      @@22espec it says it was based on a true story. Not that it is a true story. I did research on the man depicted in the movie and he did exist, he protected Mustang horses and he was involved in long distance horse races. So, the movie is based in truth. And I highly doubt that people wouldn't like the movie because it wasn't true enough to actual history. Most people have no idea about the actual man depicted in the movie. So, why would they be offended if the movie took liberties about the real story of this man's life? They wouldn't.

      @@daletwin1 Saying this movie was 'based in a true story' is like saying that the Lord of the Rings was based in true story, all of what he claims he did has been debunked, he probably never won a single horse race in his life, the only thing partially true was that he worked for Buffalo Bill but not in his show he was just a handyman there, he was just good in talling tall tales.

      @@hastobe303 I think this person means when it comes to indigenous prayer. It's not singing so much as a spiritual experience. Viggo here sounds just like a native deep in prayer and he is a white man (Not sure if Viggo is native)

    • @hastobe303
      @hastobe303 2 роки тому +2

      @@MordyMcCheese I know what he means. However, my point is that if you do the old switcheroo then it doesn’t sound very nice.
      Heard of the rock band Winterhawk? They play bluesy hard rock quite good for being Native Americans. They should join us real rockers on stage some time.
      Honestly, I don’t really care. But it gets a little weird that people can say anything they want about the white man, but as soon as they open their mouths on minorities they are bigots. Not trying to say anything political other than pointing out the double standard. You wouldn’t say a black man is pretty good at singing heavy metal considering he’s black, just because it’s not the norm.
      The same goes for spirituals. Of course a white man can learn how sing Native chants. Just the same as how a Native American can learn how to sing psalms. It’s about connecting to the spiritual, not what color your skin is.
      Also no, Viggo does not have Native roots. Danish and American parents. But he is a professional actor and a good singer.

    IN REMEMBRANCE-
    On the morning of November 29, 1864, Colonel John Chivington led a regiment of 700 volunteer militiamen into a sleeping Cheyenne and Arapaho village at Sand Creek, Colorado. Though their leader, Black Kettle, flew the American flag above his teepee , symbolizing passiveness and peace and he raised the white flag of surrender and instructed his people to stand under the post to prove to soldiers that they were unarmed and not hostile, Chivington and his men viciously murdered 200 to 600 people - mostly women, children , and the elderly - and only a handful of men who were not participating in the hunting expedition escaped.

    In a way, every person does this in some form or another. In whatever we do, we're taught the way to do it. Then over years and years we start to do things different from how we were taught. We stray. Just like he strayed. But there are always moments when we're stuck and need help. And we return to the ways we were taught and we find the answers. Whenever I am stuck I simply return to the ways I was taught and I always find my answer.
