23-year-old hustle here! College grad, full-time salesman, and now Baltimore's newest junk removal king (unofficial title, of course). Launched this cleaning side project with just a U-Haul trailer and some muscle. Loving the workout, the sales pitch practice, and seeing my city shine again. Next stop: commercial contracts and a subscription service for Baltimore's bulk-hauling needs. Big thanks to you for inspiring the leap!
I have $170K in NVIDIA right now. I only got into stocks to try and make anything to help afford some medical infusion treatment that I need. I know it’s a risky game especially for someone like me who isn’t focusing hard on the market. I just don't want to make any wrong move. Do I hold or sell and buy back? Genuinely asking for any advice.
Well all i know is that you cannot go wrong taking profit at near high. No one ever went broke taking a 10% loss. It's best if you consult with a fiduciary advisor to get informed buying & selling decisions.
You have a very valid point, I started investing on my own and for a long time, the market was really ripping me off. I decided to hire a CFA, even though I was skeptical at first, and I beat the market by more than 14.3%. I thought it was a fluke until it happened two years in a row, and so I’ve been sticking to investing via an advisor.
Sophia Nadene Morgan is the licensed advisor I use. Just research the name online. You'd find necessary details to work with and set up an appointment.
Certainly, there are a handful of experts in the field. I've experimented with a few over the past years, but I've stuck with Julianne Iwersen-Niemann for about five years now, and her performance has been consistently impressive. She’s quite known in her field, look-her up.
This is the most detailed and practical business management video I've seen on this platform. Truly more useful than most college courses. Thank you Codie, this is brilliant.
This is sound advice. I started out mowing lawns until eventually I had 3 trucks. All while putting myself through College. Once again it all resonates and you can adapt and transfer these ideas to your current field. I'm now a real estate agent and now I'm getting back to what made me successful by implementing the same idead, concepts and strategies that worked before. Thankfully you don't have to hunt all over the internet for this information as Cody delivers it to you for FREE! Thank you Cody.
It's sad how difficult things have become in the present generation. I was wondering how to utilise some money I had. I used some of it for e-commerce business, but that sank. I'm thinking of how to use what's left to invest, but I don't really know which way to go.
I understand how you feel. It's a little bit difficult to navigate things these days. You don't wanna lose whatever is left. I may suggest that you find a financial advisor who could give you thorough advice on how to go if you want to go the investment route. Also, the fact your business failed doesn't mean you should give up.
That's right. I have tried many failed businesses and it's just a step further. Don't despair. But to add, if you do decide to use a financial advisor, it's best you use someone who understands your special needs and can work with you. I learnt this from experience before finally finding one I can stick with. Now I make six figures from my investments alone, and even more from my businesses.
I just googled her and I'm really impressed with her credentials; I reached out to her since I need all the assistance I can get. I just scheduled a caII.
I've been running a window cleaning company for years. My charge out was up to $400 an hour 10 years ago with 90% margin. 100% referral work but started door knocking. It's magic.
Thanks for the question. No you don't have to have it here. I did for a number of years but stopped. The company is an LLC and all my wealth is secured in other entities. I'm not worth suing. I'm happy to cover anything I break and the glass you're working on isn't covered by the business insurance anyway. In New Zealand personal injury is covered by a government system where you can choose a set amount of cover or 1% of gross profit. if a business is negligent the government insurance company can sue me but once again I don't own anything. They could close the busyness though but i would take the IP and client list and start again or sell it under a different company. @@lovelace1856
Well, depends on where you live. In the US and Canada you want to have that; 1 broken window and your customer will sue you for $10 million because he stepped on a spec of glass and is now in disability for the rest of his or her life... In Europe not so much, we tend to still have some decency left in our system although it is fading
Cody is awesome, but her real hustle isn’t laundry mat or car wash or else she wouldn’t be on social media. Her ACTUAL MAIN hustle is selling hope on social media.
I agree but it's the thinking like an entrepreneur that I appreciate with this video. I wouldn't have thought to categorize the skills vs $ in a quad that way. Thinking like a an entrepreneur is half the battle. Once that is accomplished I think you can make a business out of anything.
