This also reduces wind noise so much! Recording Engine noise is much easier, even up to triple digits. Anything faster obviously, I think I'd worry more about the GoPro falling off then wind noise. But Tank Mounting is definitely the way to go.
Thank you so much for this video! Simple things can be so easy sometimes. I had to find a solution for my next racetrack visit, where helmet mounted cameras are not allowed. Now I found it. Thanks a lot! Best wishes from Germany
@@moto.obsession I think it worked very well. I had no issues while driving and the Video was also stable (no vibrations so far). The only thing I struggled was to find a way to secure it with a rope (our racetrack and organizer were very strict with us, but it woked fine). Next time I need a solution for the wind noise :) Best wishes from Germany
This is very informative and accurate but the downside for me is that i cant seem to find M5 0.8 x 55mm screw anywhere…. Went to two home depot, lowes, ace hardware but they dont have the 55mm long
Just gonna slap the gopro on the tank for now with sticky mount. How slow is that r3 lol ? Got a ducati supersport 950 for my first bike and it's boring slow
You are doing the Lord’s work. You are a scholar and a saint.

BladedAngel? What are you doing here 😂❤
Its a brilliant idea mount the gopro that way. Thanks for sharing!

Was the track good with the camera being mounted to the bike similar to how I have it in the video?

Thanks for the video you have solved my camera mount problems
this is what i've been looking up to! thx
How would you tuck in then?? Stick with the chin mount set up also easier to get footage on multiple bikes…
I don’t go fast enough to need to fully tuck but yeah if you are tucking in or at a track you would want to go with a different route.

Yeah you might have to order it online, I had it only at one of my local hardware stores
very clever, thanks
👍
Great idea for the track or off-road but as it shows the speed you're riding at it's a definite no-go for me for road riding.
you wont be able to vlog with this ? The mic in your helmet will be way far from the go pro and its going to be hectic one to set up again and again.
I just love your vids. Helpful.

No one I know gets an R3 to be faster than other bikes 😂
Great idea, dude!
Looks like ride 4 (moto simulator game), rly nice, im going to try this
Hey man, I’m enjoying your videos. Very informative and easy to follow. Just got one question...what length is the double socket you are using?
It’s the shortest one, I think they name is size small. If you use the longer ones it tends to shake the camera too much.
@@moto.obsession ok great. That makes sense, thanks.
Awesome solution! One question, must the m5 screw be 55mm long? Can it be shorter since the original one is shorter too
You may have to try a bit... in case just cut the scew carefully or buy another one in the later known length✌🏻
I got that size as it’s equals about the same as the OEM one when you account for the raised part of the mount - hope that makes sense
I have a scooter so gas tank mount is not possible but I’ll try the helmet mount.
Question. What is the length of the screw that goes in the gas tank? after you put it on the Ram ball mount. Is it 27mm?
Its a M5-0.8 x 55 mm Bolt
Couldn't be more in the way.
👍
Does it get in the way when you tuck
Simple & useful 👍🏾
Thanks, I hope it helps!
does this work for the ninja 500 too?
should I use a wide angle for this position?
What filter are you using on your go pro? :)
Wud this work on a nakedbike? I mean the gastank is maybe not as high as supersport bikes so..
I'm trying to find a 55mm bolt - i'll update if I can get it to work.
Amazon link ???
Can i take race position on my tank with that type of camera mount ?
No, it gets in the way
Can you not just stick the standard flat mount on the tank?
Not on the R3, all the default GoPro mounts they include don’t conform to the shape well or block the key/opening to get into the gas tank.
Can you still full tuck arount the gas tank mount?
Not really, this is better for regular road use and not going crazy fast. If you are needing to fully tuck a lot I would stick with the chin Mount.
Too bad my visor is jet black
Anyone know if the RAM mounts gas tank will fit a 22 r7?
no tucking ig😢
was so excited but then see my gas tank has no screws....
Bruh
See now if you can in a crash and lose the cam thats on you
If I crash I’m not going to be worried about my camera all that much
