  • Lewis Porter is joined, this time by Carp Media Manager Harry Charrington, as they tackle Mark Pitcher's 'Wainstones Pool', nestled deep in the Yorkshire Moors. The session is far from easy, but with some stunning Northern carp to go at at an equally stunning venue, the pair put their heads together and manage to outwit some of the pool's residents.
Fox Fishing TV is home to a huge collection of carp fishing videos. With clips and films ranging from, The Challenge with Mark Pitchers and Chilly’s Vlog to all the very latest product videos and Free Carp Fishing DVD’s at Fox Fishing TV we have carp-related content covered. Fox International is one of the world’s biggest carp fishing tackle manufacturers, supplying well over 3000 products to carp anglers who require quality fishing tackle that is up to our exceptionally high standards. Fantastic video and a very exciting venue for the north, can only be a good thing, a superb example of a well thought out lake. Well done Mark and hope the hard work pays off when you open this year!

Maybe there is a lot of birds, ducks etc on the lake so zigs and floaters are banned for the people who are asking. There is a lot of lakes who have this rule now. The lake looks unreal now credit to you mark and the work put into it.

Lewis when you was showing your rig and said about the northern special wafters, are they specially rolled for you, coming out soon or did you mean to say pop ups? I know the Dumbells are out. I just prefer a round bait and they also looked a bit bigger than cc Moore’s usual baits

Can I ask how come mark doesn't allow zigs or surface fishing as he does a fair bit of both on other lakes , just wondering??

Ben Nicholson hi Ben, I don’t allow zigs because it’s a shallow lake, average depth 4ft, and when we allowed them before too many fish were getting foul hooked. As for no floaters, this is because I feed the fish on floating trout pellets on a weekend when no one will be fishing (fishing is Monday to Friday only). The reason for using floaters as feed is it allows me to see how the fish are feeding and check their condition, plus it also means there will be no uneaten bait on the lake bed before new anglers arrive the following week, so anglers will be “starting a fresh” so to speak. At the end of the day I’m trying to grow the carp as big as possible, so by not allowing floaters the fish never view them with caution so are a readily consumed food source.