Her "hope" is based on solid business principles and ideas that put a person back in control of the future (being their own boss). She's not hyping anything. She's helping people think how they can use what they have money/skills and leverage that into something better than working for someone else. Not everyone who watches will take advantage of the information, but it's still good information. She's not a snake oil salesman.
Her advice is spot on and would take people years to accumulate on their own. Thank you Codie for caring about the small business owner and bootstrapping people out there.
Notice she isn’t charging you for the info. She was a multi millionaire before the UA-cam stuff. She gives great info and could be charging for it but she is helping out the owner who wants to grow. She is also growing her brand around what she knows so it is smart. She is not selling hope. She is selling how to turn Hope into reality. She is not the Amazon Fulfillment UA-camr.
Definitely is true to a point. Same with all the rest of the people talking about business ideas. They get millions of views and just make another video which garners millions of views lol. Half the time also there are just general details given that I already know or could have found out very easily.
there's a book called whispers of manifestation on borlest , and it talks about how using some secret tehniques you can attract almost everything in life it's not some bullshit law of attraction, it's the real deal
*I learned how to become a Cad Programmer in under 3 months and now I can get a job any place in the USA for $85.00 an hour. Today I bring home $285,000.000 a year with over time PLUS "Head-Hunters" try to steal me away from my company 2 or 3 times a month. Few people want to learn as it looks SO hard but it's really easy.*
Might not need a license but one part you missed is Insurance. Good insurance is expensive so people please make sure you understand the cost of this item before determining price. We all know this one, but if you are a member or know someone of a "church", it's is a great place to help build clients at the start. Churches will generally assist via word of mouth and if you offer services free a few times to the church they will really push your business. Good luck and GO!
Hey Codie, Love your work. For landscaping, remind your viewers that if they engage in services over and beyond simple mowing and trimming, in many states you have a limit to what you can do in landscaping without having a license.
I am currently in my 50s and This is no time to taper retirement savings. I want to max out my retirement contributions and I also have another $200k in a savings account that i want to invest in a non-retirement account. Where should I invest it now?
Safest approach i feel to tackle it is to diversify investments. By spreading investments across different asset classes, like bonds, and international stocks, they can reduce the impact of a market meltdown. its important to seek the guidance of an expert
A good number of people discredit the effectiveness of financial advisors in exploring new markets, but over the past 10years I’ve had a financial advisor consistently restructure and diversify my portfolio/expenses and I’ve made over $1.2m in gains… might not be a lot but i'm financially secure.
'Grace Adams Cook' , is the licensed advisor I use. Just research the name. You’d find necessary details to work with a correspondence to set up an appointment.
Never forget that honesty and integrity are also 'skills', and without them you will struggle. Funny thing... when I started my landscaping business 25 years ago I had to rent a lawnmower, but after 20 years when I had to shut down when my son got sick, my last job was creating a $30,000 garden :) Just do it.
I remember Cody talking about starting a “dirty” business. After my high schooler (senior) was constantly let down my his PT employers and his shifts kept getting cut, he started a car detailing business. He’s already done 5 cars with two more scheduled. A friend of mine makes shea butter soap and sells them on TikTok and makes bank.
Also remember, you should have for Landscaping - License - Bonded & Insured! Also do an LLC, with your state, free to do up yourself, just a fee to the state! Whatever you decide for a business, make sure you check your State and City in what you need to have for that business.
Great comment. There are too many ignorant people that don’t understand the benefits of an LLC and the required state licensure and insurance. Moreover, they don’t understand the risks of not having those things.
This is one of the channels that gave me the courage to start my UA-cam channel 9 months ago about self development. Now I have 1,765 subs and > 1k hours of watch time. I know it’s not comparable with others but I’m still proud I started because I’ve been learning so many lessons that I could haven’t learned without getting started in the 1st place.
