For everyone complaining, it's also hard to get the actors to come back for a brief 3 seconds. This is how Meredith remembers them. Yes, it could've been done better, but it's old footage.

i legit like the footage of Derek because it was from a happy memory (the proposal) and in the last season he was in it was mostly bad memories

I think that they tried to replace Derek with a new “MacDreamy”. When Lexie died, they replaced her with a new sister: Maggie. Now when the best couple Arizona and Callie are gone they needed a new gay couple. Because they want to show that they support the LGBTQ community. So they took in a new hot gay guy to get together with the guy with the glasses. What I’m trying to say is that you can’t just replace people. We will never love Maggie as much as we loved Lexie, and we will never love some of Meredith’s love interests as much as we loved Derek. And don’t even get me started on Calzona. When Derek died i lost interest in the show. Ill still watch it from time to time but not as much as i use to. I watch reruns of the who when he was still on more then i do any newer episodes

No.. they were literally the definition of bromance to the point where someone thought they were a couple. Mark frickin slept with Derek's wife and Derek could move past it bc what they had was so brother like. I love Mark and Lexi but Derek and Mark's brother ship is amazing

No need to thank Shonda. She’s currently not affiliated with the show. Krista Vernoff is Grey’s Anatomy’s new show runner. Shonda is taking a more hands off approach to work on shows Netflix is paying her to create.

As a music lover myself I love how they delicately pick a specific song for a specific scene. Like I freaking broke down when this song came on and it was in Spanish no less to correspond with the Day Of The Dead theme. Absolutely perfect. I don’t even speak Spanish but I still broke down. Also I love that each episode title is a name of a song. That type of genius is super under appreciated. So whoever had that idea kudos to them.

When Meredith tried to talk to the people that were alive they couldn’t hear her so maybe there al stuck their and they’ll all come back like Meredith did

I wish that when she said good night to the nurse and she “faced” Lexi she put her hand on heart, and when we heard Derek’s “Hey” she turned around. I love the scene none the less. It made the episode for me as I found a majority of boring especially Teddy not being able to tell Owen

This chapter... i can not explain what I felt, to see Derek and that smile in Mark, while the song was there, i just wanted to cry
It literally destroyed me. First her mother stopping and even stepping aside, then George and the dog and then Derek. And of course Sloan would be laughing. That guy finds joy even in being dead.... It felt so so real... Cudos people.

Quite possibly the most moving scene in Grey's for ages when we see all the people Meredith has lost. I cried my eyes out for her and for the people I've lost.

Both pairings are kinda cute, but even if pursued I don't think it'll work in the long run. Andrew & Atticus both are I don't know how to say, but kinda misfit to date Mer who has 3 kids. Age gap is not a factor for me. But these guys personality don't go with someone who Mer can date in a serious way.
p.s.: After killing/seprating MerDer, Izzex, Slexie, Calzona (in my 💖 they are together in NYC), Crowen, Japril, Samdrew, Merthan the creators have now decided to wedge an axe on Benley.. Seriously, can't they leave atleast one couple alone??.
