50% leakage to where? I guess it was up the dipstick or through the oil filler to be piston hay bud? Poor young lady having to hold back the crank with 100/125 psi in the cylinder. Your a task master alright! Hahahaha. Love your work mate.
i think i have cracked piston/s in my MK6 R, when i decelerate and then take off, usually low rpm it will blow smoke on take-off, if i keep the revs up by knocking it back gears it doesnt blow smoke, is that a sign of a cracked piston ?
@PTPrecisionAutomotive I've let it sit for over a week, doesn't blow any smoke on start up at all, that was my first thoughts the problem was. Yes doing a leak down test today, compression when cold was 115, 125, 125, 125.
Would there be lag in power with the piston operating like that? I'm having the same issue I had my turbo replaced and after replacing it the car (2016 Golf 1.8 TSI) would not get to 4000 miles without the oil warning on the dash I currently have 179K for miles and the consumption is getting worse No lag in power
Pre 2010 where bad engines for piston and rings plus when you increase power the crank starts walking by by thrust bearing, German engines are not what they used to be

Would a compression test give a similar result? also could it be a valve stem seal, or wouldn't that be as pronounced?
not really , car is running fine, just burning and using oil. this way it loads the cylinder and we can hear and see whats going on.
Good tes and tool leak oil👍

no most probably valve stem oil seals. should do a cylinder leak down test.

No lag in power
i would do a leak down test on each cylinder.