@@JoyfulJenn Whoever you are, I don't know you personally but I can say that you're one of the non-judgmental and open-minded people who is not fixated on tangible or external factors in order to learn from someone like me. Just because someone doesn't have a piece of paper as a credential, doesn't mean that person is not entitled to share personal experiences with the hope & intention to inspire others. Keep up with whatever it is that you're doing to improve mankind or improving your life even to a slight degree each day. This is just one part of a bigger puzzle for creating my UA-cam channel about holistic health. I literally could have died back when I was 14 years old due to major depression but here I am right now replying to you, a UA-camr, who's full of fulfillment and dedication to help others to be a better version of themselves. I ain't better than anyone else but my old self. That's all that really makes this UA-cam thing more meaningful and enjoyable. Thanks so much for your support! @@AlwaysHereAndNow Thank you! What I really focus on is the value of the content and what I’m truly passionate about while helping others! I'm glad that I'm foolish enough to believe that I can actually start making money through my passions. I've never thought that I'd be able to gain 1K subs faster. I can't imagine how many opportunities could have been wasted if I didn't have courage to go after them. That includes having this channel, being in a management role, having the people who actually care about me for who I am, freelance gigs, being an ambassador in a creative community and now I'm also planning on honing my public speaking skills through joining a toastmaster club and these all happened in 2023. It started with writing them all down on a piece of paper. A paper that serves as a reminder for me to go after what I want even through hard times. I'm not bragging about my accomplishments but simply hoping that this message can also inspire others to believe in themselves.
what is skill? industry knowledge? people management? cash/working capital management? expenses management? Sourcing? i ve seen CEOs moving across various industries as they understand business fundamentals and managing people (which is pretty much constant in all businesses)
Just found your channel today! After working the same job for many years and no real pay increase I’ve had enough. I always wanted to start a business but my mindset got in the way. Thank you for giving me some concrete tips on how to start and scale❤
One of the best videos I've seen - full of highly useful information, presented in an easy to understand but not overly simplified way. Truly inspiring and no bullshit! Thank you, Codie, for this and your other content. You bring a lot of value. Best of luck!
Great Video! I put myself through college with a mobile car detailing gig. We would go to companies and ask the owner if we could approach their employees and use their water. The owner would get a free wash, and we wound up with multiple full details at the company. Detailing boats is even better if you live near a lake! Great way to make good extra cash!
Loved this video. I’ve been an entrepreneur since I was 19, having owned several different businesses, including a SaaS company for the past 5 years. These are some great practical pieces of advice. Great job putting this video together and providing such valuable free content. So many people just brag about their success without giving any practical advice, but you don’t - so thank you!
This is such high value content. Such few videos give actual steps and teach actual skills. So grateful for you Cody. Planning to be rich and influential enough in 3 years to thank you in person for all this.
Just met you and Chris in elevator at airport… if there would’ve been more time… thx for being so gracious. Merry Christmas 🎄and may 2024 prove abundant, prosperous, with peace and health 🙏.
I was a stay at home mom during the pandemic. Didn’t want to go back to a regular job and then a friend who cleaned homes was looking for a change and handed me her clients. It checked all the boxes I wanted. Only $500 to get started because I needed a good vacuum. And I was able to buy that after doing my first job cash with the tiny vacuum I had. Been doing this for the last 4.5yrs now and have learned so much/ gained much more confidence and perspective around service based businesses. The need in my area just keeps climbing. I look around and tell people service is where it’s at! But very few people want to get into it or even work at all. The ones who are moving on the opportunity are building amazing businesses!
I always seems to get hooked upon watching your videos up to the end sharing to us significantly helpful techniques improving the way modern livelihood works. Keep it up Ms. Codie!🎉
Hi Codie I started watching your videos 8mos ago followed your advices and now I run multiple businesses that run on its own. Im now retired at 37 and enjoying what life has to offer and always keeping an eye out for oppurtunities. Thank you so much.
Codie, you should look into farming business and operations so folks can get a breakdown of what all is involved. There is a big shift in folks wanting to start their own homestead and a lot will struggle to figure out how to scale
Codie, great job on interview with the ex software executive, who now owns a trash/hauling business. You ask those hard-hitting questions, not taught in business theory; the way to view a business in 3-4-10 years from now; and most importantly, what motivates one to go forward and start. You really have to Believe in Yourself! Thank you. Looking forward to seeing more content!
