I've heard that some ASUS F15 laptops from 2021 have 4 RAM slots. Is this possible? When I checked my laptop's Task Manager, I found that it indeed has a total of 4 RAM slots, with each slot having a maximum capacity of 32 GB of RAM. Using the command prompt, I identified the maximum capacity of my laptop's RAM, which turned out to be 134,217,728 kilobytes. I then divided this by 1,048,576 to convert it into gigabytes, and it turned out to be a total of 128 GB-the maximum RAM capacity of the system, consistent with having four RAM slots.
Do you know how much max RAM and SSD capacity this model supports? Official site says 32 GB max RAM and 1TB max SSD. However upon contacting Asus support they confirmed this model can support 2TB. The only way to confirm this is to install more than 2TB SSD and more than 32 GB RAM
quick question, I know it has 2 physical RAM slots, but mine only says 1 of 4 slots used. does that mean I have 1 free slot or both of them are occupied?
If replacing the SSD in the 1st slot, do you need a metal strip attached to the SSD itself (the original SSD has some type of metal strip attached to it) and do you need to put it in the aluminum sleeve that the original SSD is in?
Probably not. I'd say the strip and the sleeve are there to protect against an accidental short. As long as you avoid poking the SSD with your screwdriver you should be fine.
I am confused. We have same laptop exactly FX506H. Is that slot at the bottom right for SATA SSD/HDD? Can I use additional Nvme ssd and another additional sata in there?
Yes, Included in the box should be a ribbon to sata adapter to mount a slimline 2.5" disk. Alternatively you might have a bigger battery that will take up that space. Cable: FX506/706 HDD FFC
@@stefandebeer6796 i have a scenario, what if.. I have the stock Nvme which have my OS, then another Nvme SSD, and then 1 SATA SSD? So can i install 3 SSD (1 - NVme Stock With OS, 1 - Nvme SSD upgrade, 1- SATA SSD upgrade)? Is it a bad decision or simply stupid?
I got a couple broken old acers, can I use the 8GB RAM chips from those in here? is there space for an additional hdd? I ask because I'm thinking of switching from my ph 315 54 to this one because the charging port/mosfet broke 5 times within the same first year of use and I really don't want something that breaks all the time like that.

what ssd stick would you reecommend using. kinda worried I get the wrong SSD stick to upgrade mine.
What brand of ssd and ram is compatible for asus tuf f15 i5 11th gen rtx3050 bro?
is it possible to add 2tb in one slot to this model?

Almost looked like it had a slot/connector for a 2.5” drive in the lower right corner… oh well. Woulda been nice 2x m2’s and a SATA…

Yeah it's not required.

I have Asus TUF F15 i5 gaming laptop. It's showing 2/4 RAM used in the task manager. does it have 4 ram slots?
I think there should be only 2 physical slots that are actually wired. The other two are maybe just templates on the PCB and not physically usable.
great laptop, easy to work on.
thanks for the video
You're welcome!
Is it possible to switch the 48 whr with 90 whr one, does the back cover somehow prevent it.
I would be more concerned with the voltage rating. The 90wh ones I could find are closer to 15v, whereas the 48wh ones are rated at 11.8v.
it's currently listed on amazon canada for $750 before taxes, were you able to get a better price and if so where? thanks
No, I bought it for $800 before tax :(
I bought it through Amazon in Japan, it was like 500$, I got very lucky
I still don't understand in this clip 4:56 why you can't put 2 ssd?
You can, of course. I was just showing the process of removing and reinstalling an nvme SSD.
Can you add both a second ssd and a hdd??
Yes
are the plastic covers necessary?
Of the SSD? No. Not required.

What specs are the RAM? Are they DDR4? Or let me know the model of the Acer I can look it up for ya.
@@ComputerizedCanada it's the 8GB DDR4 chips from the PH 315 54 model
Snapped my backplate in half bc the screws were so tight
Would this void the warranty?
Not in my country, no.
Bro I have same model laptop but it came with 4x2 8gb ram ... So I can't upgrade😢
Ya you would have to buy 2x8 or bigger, and sell the stock sticks.
hey is it worth buying? the performance and all?
