Good video Jon. 😎The leather bases on the rear seats are only Velcro'd on. Get them lifted and you're likely to find a fair bit of crud underneath like I did even though it was dealer prepped. Doing the inside of the rear glass was hard work but once you've seen the marks from the outside, they have to be done. I used Gtechniq's Tri-Clean for the plastic and leather surfaces, then their Leather protect, Matt dash and Perfect Glass - really impressed with the results. Never owned a car from new so I don't feel like the car is mine until I've done a full interior detail and it's a bonus to see a detail of a car you actually own as you know all the little bits that can be missed - like those rear leather seat bases! 😉😃
Yes I want to see a video on that orange little brush and where in the US I can purchase. Also love the sniffles Jon. I appreciate your hard working on your knees🫡🤜🏽👍
Superb ! And approved by 997 owner ! I do this routine 2 times in the summer season on my 997 (only a summer car) i use nerta apc, gyeon preserve on the interiour surfaces and doors.. on the leather i only use the colourlock system... but very nice that you test a varierty of products Jon
Same. The exterior is in fantastic conditions. Looks like its been the daily of someone. I suppose if you got the money for one of these, you can afford to daily it as well. I reckon the exterior has been detailed or at worst valeted. Although not seeing the paint up close, doesn’t appear like there are many scratches on it.
@@ForensicDetailing yikes. Would apc/interior cleaner be enough to take that off John? Or something stronger like a steam cleaner so often I’ve seen on US based channels?
Great video 👍 Will getting cracking on my Cayman S in the spring. The interior is near identical to the 997. Best wishes for the festive period to you and your subscribers Jon 👍👍
Jon when will you feature that guy again the one with the 987 Porsche Cayman. He's got a UA-cam channel too which you must know of. Think he's name was Mark
Hi Jon. What a fantastic and informative video. I have a Porsche 996 with the same door cards and have struggled to clean the speaker grilles, so your advice is fantastic. I have ordered the brush and the Geist cleaning solution. One part of the detailing that you didn't show, and I had hoped to see, as it is another area I struggle with, is cleaning the interior of the rear window. I just cannot reach it, even when I climb into the back of the car. Do you use any sort of long reach tool? Thanks for your videos Tony
I dont mate, I just do you tube. Freshlayers work hard to promote their business by doing good work, investing in high quality video to advertise their products, using social media, SEA google stuff, word of mouth etc.. If your starting up as a detailer you should be at least using your smart phone to show you work, it does not take a massive amount of effort to do it, get to know local body shops and establish relationships with them give their cards to customers and have your cards there so you can recomend each others services. maybe look to signup to Pro Valeters Association to get work this way as well. I would also look at doing coatings as a detailer. Coatings are easy and fast to apply after polishing a car but you can turn a 150 quick detail into a 500-600 quid detail with coatings.
@@ForensicDetailing okay ! I thought you did youtube while doing some customer details! Thanks for the respond as always I appreciate it my friend 🙏🏼🙏🏼 And yes I do coatings as a mobile detailer but people usually go for the cheap stuff unfortunately need to target different type of customers
Aha Need help. I valet detail cheap cars plastic doors. I know APC kills leather seats. Don’t use. Spray APC all my cloth cars plastic door cards. Cheap cars. What to use extended leather door cards please Jon. Saw you’re using a Gel product
Appreciate its about personal taste but the colour is just awful, I really dont mean to be disrespectful but the wrap needs to go lol the amount of excellent content you are putting out is fantastic John. Love 911s but its a terrible colour, once again it really is about taste but it makes a fantastic car look a tad cheap.
color is personal choice, others in the comments love the color. it came with this wrap on it. I like the color, but Im probably more of an OEM paint guy. Aparently it had a really high end respray done on it before the wrap. So maybe we take the wrap off and look under it, or rewrap it. Maverick is right its a car thats been used, but its also had a lot of work dont to it, new suspension, new disks and pads, new alloys new cup2 tyres, uprated IMS, new clutch etc.. drives really nice. You get a minter and you literally dont want to drive it.

Can't beat a bit of PORTISHEAD 👍🏻👍🏻
Loads of great tips here Jon. Lovely car for sure but are you running the Forensic Detailing Channel or the Freshlayers detailing channel…
Excellent work John
100k miles and it's in such great condition?
I'm actually amazed

valeted for sure, but not detailed, dead skin on lots of the buttons etc...

any decent apc mate, its the rubbing with the microfiber that really grabs it, the APC will just help to brake it down a bit.

you too darren thx m8
Felt like I was watching a car cleaning guru video haha 😎
Top tip, use a magic sponge on the steering wheel, makes light work of the gunk.
im not sure if thats gonna be good for the top coat dave

I'd be terrified of using that brush on my dash,it must be softer than it looks.

Halfords sell decent glass tool on a stick that's great for that m8
Hello mate what’s the best product to use for Alcantara cleaning
use any good textile cleaner mate or textile safe APC.
👍 Secured 2 Lucullan brushes from Ali Express 🫡 Thanks Sir Jon of Forensic MI6👍
Jon coupd you please suggest best way of getting rid of white paint overspray off my steering wheel please
try and pick off with thumbnail mate without damaging leather. its likely any chemical strong enough to break down paint will damage the leather.
Good video that one Jon, and something a bit different. Actually really like the colour of that wrap, it looks like original Porsche olive green.
Think that small brush needed to be rinsed and then more product added - looked dirty which defeats the object of the detail...just saying
The link for the brush doesnt work Jon
try now mate.
Whats the point of cleaning the door cards if you are going to eat your dinner off them?
Doesn’t Martin have the beautiful blue Audi RS6 Wagon?
no m8
@@ForensicDetailing oh ok. I love his car. Thanks Jon 👋
You might be talking about Lewis's car, that was an RS4 though!!!
How do you go abouts to getting your customers? I struggle with getting more customers

No Surfex HD John?
didnt have it to hand mate but that would work great.

😂 it’s an old 911 with 100k on it, that gets used, not a garage Queen, im pretty sure the owner likes it