Great content. I wish you can give me some advice on how to scale or run my business more efficiently. I have no background in business but I seem to make it work. More tips will be helpful. Thank you
I had learnt something very interesting from a successfull businessman in Thailand and he stressed no risk (no failure) in any business eventually of course after working on it for a while to reach this point and then scale cautiously wit no risk. Great video Codie. Love the scale up part which is helpful for any entrepreneur to know the whole possibility before starting. Investing in real knowledge (for free or little money if possible) with real work / practice will help reducing risk and guide you into the right direction without spending a lot of money. I am over 60. Can you do interesting and unique videos if possible on passive income beside dividend stocks/etf, digital products etc.?
Service business, trash bin cleaner. They have a dedicated truck to buy. It will wash 2 bins with limited water waste. Slap your logos on the truck . Drive thru the neighborhoods to advertise.
Codie I found you not too long ago and my God did I study you and others on here to learn... with my adhd I am lucky to find something interesting and study like crazy.... you changed my life for myself and my daughters. ❤
I just started a 360 Photo Booth business in New Braunfels TX. The information on this video has helped me think outside the box. Thank you for showing us these process. :)
Cody. You're brilliant. I appreciate the work and straight to the point information put into this video. I am definitely saving it for the future in case I need to reinvent myself. Thanks!
you inspire me on a level 10. i just moved to a new city and I'm looking forward to implementing this. any tip on making the most of building my network and influence
Hi Codie, this business formulation or specimen with detailed analysis, references and referrals is the best one available out there. I have not seen anything like this, so categorized and detailed specific anywhere on UA-cam or the web recently. Oh my goodness, that was very impressive. I like you more after watching this. I just pick a couple of ideas from it that I will speak to you about it if you will give me the chance. Stay tuned. .... KD
I was just laid off recently. Lucky for me I had started a financial services business selling other companies' products. Only making 1k/month, but its better than nothing. Using this time with a severance package worth about 12 weeks of income to focus on building my business. Good idea to start a podcast, I could start one explaining what I did to earn the $1k/month on the side.
Mathematically quadrants explained here is not perfect. Basically LL should come in bottom-left and not top-left. However, I get the point. Thanks for sharing this info & you sound very authentic 🎉
This was so straightforward, intelligent, informative and enjoyable to watch. A ton of useable gold nuggets. I’m disappointed in the algorithm for waiting till almost a million subs to send it to me. Codie feels like a personal trainer for business. Not like I’ve seen from any other creator or course seller. Excited to watch more, nice work!
You just put years of learning in one video. I’ve spent years learning this… you are amazing putting this out there for the people just starting. I love it!
Love it! Everyone says do not leave your job to start your own. Do you agree? Plz advise I would love to leave mine to get use of the time for establishing my design service biz
Wow, congratulations on your impressive investment success! Your discipline and focus on delayed gratification is truly inspiring. I'm curious, what are some of the key factors that you consider when making investment decisions? Do you have any tips for those of us who are just starting to dip our toes into the world of investing? Thanks for sharing your story!
Cody, I love your content. We used it to buy a boring business but I do have a caveat to certain businesses. We bought a reputable, high volume service business a few months ago. Every week I get a call from someone who had an inexperienced person do damage to their house or property because they were winging it with dangerous equipment. We were lucky to buy a business with tenured staff but those who are just starting should be really careful about which boring business they start or purchase.
Right, My research and my personal experience with damages to property or injuries, you need a solid corporation to protect yourself and insurance, very expensive if staring off.
My goal next year is to be more serious and consistent with my investments I’ve been investing since I was 22 in college and I’m 27 now about to graduate with a bachelor degree next year in the spring. 2024 is going to be more serous for me investing consistently for the long term. starting to save for a house down payment. I want to invest more than $25k, but I'm not sure on how to mitigate risk
Lots of People are sitting on large stockpiles of cash ready to time the market they’ll miss the mark and pile in late either way people that bought early will win
@warner962 I'm looking to give stocks another shot after staying on the sidelines since the pandemic and was advised to diversify between stocks and bonds, since they can help hedge against inflation, but can't tell which is safer at this point, or am I better off just holding cash?
