      Thank you! Really quite please with the finds! The bacon roll kept the troops moving :D
      I’ve cleaned those unidentified finds up a little. Definitely worth a little research. I’ve been fairly flat out since getting back! It’s on the agenda 🌱😊

    1:30 it looks like you missed another (that has been caught by the camera), its about a hand's width diagnonnaly up and right of the one you picked up. You can just see the ridges emerging through the sand !

    Walked along both sides of the Charmouth beach today 14th May 2024 not found a single fossil? Strange how the you tube videos find loads of Ammonites on the surface

    also at 4:44, his thumb literally bumped another one while picking up one ammonite. The other one looks kind of cool, like it was a double decker.

      Very Observant thank you for watching through. Many folk comment on my videos and ask me questions without watching in entirety! I must say I may have pick it up out of shot but maybe I didn’t you might spot it in a upcoming video where I intend to through my Jurassic coast finds! I’m happy a lucky person or youngster might have found it and may treasure it. This was a exceptional trip for pyrite ammonites can’t scoop them all :D

    Really unexpected and really interesting. As a kid in Australia all i ever wanted to be was a paleontogolist. Until I found out you dont get paid much :)

      Thank you Xav! There’s more to life the government fun tokens I’m sure 😂 much the same as a kid obsessed with Dinos nature ect you soon realise the best jobs in them fields are rare, seemingly impossible to get into and underpaid. I guess it’s like being a footballer to some chasing the dream! 🌱

    Some nice finds there! I only have a couple of non fossil suggestions to make. Number one: Don't waste your money on Costa coffee. Go to the Galley Cafe!! Second thing: Bacon sandwich with no butter or brown sauce looked dry and disappointing but I do like your folding stove thing. 🤙

    Ammonites lived during the Jurassic and Cretaceous time periods. In the Triassic, it was Ceratites that were living. And before the Ceratites, Goniatites were the ammonoids living.

    If you're not sure what you have found ask the bloke in the museum. He is very helpful and knows his fossils. I thought I'd found a load of dino teeth but he had a look and they turned out to be belemnites (a bit like straight ammonites) really quite cool. He'd be able to identify your unknown finds I'm sure.

      We would have popped in there but our trip was fairly out of season I guess and most days we come back from adventures and the shops be shut! I love the visitor centre and little shop there tho deffo worth a look!

    • @legendgodmyth

      No way you called belemnites straight ammonites that are completely different as belemnites are the backbone of the squid

    • @suiseki2571
      @suiseki2571 Рік тому

      @@legendgodmyth Yes way, I described them as "a bit like a straight ammonite". If you had read the previous part of my comment where I said that I thought they were "dino teeth" then you would have realized that I am no expert on the subject, quite clueless really but they are very interesting.
