Hi Daniel! Not at all. I think it's helpful to have a background in design but it seems the job outlook is even more favorable for those who can combine code + design. If you're interested in learning web design I would start on that path and sprinkle in design classes when you can through online portals like Udemy, Skillshare, LinkedIn Learning, etc. It's helpful to know the basics of layout design, color theory, and typography.
