Marks knowledge on this is mindblowing. thank you for the clear presentation, i ve learned a lot. i only got one question left: where do you cast your zig? i guess it doesnt matter if its over a clear spot or not, but what about features? middle of the lake or close to islands or patrol routes? ideally id cast it around showing fish but when there is no sign on the surface? thanks.
Nice! It does drop off very fast there. Quite shallow by the reeds at the side of the double peg 1 opposite, but it drops away very quickly - perfect place for adjustable zigs.
to avoid line twist when using adjustable zigs, use the reels retrieval rate (usually 100cm/3ft ish) and the anti reverse to adjust/move the zig/float etc. if your hooklength is 3ft thats one turn of your handle. so when the float breaks the surface.. one turn should bring the 3ft hooklength to just under the surface. alternatively, once cast out on a tight line one full turn in reverse means ur at 6ft. so if in 12ft of water its 3 full reversed turns till your floats near the surface.
That's spooky. Just come off my 3rd water where over hanging trees and limited wading space have stopped me using zigs longer than 6ft. Came in and immediately bought a Fox adjustable zig, an hour later and this pops up haha
All this year's of "Experience"... Why you always a fish Tiny little Muddy Paddles for your videos??? What's wrong with Big lakes like B1 B2, or any other Big Commercial lakes Mark????
