- The BMW 5 series is the latest model to receive the electrified treatment. Known for its combination of sporty and luxurious elements, will it be just as loved in its electric form?
The i5 comes in two different specifications, the G60 eDrive and the M60 and I was lucky enough to experience both.
Question is...which did I prefer???

Neither car would fit my budget but I can appreciate the engineering that goes into these cars. The expression on your face driving the M version was enough to correctly guess the conclusion and I don't blame you.4 wheel drive not only helps getting off the line but really comes into its own on less grippy surfaces. The 2 WD i5 could be an interesting if not scary animal in very slippery conditions. Many thanks for sharing.

Attention to detail? Have a look at those hard black plastic buttons on the doors. Cost cutting by BMW.

Recently, BMW launched an eDrive30 i5 in Turkey with 215bhp and 400Nm. 0-62 in 7.9 seconds, and a claimed range of 363 miles. It still supports 205kW DC fast charging. Costs 3,900,000 Turkish lira (under £140,000).
@@24k__J Cars are super expensive in Turkey.
It’s all to do with a special consumption tax based on pre-tax price and in the case of electric cars, power output. For combustion engines, the special consumption tax is based on engine displacement and pre-tax price.
Luckily this doesn’t apply here in Britain.

A proper i5 needs the power of the M60 and the range of the edrive 40.
I'm thinking they should have enabled the front,...or rear motor to be 'decoupled' in Eco mode,....thus enabling a nice boost in range! But what do I know,...I'm no 'Engineer'!