Exactly what I’m doing again this week. The smartest thing I’ve ever done was having 30% in cash to buy on the way down in 2021. It hurt watching 30-40% discounts drop to 50, but grabbing Google, NVDIA, Apple, and others near the bottom has paid off. I love the bull outlook but I’m not confident to should hold all equities.
will definitely be speaking with her. Goal for 2024: bump up my weekly investment contributions Along with paying off my car and starting to save for a house down payment. After cleaning up my finances this year, along with having a low cost of living, I'm going to go heavy in my investments
Excellent info. My problem is when it starts dropping I think it's going to keep dropping for awhile and I wait so I can get the best deal. Next thing I know, it's back up again. I'm retired so don't have as much time but don't need the money for at least ten years or so. Gets tricky for me
I love how you are also creating the bigger business move from the small. Business chain of effect that actually works and everyone gets decent piece. ❤ enjoyable content 🙏🏻❤️
I aim to empower individuals to begin their journey and succeed despite initial constraints. Success doesn't always require vast resources or expertise; it often thrives on determination, resourcefulness, and a willingness to learn and adapt along the way. Thanks for this very informative and helpful video. Just subscribed to your channel 👌
Charging more saved my neck. The reviews were mostly about how good and efficient we were and occasionally they would give us 4.5 stars because we're expensive. People would call and ask for my service but also to lower the price and I would for them.
If people get laid off because of a recession. Not everyone will be able to afford a service. People will want to wash their car to save money. Or cut their own lawn, etc. But again, I do believe this is the way to survive to start a service business.
Thanks Codie. Used your advice to buy a company and a year later- I can say it was a success. Great value in your videos! Inspirational content! Cheers!
I’m so excited I found your channel Codie. I was researching a tips for a salon business we may purchase but I currently have a lawn and landscape business. This content is gold for me!! Thank you! I’d sub again and like 👍🏻 all day if it would let me so you get paid.
I do realize you don't need licensing but you need to be a registered company/business WITH insurance. I looked into it and the cleaning business, landscaping... That reg. plus, insurance is far more than 500 start up.
Codie, I love your content and the amazing and very useful stuff you put on the internet. Thank you so much! Do you happen to have a European version of all of these? 😅 I really want to do similar things but a lot of the things are very specific to US, so I am having difficulty applying the deal structures and types of businesses, let's say to a German or French market. Do you also do similar things abroad?
Great content! Thanks for creating and sharing it. They should teach our kids in high school! This is easy to learn, and you don't need to attend a business school. Yet, generations leave high school unprepared to be entrepreneurs and business owners (with exceptions).
Great content, really informative, thank you. Questions though. During a market downturn, where people will want to cut their spending, are they really going to hire cleaners and lawn-mowers when they can save and do it themselves? Also, I'd love to think creatively about business ideas that are not only recession-proof but also pandemic-proof. Home cleaners, for example, were not being let into people's homes during the peak of the pandemic so clearly would have lost money during that time...businesses who were able to pivot quickly and offer services via the internet, thrived...(to be clear: this is not to incite discussion with those who thought the pandemic was fake, my question is strictly business). Thanks again! 🌻
Wow! I'm impressed! Thanks for such a great if not the best content on the subject! The concept of the quadrant and PROMISE and BRRT have my brains changing gears! Thanks! You sound very professional!
i am a high skilled tech consultant, there are some issues with a) number or hours you can bill b) you need to explain value you bring to the client c) overhead is high ( in california)
I'm all for starting a business. Even if you fail it's going to give a much better picture of how to valuate them later. And should you fail, don't run to another sector, stay in your sector until you get it right. This part a lot of people get wrong. You're going to make plenty of mistakes early on but that's ok, it takes years to refine a process then you eventually get to a place you can scale.
For some reason, today I completely understand what you've been talking about... I've watched your videos before but I didn't get it until today. THANK GOD!
There's a great need of help for seniors whose physical limitations threaten their ability to remain in their own home. They would gladly pay for someone to run errands, take out trash, wash windows, provide a ride to an appointment, etc., etc. The problem is finding workers. Young people don't like physical work and $20 an hour doesn't tempt them.
I agree with the work force assessment. I honestly had someone tell my wife to her face on day 1 "I didn't realize the work would be so hard". That was for a grill cook, literally a burger flipper. This is where a proper path to legal work visas for immigrants makes the most sense, as our soft children aren't going to slaughter the chickens, shovel the crap, or even tolerate roofing or lawn care.
I don't think $20 per hour should tempt anyone unless they're desperate. That isn't enough meat on the bone in 2024. Construction workers would have to be earning $135 per hour to still have the purchasing power they had in the 1970s.
