I think it says a lot about their love that after all this time apart, after all she's been through with grieving him, she can still joke that she hates him and he still sees right through her. He knows her inside and out, and no amount of time or new relationships is going to change the bond these two had

@@trinitykelleher2280 I don't think they are good friends? I've seen so many things about Ellen saying how they didn't actually kiss in the scenes anymore, plus I believe they didn't really talk after he left the show

@@shakibzz They are good friends. He just needed to step back cause being on a show that long is rough. Patrick found a picture of him and Ellen and reached out to her which she was going to reach out to him any way. Ellen was the one who talked to Patrick into coming back while on a hike and apparently they do coffee and lunch dates.
@@shakibzz She just meant that they didn't kiss kiss like with tongue all of the interview she always said how Patrick was good kisser. But in Season 11 they didn't really kiss until like 2 episodes before be died cause they were fighting the whole season. Ellen actually was on the set in Dereks death episode while he was helping the people in the accident. She wanted to be there for Patrick.

I'm totally crying at 2 in the morning right now and I've been convincing myself to watch greys anatomy season 12 from latest but I can't, I'm still heart broken because of derek sudden death. I dont want mer to die because they still have children but if the writer decide to kill mer in the season finale I hope they give a clip of mer and derek being together in afterlife 🥺💔💔
