against by being forced to pay higher taxes compared to married couples. Another is that in other states the one with the most money has the pay other for the rest of their life’s until they married, which creates this loophole where if you do find a partner you can choose not to get married and still take money from the other person.
@@ianmeadows6941 yea but you do realize not allowing gay people to marry regardless of being the decision of government is discriminatory right? That's what I thought.
@@aaronlee6361 I have no problems with gay people getting married, I just think in general the government should stay out of marriage. Unless someone is trying to form a union between an adult & child or human & animal than they should intervene.
@@ianmeadows6941 I wasn't accusing you of not being in support of gay marriage (but I will admit my comment seemed more aggressive than intended, sorry.) I was trying to bring back the point that either way its discrimination with all of these tax benefits and stuff tend to go a bit off topic.
@@ianmeadows6941 although I would like a clearer definition of what you call discrimination. If married couple benefit from their marriage, why is that discrimination against single populace? Why is it not just a benefit of marriage? Or is it both? My definition of discrimination leans more towards something you can't control, as you do have some agency over whom you're (legally) married to.
The US allows in more legal immigrants than any other country in the world. The wall and other measures are designed to prevent illegal immigration. There's a difference.
@Elena Lina Then why do many republicans make it a point to say that "they should've come in legally."? Also, 'we should take in the best'.. Your opinion might be biased because you are favored by the system and you benefit from it. If Americans only want STEM field immigrants, why did so many people panic when news broke out that the agricultural industry might lose profitability due to the immigration laws?

This would be better because now it would be personal and show what they truly feel because I’ve heard people say “ I don’t mind the lgbt+ as long as it’s not my family/kids”
Well, marriage was created by religion taken over by the government for their benefit. The man believes in what his religion says so he has the right to have the opinion they shouldn’t marry.
It is actually valid. Shes asking why are illegal immigrants who aren’t paying taxes gain more from the country than she does when shes a citizen who pays taxes

Jack Stroup gay rights has been achieved? In more than ten states people still can be fired because they are gay. Now trump want to ban transgender from the military. Just because gay marriage is legal doesn’t mean that suddenly the entire country accept lgbt people as normal citizens you know...
the thing that bothers me the most about the man’s statement was that he considered gay rights outside of the rights of life liberty and the pursuit of happiness. the lgbtq community is still fighting because it’s still regarded differently than the rest of the population. in some cases anti-lgbtq mesures can be “justified” like with the trans people in the military but if we were to apply the same situation to the population as a whole people wouldn’t be so ok with it. and of course there’s going to be extremists in every community but as a general rule the community is fighting more normalization. because everything the community does is discussed simply because it isn’t the norm.

@@devinpauze1899I don't know what kind of mindset that comes from. First of all, college ask students for documentation in the application process. Climate should not be a matter of 'non-existent' until proven otherwise. There results clearly indicate the high high high probability of the planet going seriously haywire if we as humans don't try to do better. Us living here on this beautiful planet is a gift and we are letting it go to waste because we cannot come together. It just makes you lose faith in humanity.
Donald Trump / most Trump supporters believe in climate change, but it’s the belief that it isn’t because of increased amounts of CO2 released into the atmosphere. Since Ice caps on other planets such as mars and Jupiter are melting as well, it is believed that it’s he suns cycle (just like has it’s always been, even during the mini ice age) and CO2 in the atmosphere always increases after Temperature increases. No only 40% of illegals enter by over staying their visas and legal immigration is great for this country but not illegal immigration, bc it totals up to 120 billion dollars a year to care for illegals, i think a 5 billion dollar wall that’s would keep out up to 60% of illegals would save us a lot of tax payer dollars

not the black guy saying he wants equal rights for gay people but then says they shouldn’t be able to marry-
I think what he meant to say is that the government shouldn’t be involved in the marriage business at all.

Jack Stroup gay rights has been achieved? In more than ten states people still can be fired because they are gay. Now trump want to ban transgender from the military. Just because gay marriage is legal doesn’t mean that suddenly the entire country accept lgbt people as normal citizens you know...
Just a community
the thing that bothers me the most about the man’s statement was that he considered gay rights outside of the rights of life liberty and the pursuit of happiness. the lgbtq community is still fighting because it’s still regarded differently than the rest of the population. in some cases anti-lgbtq mesures can be “justified” like with the trans people in the military but if we were to apply the same situation to the population as a whole people wouldn’t be so ok with it. and of course there’s going to be extremists in every community but as a general rule the community is fighting more normalization. because everything the community does is discussed simply because it isn’t the norm.

NASA study in late 2017- mass gains of ice sheets greater than losses
@@lol-pf9dr This is based on the study of one scientist from 2015, which is already dis-proven (even by himself). The latest results (from a collaboration of 80 something scientists worldwide combining and calculating all their latest data) show clearly that there are enormous ice losses, which are only growing each year.
So yes, there could be human effect on climate change in the world, but many who don’t think there is, think it’s just the sun’s cycle.

Stephanie Cummings it’s called intellectual diversity, once you’ve seen both sides of an argument fully, and rationalize your position based on the facts, believe it or not, you can’t help the way you think! It’s another part of your identity but sadly people have been brainwashed into regurgitating information they’ve been told to think rather than rationalizing their own opinions and I believe that can happen on both sides, even though I see it happen more on the left. Some people don’t even know what they would intellectually identify as because they don’t even research their positions, it comes from a fear of being wrong and just saying what sounds right
