I've been an L-TWOO consumer over the years, their A7 Elite is a 10-speed groupset that can go to 50T and is thus a staple drivetrain of choice here in the Philippines.
I guess it's a similar concept as a dropper post. But instead of moving just the post out of your way, it moves the frame. Sounds great, but I don't know how much I trust it. If the development goes further and the concept can be proven, it's probably still not a gamechanger, but as long as it's safe (as safe as an mtb can be anyway), I'd love one
This year has been my favorite Euro-bike series! Owen has done a great job of presenting all the new cool tech! Now I’m wanting a Nicholai16, Clik valves, Pirelli Enduro race tires, Tubolito spares, and new light weight back & knee protectors! And there was lots more I loved, but might be out of my reach (Dangerholm & Evil bikes). Love how Owen presents all the details! He is fantastic!!!
Hold up for one second please. So it gives you weather updates when you swipe your phone over the saddle right? Can't your phone do that already? Like without any help?
I enjoyed the show but fyi NFC (as used in that saddle) has been around for years and is not Ai. It seems that as soon as some one doesn't understand how something works they then call it Ai.
#GMBNTECH: how is best way to change Sealant to a different brand with Cushcore inserts? How do you clean the inserts and prepare the wheel for the change?
Wow A 1999 Sunn radical+ oh no, my mistake it’s the new Nicolai an awesome bike but just goes to show there’s nothing new under the Sunn. Whatever next oval chain rings
Got to wonder with all this tech, flipchipery, squishy and shiny stuff... how does Owen keep up the enthusiasm to this level? Be honest is he coffee-powered? or does he just have a range extender?
#askgmbntech - so that Hans Rey saddle is using Adidas Boost foam (or something that looks very much like Boost foam) and I am guessing it is an NFC chip, rather than AI? (it just pushes you to download an app rather than adding any additional metrics?).
I think SQ Lab started using the BASF foam I think pre Adidas - and yes the NFC chip links to an AI app - which you can chat with for ride locations, weather cafe's etc? Cheers Owen
That 5 year old shoe needs to breath. Ive had 3 pairs and also have the sock version. I wear them in Canadien winters and don’t think weather proofing improves them.
The ironic thing is we have a vastly superior valve technology, it's called Schrader. Yet, every dingleberry bike company wants to replace the Presta valve with an obnoxiously-complex, completely proprietary valve. None of them have yet figured out that simplicity is key.
Tubeless was never a thing when they invented the presta valve. The valve by default is too restrictive in allowing air to pass through, and that is also what makes it more prone to clog up with tubeless goo. I got the 76Projects valves and I hope that some people will make a standard out of something similar to this because standard presta valves in 2024 is garbage. My valves allow more air to pass through, and they can be taken a part very easily so you can just remove any goo that may be there, and you are back rolling in no time. One of the dealbreakers for me is how much easier it is to rely on a mini pump that I carry while I'm trail side, where normal presta valves clogging up can make you struggle. The only thing that makes sense is to have valves that are intended to be used with the current standards, which obviously is tubeless. I want it to be an open patent so that anyone can create their own version of it and pumps and what not so anyone can pick up these items at their local bikeshop. I simply want it to become the new standard.
@@LaurentiusTriarius I own valves that do surpass standard presta valves. The problem is that they want to own this patent and given most people are afraid to try something new unless others do it before them, most people generally will just leave comments like yours. It needs to be an open patent created with the intention of making it an industry standard just like schrader, or dunlop or presta have been for a very long time. There are issues related to tubeless that were not thought of when presta was introduced to the market simply because it wasn't a thing back then. That's why there needs to be an updated standard given tubeless is very much an industry standard on its own. It's just like saying who needs rimtape when you can just use gorillatape instead(and have a lot of fun cleaning glue stuck to the rims afterwards). Well, it's good to have products that are made to work specifically with certain things. I'm not going to stop anyone if they still want to use tubes, and I'm not going to stop anyone wanting to use presta valves for the next 50 years either. I only want a new standard that are up to date so that people who do care can hop on that, and others can do what ever. PS: I've had brand new standard presta valves clog up over night, so I ain't going back.

How is an NFC chip with a hardcoded link an AI? 🤦🏻♂️
AI is everything, even punch cards were AI😂😂😂
It's not and you can absolutely report the company to the FTC for this false use of AI terminology
exactly what i thought, now anything remotely tech-y is AI.
If you care write to the company if you don't just boycott that bullsh...
I said the same thing the other day showering, my shampoo bottle proudly displays it's vegan and gluten-free.
🤦
That blue paint job on the Propane was beautiful. They need to make that an option on all their bikes.
Glad you like it!
Yeah in the fibre it looks amazing!

At 3:40 I thought I was trippin' for a second, but he totally repeated the same exact thing twice just a couple of seconds apart.😅😂🤣

I like the transformer bike. Not sure what it's good for but cool it is.

Awesome! 😎💯
The Bar/Stem on the Alutech is from Faserwerk, Switzerland ;)
as far as i know they belong to Arc8 Bikes.
Great insights - thank you!

There's already a manufacturer making custom 3d printed saddles. Company is called Posedla, it's from Czechia. Made from Carbon + TPU.

Great review. Might be time for a new wig.
I'm a fan of fizik shoes
Bizarrely Qvist will sell you that hub with a window in it so you can look at the ratchet!!

Petition to hold an event the following week of Eurobike called “Your Old Bike”.
Holy smokes that TRP is WILD
The bike at trp booth is designed and built by polish startup - black math bike 👍
Thanks for the info, it's the first variable geo bike I've seen that looks near production ready ... In awhile. Best of luck to them 😊

Why are 3D printed plastic bits on a bike thought to be so great? Why is that better than moulded stuff?

GMBN merch, specifically T's, are the rallying cry of mountain bikers worldwide.
sorry, why is 3d printed a nice feature? sounds a bit cheap to me? isn''t injection moulded far superior? or am i wrong?
Perhaps he meant that the chain protector is a nice feature. I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt on that one.

I just wanted to know who the girl in the pink mini skirt was...
So the tranformer bike is a hard tail with 2 expensive spings under the saddle ,if the rear chainstays not moving or am i missing something😊
I’m looking for tech that will improve my lung capacity and reduce lactic acid without having to do any extra work 😅

Why is everybody reinventing the valve??? What's wrong with our current valves? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
