I’ve had a set on my bt50 for at least 3 years now and they have held up really well. They hardly let mud get up there and definitely easy to hose out.
Go to an auto wrecker like I did and pick up a set engine and bar/steering steel 4mm. Bend it back to fit, grind the old paint and primer back till shiny chrome and start from scratch. 2 plates $75, bit of flappy disc attention, can of primer and what ever paint you want. Obviously suited to the conditions. Looks good for a quick sell too!
They look like a good buy and I'm considering them for my Tuna. Would you have any recommendations for transmission and transfer case protection to be paired with this? From what I've found I could pick up a TJM transmission plate, but if I wanted the transfer case protection I'd have to go with a full set of Brown Davis plates, which in this and a few other videos of yours you have said you wouldn't do again. Yes they are tough. Mine have survived a good beating. Time to fill the gouges up and paint, but they are still straight.
Mine were a bit second hand by the time I sold the old girl but they definitely did their job ✌️

Looks really good. Those compression spacers are to take up the bulk of an impact on the bash plates?

How many mm are stock plates compared to the 4mm plates mate?
the factory plate would be hardly 1mm they're just cheap crap and don't really cover much

I’m using Bushskinz plates for the tranny and transfer case.