@@georgehenry8391this. I have 4 kids and we live in a townhouse community with a lot of retired adults. There is a grocery store and some restaurants walking distance. My 15 and 12 year olds have made about that amount doing these kinds of things for the elderly in our neighborhood. They’ve gotten groceries, made copies at the Fed Ex place near us, watered gardens, picked up restaurant orders and more.
Okay. So I’m halfway through the video and I have already decided that I will subscribe. Good pace, relevant and interesting ad, content swings from simple to educational, realistic and not “guruish,” and did I say great pacing.
Not sure people are going to prioritize getting their car detailed, their house cleaned, and having someone mow their lawn if they are trying to budget for gas and groceries. Perhaps in bigger or wealthier areas though.
Thats why having a service based business needs to find a need an actual need. But like someone said she started selling saop. are you really ganna make soap yourself? Or bread? Or let's say if you need invitations for a wedding? What about.....linen.....if you open a store where you sell the products people need lets say at a good price....what about making a garden and selling the excess.....again none of these are million doller store but perhaps can earn a side hustle to support or supplement the income....
Codie, you're awesome. I don't think you needed the 45 seconds fear mongering, you're smarter than that. The content stands alone of good business ideas for people to pursue. Keep up the good videos!
This stuff about percentages, offering sales deals, subscription/loyalty programs, etc. This is very useful. You should make a separate ebook or PPT with this kind of info.. Like something they wont teach you in a business class but you need to know.
Thanks so much for this video! My brain is already full halfway through. I currently run a (mostly online) test prep tutoring business that I'm looking to 10x in the next 18 months, so this advice is extraordinarily helpful.

And just like the market became flooded with umpteen lawn mowing business’ and house cleaning outfits in every suburb. You may not be any better off but Codie is laughing all the way to the bank. She makes her money on speaking on her business buying idea.
Service, retail and restaurants is like buying another full time job. Hard to scale (no one wants to work there for minimum wage so not stable workforce), so the owner is also the operator. No thanks.
Pay more than minimum wage. You wouldn't want someone that's only worth minimum anyway. Especially after all this inflation. Pay them in some other ways as well. Money isn't the only thing people care about or reason they work at particular places. 😊
Service with a high skill job can easily bring 80-160/hour. Retail can be changed to online biz with no physical inventory you touch. Restaurants could be food trucks or ghost kitchens.

Thank you for the advice. When you say financial advisor, are you talking about hedge funds? And how do I get in touch with one?
Rebecca Nassar Dunne is the licensed advisor I use. Just search the name. You’d find necessary details to work with to set up an appointment.

It's magic.
What about liability insurance? Do you have to have that to start?
Absolutely. You have to build your business practice for the market you live in. @@johnenglish8126
Happy for you. Well done! I am starting my luxury chauffeuring company from next month.
I expected another “follow your dreams” speech. You have the head for business that understands it’s about money first. Good stuff.
there's a book called whispers of manifestation on borlest , and it talks about how using some secret tehniques you can attract almost everything in life it's not some bullshit law of attraction, it's the real deal
That is quite impressive! Do you already have some type of relevant degree? Engineering or programming? How’d you learn CAD programming?
Where did you learn how to CAD?
You need an engineering degree, but afterwards you can learn Cad
Might not need a license but one part you missed is Insurance. Good insurance is expensive so people please make sure you understand the cost of this item before determining price.
We all know this one, but if you are a member or know someone of a "church", it's is a great place to help build clients at the start.
Churches will generally assist via word of mouth and if you offer services free a few times to the church they will really push your business.
Good luck and GO!
Hey Codie,
Love your work.
I’ve been looking to switch to an advisor for a while now. Any help pointing me to who your advisor is?
'Grace Adams Cook' , is the licensed advisor I use. Just research the name. You’d find necessary details to work with a correspondence to set up an appointment.
Thank you for the lead. I searched her up, and I have sent her an email. I hope she gets back to me soon.
Never forget that honesty and integrity are also 'skills', and without them you will struggle.
Funny thing... when I started my landscaping business 25 years ago I had to rent a lawnmower, but after 20 years when I had to shut down when my son got sick, my last job was creating a $30,000 garden :)
Just do it.
