      @@andream5998 I see your point and I do agree about a lot of what you wrote, but I still think Stephanie did not have to bring Dylan's trial into that particular conversation. For once, Thorne and his situation could have had her full attention, when he was clearly so distraught because he can't be with the woman he loves when she could be dying. It just felt like such a trivial thing for her to weigh down Thorne with at a time when he's dealing with literal life and death issues.

      @@annieo6527 I agree to an extant. She could have brought this up another time. She could have been more encouraging.
      I can't see why Thorne can't be with Macy. He can simply walk over there to be with her and support her regardless what she said or the family feud is.
      Thorne and Stephanie don't know it yet for sure of it is a life or death situation. They aware it could be, so I do get your point.
      Still sensitivity isn't necessarily a thing anyone in the forrester family (which i include here for once brooke and her brats as well, ususally don't view them really as members of this family) seems to be well equiped with, that includes Thorne, rigde and eric. And yet Stephanie as well.
      I'm not often sure if that is intentionally on Stephanie's part or simply writers lazyness or if Stephanie can't be from time to time be emotionally empatic because of her childhood absue background. Im not sure if the writers are sometimes contradicting themelves. She seems sometimes overbearing and overprotective (also of Thorne) and sometimes so deattched. It's Christmas and Santa brings Macy a cancer diagnosis. 😢💔
    All those decorations in the hospital room are both heartwarming and so very very sad.
    And the interactions between Sally and Macy are so poignant in these scenes, from Macy asking her mother to just hold her, to Sally panicking when Macy is diagnosed with cancer and Macy comforting _her_ by saying "it's all right" and squeezing her hand. It's also heartbreaking how Macy is completely numb at first and continues to calmly discuss her treatment and prognosis with her doctor, and then after the doctor leaves the room both Sally and Macy kind of "deflate" and gasp for air.

    What a difference it makes when the two stronger storylines are the focus of an episode. As has already been mentioned, Kimberlin Brown's performance here is a tour de force. The way she plays out Sheila's emotional responses as she becomes increasingly unhinged is soap opera acting at its finest.

    • @annieo6527
      @annieo6527 Рік тому +5

      I agree! These are the two strongest storylines at the moment, and we got an _entire_ episode of scenes with the show's most compelling actresses - Susan Flannery, Kimberlin Brown and Darlene Conley. Bobbie Eakes and Ian Buchanan also delivered today.

    Poor Thorne. There he is, pouring his heart out to his mother about his love for Macy, her rejection of him, and his fear that she might be dying, and Stephanie manages to redirect the conversation to her own rivalry with Sally over Jessica and Dylan - _knowing_ how much pain the rivalry between their families has caused Thorne and Macy - and telling Thorne how he certainly can't expect any ceasefire between the two families, even now.
    By the way, Thorne is in a different time zone from the rest of LA. It's been only a few hours for him (Thorne saying that he left the hospital "today", "a few hours ago") while it's the next day for everyone else (Sheila talking in episode 1940 about how she was going to Big Bear "tomorrow" and now she's there). Did the writers miss this or did they change the order of some scenes while editing the episodes?

      I would tend to think it was editing issue. But I could see writers overlooking it when we have two or more stories going on. Funny thing is no one caught it.
      There have been instances in the past where it’s seemingly the next day (or some future day) for some of the characters but the same day for others based on their clothes lol. She says the day she married her father-husband was her best day, yet she spent most of it ducking and diving Lauren! I thought her wedding day to Scott would be her best? Absolutely! Sheila's one of the best written characters on the show. What makes her so compelling is that her _motivations_ are the stuff of normal soap characters (wanting to be loved etc) but what she does to achieve her goals makes her a villain. So when she's in a jam like this episode, you actually feel for her or relate to her even though you know you shouldn't. You want her to slip the trap whenever it tightens around her.

      I’m so very sorry. Do you have a good medical support team? Palliative care team? You need someone to talk to, but my heart goes out to you for all you’re going through 💔
