I've found it's best to change the white filter every 2-3 weeks if I'm not lazy. Get's pretty nasty and the walls of the container get quite slimy.
Yeah, with two cats, we change it weekly. It was kinda nasty after a week.
How do you know if the sponges are supposed to go that way and not facing the opposite way (flipping it completely over)