God bless man, hoping your son is all better now. Are you back in it or doing something else?
True. Hard to find honest and accountable people so if you can do that and customer like it business will come.
I remember Cody talking about starting a “dirty” business. After my high schooler (senior) was constantly let down my his PT employers and his shifts kept getting cut, he started a car detailing business. He’s already done 5 cars with two more scheduled. A friend of mine makes shea butter soap and sells them on TikTok and makes bank.
whats the soap brand

Also remember, you should have for Landscaping - License - Bonded & Insured! Also do an LLC, with your state, free to do up yourself, just a fee to the state! Whatever you decide for a business, make sure you check your State and City in what you need to have for that business.
Great comment. There are too many ignorant people that don’t understand the benefits of an LLC and the required state licensure and insurance. Moreover, they don’t understand the risks of not having those things.
do you need insurance to wash windows? What if something breaks?@Tastetress
So true! Nothing replaces experience. Keep it up!
Well done! Keep going! 🥳
Thanks for sharing! That is phenomenal!

Only thing I would clarify is inflation is not simple interest, it is continuously compounded interest. That compounding really adds up fast.

I'd love to hear about it! Come back and share when you do the podcast
before you know it you will be sailing through making 4 then 5 then 10k a month. Keep at it!
Literally the most useful YT video I have ever seen. Thank you!

Charging more saved my neck. The reviews were mostly about how good and efficient we were and occasionally they would give us 4.5 stars because we're expensive. People would call and ask for my service but also to lower the price and I would for them.
this is hands down the best, ost comprehensive, and easy-to-understand video on businesses I have seen, ever! Thank you :)
A matrix is based on X & Y axis similar to a graph. Top right quadrant should be high $ high skill, etc. Bottom left quadrant is low $ low skill
If people get laid off because of a recession. Not everyone will be able to afford a service. People will want to wash their car to save money. Or cut their own lawn, etc. But again, I do believe this is the way to survive to start a service business.
Great video ever to start own business. Now i have two ideas that will work for me. One is old that got cleared and one new from your video. Thanks
Thanks Codie. Used your advice to buy a company and a year later- I can say it was a success. Great value in your videos! Inspirational content!

I do realize you don't need licensing but you need to be a registered company/business WITH insurance. I looked into it and the cleaning business, landscaping... That reg. plus, insurance is far more than 500 start up.
The background music isn't annoying like that of other videos from other UA-camrs. I finish watching.
What language do you speak?
Great content! Thanks for creating and sharing it. They should teach our kids in high school! This is easy to learn, and you don't need to attend a business school. Yet, generations leave high school unprepared to be entrepreneurs and business owners (with exceptions).

The title of this video is very presumptuous 😄 I just stumbled upon this lol! But if it works for many people that is a bonus 👍
full of knowledge and valuable information! good job

I'm all for starting a business. Even if you fail it's going to give a much better picture of how to valuate them later. And should you fail, don't run to another sector, stay in your sector until you get it right. This part a lot of people get wrong. You're going to make plenty of mistakes early on but that's ok, it takes years to refine a process then you eventually get to a place you can scale.
this is a golden comment right here. Give this man more likes
That's what I was thinking.
And that doesn't even count the job losses that are coming thanks to AI and robots over the next decade or so.
If your neighbor was selling homemade bread and instead of going all the way to the store you can knock on her door.....
Or lets say your other neighbor sold makeup. Another neighbor did hair....dunno
Let's get into that upper quadrant baby...working hard attracts the peeps to build that empire. We gonna get it!!!

Just because your lazy and not willing to put in the work doesn't mean everyone is. It's still better than working a 9 to 5 job for someone else.
Service with a high skill job can easily bring 80-160/hour.
Retail can be changed to online biz with no physical inventory you touch.
Restaurants could be food trucks or ghost kitchens.
If you own a business why not do the work yourself until you have gained enough capital to invest in workers? Especially cleaning/restaurants
It just sounds like your ducking lazy I seen cleaning businesses SOAR if done right and I’m doing it right without a legal llc and I’m good enough to quit my full time job now I’m going deep you should get off your ass and do something why tf are you looking at this video
